Chapter 2424: Story 2425: The Eighth Light
The Eighth Light appeared.
And reality screamed.
Across the battlefield, the stars vanished completely.
Not hidden.
Not eclipsed.
Gone.
The sky became an endless abyss stretching beyond imagination.
For the first time since the beginning of existence, every throne trembled.
The First Throne.
The Second.
The Third.
The Fourth.
The Fifth.
The Sixth.
Even the mysterious Seventh Throne.
All vibrated as though reacting to a presence they had never encountered before.
Noah felt the Silver Crown grow unbearably hot.
The ancient runes across its surface spun wildly.
Trying to understand.
Trying to remember.
Yet finding nothing.
The Eighth Light had never existed in any memory.
Not even the oldest.
The child upon the Seventh Throne stared toward the distant glow.
For the first time, loneliness disappeared from its eyes.
Now there was curiosity.
And concern.
The Forgotten Creator stepped forward.
Silver fire flowed around him.
"What are you?"
No answer came.
Only silence.
The Eighth Light continued expanding.
Growing larger.
Brighter.
Nearer.
Every second it revealed more of itself.
At first it appeared to be a star.
Then a doorway.
Then something impossible.
An eye.
Not white like the Eye Beyond Creation.
Not crimson like the Devourer.
Not silver like the Creator.
A golden eye.
Ancient beyond comprehension.
Watching everything.
Watching everyone.
The Eye Beyond Creation recoiled.
Fear spread through its immense gaze.
"You..."
The single word echoed across reality.
The Ancient One froze.
The Forgotten Creator looked stunned.
Even Malthor’s black wings folded tightly against his back.
Noah stared.
"What is it?"
Nobody answered.
Because nobody knew.
The golden eye blinked.
A single tear fell from its enormous iris.
The tear crossed dimensions.
Passed through galaxies.
Fell through reality itself.
And struck the battlefield.
Silence followed.
Then life exploded outward.
Dead grass became green.
Broken mountains healed.
Destroyed forests returned.
Rivers flowed once more.
Across the wasteland, countless zombies collapsed.
The corruption left their bodies.
For a brief moment, many became human again.
They looked around in confusion.
In wonder.
In peace.
Then they vanished into silver dust.
Finally free.
Aiden watched in disbelief.
Marcus lowered his weapon.
Lena wept.
The miracle spread across the world.
The apocalypse itself began unraveling.
The Devourer roared.
Not in anger.
In terror.
The monster stepped backward.
Again.
And again.
As though trying to flee.
The Forgotten Creator narrowed his eyes.
"You fear it."
The Devourer screamed.
"Of course I fear it!"
The confession shook reality.
The destroyer of worlds was afraid.
The Eye Beyond Creation slowly lowered its gaze.
For the first time, it bowed.
A gesture of submission.
The battlefield fell silent.
Noah’s heart pounded.
The impossible had happened.
The greatest powers in existence feared the Eighth Light.
Then the golden eye finally spoke.
Its voice was gentle.
Filled with sorrow.
Filled with love.
Filled with endless age.
"My children."
Every throne glowed.
Every creator froze.
Every kingdom listened.
The voice continued.
"You have suffered long enough."
The Seventh Throne stood.
The Forgotten Creator lowered his head.
The Ancient One closed its eyes.
And Noah suddenly understood.
The Eighth Light was not another ruler.
Not another creator.
Not another destroyer.
It was something greater.
Something that had existed before creation itself.
The source from which all creators had come.
The Origin.
Then the golden eye opened fully.
And behind it, something vast began to awaken.
Something even the Origin had kept sleeping.
Something hidden beyond the beginning of existence.
And for the first time, the Origin looked afraid.
