That evening the Silver Crescent pack celebrated in true werewolf style. A bonfire in the woods, the stands set up for those wanting to fight and show off their strength, a BBQ banquet and drinks all around. It was in full swing, and Aila’s chest warmed at the sight of seeing her pack so happy.

Children still played, running around, giggling. Some of them, Aila recognised as those they’d rescued from the hunters’ compound. They looked happy, healthy and in nice clean, fitting clothes. Or as clean as they could be after climbing trees and playing in the dirt.

"My beautiful mate." Damon’s arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her into his chest and enveloping her in his warmth. "If you keep smiling like that, I will have to fight those lusting after you." Aila gasped and looked at him, her lips twitching as she giggled against his lips. "Or I might take you back to bed."

Aila slapped his hand at her stomach, shaking her head. "You naughty man," she mind-linked him. "We cannot leave. The pack is here to see us united."

"Ah, my little mate.. they will be more than happy for us to go off and make some wolf pups." His teeth nibbled on the side of her ear.

The bonfire burned brightly beside them, the crackle of wood and the laughter of adults and children alike bringing life to the woods. Those who decided to shift ran and barked, howling to the moon. But the Alpha and Luna remained in their little bubble. The noise filtered out like cotton balls stuffed in their ears, their senses only flickering towards each other.

"Later, my Alpha," she whispered, a grin stretching her lips. Damon was rubbing his scent all over her. He was so possessive, but it was cute. The other wolves would not dare go near their Luna. They knew who she belonged to. Her eyes turned to some of the she-wolves.

They didn’t seem to care her Alpha was spoken for, though.

"Hmmm, I like it when you say that." Damon smelled Aila’s hair deeply. She, in turn, glared at the she-wolves standing by, almost like they would pounce on her mate. Maybe she should exile them as rogues?

No, no. With Aila’s return, they would remember who she was and how Damon had only longed for her. Aila released her temper, trying to claw up her chest and throat at the she-wolves who sought her man.

Damon didn’t even realise they’d been eying him, flicking their hair to gain his attention. His eyes were on her. His mind was captivated by her. Without checking the bond, Aila could still tell she was the only woman for him.

Aila spun around then and linked her hands behind his neck, her back arching from his height. "MY Alpha," she purred against his lips before he deepened the kiss, his tongue dominating hers, clutching her body tightly to him. Instantly she felt his arousal and couldn’t help but grind her hips slightly, feeling herself getting turned on.

"Girl, you need to calm down. We need some rest!" Malia piped up. "Our thighs are about to give away from all that.. deliciously rough sex."

Oh, it had been delicious, alright.

Aila grinned at her wolf’s commentary and Damon’s reluctance to release her. She pulled back and sighed, "we need to socialise. I haven’t seen my pack in so long, and you kept me locked up in that room-"

"Without complaint, if I recall correctly." Damon pecked her lips again before reluctantly pulling away. "Fiiiine. But after this, I will have you all to myself again."

"Sure, sure." Aila nodded, grinning, though she couldn’t wait for their bedtime. "You better sort yourself out."

Damon followed her hungry stare and adjusted himself in his jeans with a smirk. With that, the pair started immersing themselves in the pack traditions, chatting with members that neither of them had conversed with in some time. Aila because of her kidnapping and Damon because he was beside himself. Now the pair looked radiant beside one another, laughing freely and discussing light topics.

"Queenie." Aila turned around as Damon was yanked away by Kane and Finn, who wanted to down shots with him. The Luna smiled as she saw Harry bowing with exaggeration, his hand against his stomach, ruffled red hair falling over his face as he grinned at her. "I never knew you royals could throw such bashes."

Aila rolled her eyes. "What were you expecting? A ball? Sorry to burst your bubble, pup, but that’s only for public appearances. This is how we really relax and party."

"So.. the women aren’t stuck up?" He whispered, hiding his mouth behind his hand, but he’d mind-linked it so nobody could hear him. Wise choice, lycan.

"Hmmm, no. But maybe new meat is exactly what they need to have a good time." She winked at him.

Harry shook his head slowly, tutting. "I can’t believe that’s how you see me. Nothing but a juicy, fine-ass piece of meat."

"Well, I didn’t exactly say it like that-"

Harry’s eyes were aglow as he continued to somehow compliment himself. Aila rolled her eyes and started to turn away, her hand on his bicep to steer him towards the hungry she-wolves from earlier.

"Come on, let me introduce you to some of them."

He might as well come in handy and have some fun in the meantime. He did deserve it. Consensually, of course.

"Of course," Malia nodded in agreement. "You better check with Harry if he gives his consent to them. I think those girls are going to jump him at the first chance they get!"

Malia was right. Aila’s lips twitched in amusement as they approached the hungry she-wolves with drinks in their hands. They narrowed their eyes slightly at Aila until they realised who she was and bared their necks, almost licking their lips at the new eye candy she was introducing them to.

Harry was a typical lad and probably acted like how Ajax used to, though the lycan’s charm was not quirky like the shapeshifter but rougher around the edges. The she-wolves giggled away, touching his biceps, slapping his chest playfully, almost drooling over him. Like she said, ’new meat’.

Aila wanted to discuss with some of the pack members about their new guests, the lycans staying with them. But it seemed they’d already adjusted to them so far. The pack were aware of the lanky beast’s importance, even though they’d fought with them before when the hunters were in charge of them. Things were slowly changing, though, and it seemed for the better.

Though, Aila didn’t want to think too much about change, especially while at a party that was meant to lighten the mood of the pack. Still, the hybrid saw a few lycans lurking nearby in their shifted forms. The curiosity in their eyes stopped them from acting dangerously, though she had not heard of them lashing out at anyone.

Maybe nice accommodation, proper food and kind smiles were what they needed, only until it was possible to help them, at least. Aila began walking towards one of them, a smile on her lips as she saw him straighten and bare his neck to her. Aldric stood off to the side of the celebrations, watching longingly at everyone. "Aldric."

"Your majesty."
