Chapter 2461: Story 2462: The Conversation Between Beginning and End
The new book opened quietly.
No thunder echoed.
No gates trembled.
No ancient prophecy awakened.
Only a single page turned.
The title shimmered softly across its cover.
The Conversation Between Beginning and End
Noah looked toward the doorway formed from black ink.
Beyond it, the Writer still waited.
His hand remained extended, offering the black pen.
Not demanding.
Inviting.

The Chronicler spoke carefully.
"Every Keeper before you refused."
The Writer nodded.
"They feared that reading my ending would erase their beginning."
He smiled faintly.
"It never would."
The Traveler stepped beside Noah.
"There is one rule."
Noah looked at him.
"If you enter the Final Chapter..."
"...you must leave your certainty behind."
The words settled over the hidden library.
The Witness quietly added,
"No record exists beyond that doorway."
"I cannot follow."
The First Listener hugged her notebook.
"Neither can stories."
The Librarian gently lowered her lantern.
"Only truth."
Noah looked once more at the silver pen resting in his hand.
Then, without hesitation, he laid it upon the Chronicler’s desk.
"I’ll return for it."
The Chronicler smiled.
"I know."
Noah stepped toward the doorway.
As he crossed its threshold, the world changed.
The hidden library disappeared.
The endless road beneath the Writer’s feet stretched farther than imagination.
It was built from countless pages joined together.
Every step rested upon words that had already been lived.
Ahead...
There was no destination.
Only another page.
The Writer began walking.
Noah followed.

For a long time, neither spoke.
The silence was comfortable.
Finally, the Writer broke it.
"Tell me, Noah."
"What frightened you most when the red sky appeared?"
Noah answered honestly.
"That everyone I loved would disappear."
The Writer nodded.
"And now?"
Noah thought about Hollow Creek.
Ashen.
The children.
The Readers.
The Guardians.
"The same."
The Writer stopped.
"But you continue."
"Yes."
"Why?"
Noah smiled quietly.
"Because they deserve another morning."
The Writer looked pleased.
"You finally understand why I exist."
Noah frowned.
"I thought you ended stories."
"I do."
The Writer knelt beside one page upon the endless road.
It showed an elderly woman peacefully closing her eyes while her family held her hands.
No monsters.
No tragedy.
Only farewell.
He gently touched the page.
"It ended."
Another page appeared beside it.
The woman’s granddaughter sat beneath a tree, reading an old journal and smiling through tears.
The Writer looked at Noah.
"And because it ended..."
"...this could begin."

The pages continued turning beneath their feet.
A seed becoming a forest.
A farewell becoming forgiveness.
A child’s question becoming a lifetime of discovery.
Every ending quietly opened another beginning.
Noah finally asked the question that had been growing within him.
"If endings create beginnings..."
"...who writes the very last ending?"
The Writer became unusually quiet.
His calm expression carried a sadness older than dreams.
"There is one page..."
"...I have never been able to write."
Far ahead, the endless road stopped.
Not broken.
Simply unfinished.
A single blank page floated in the darkness.
No words.
No title.
Nothing.
The Writer looked toward it with humble respect.
"Beyond that page..."
"...my work ends."
"And someone else’s begins."
Noah followed his gaze.
"Whose?"
The Writer slowly turned toward him.
Before he could answer, the blank page suddenly filled with warm golden light.
Not silver.
Not white.
Not black.
The light resembled the first sunrise ever witnessed.
Within it, countless voices laughed together.
Children.
Readers.
Authors.
Guardians.

Ordinary people.
Every life Noah had touched.
Every life that had touched him.
One sentence slowly appeared across the unfinished page.
Every ending becomes someone else’s beginning.
The Writer smiled.
Not with mystery.
With relief.
"I’ve been waiting for someone to read that."
The endless road stretched forward once more.
For the first time...
It no longer belonged to the Writer alone.
