Chapter 920: Chapter 742: Hagrid’s Request (Part 3)
"Do you think Professor Slughorn can’t tell that’s not Harry’s true level?" Hermione said impatiently, "And even Dumbledore couldn’t get it, he’s definitely determined to hide the truth, so how would he tell a student?"
"Soul Artifact... Soul Artifact... I’ve never heard of it, it must be some high-level magic. I think getting this information is very difficult, we must come up with a strategy."
"Why make it so complicated, you just overthink everything!"
"Better than you not thinking at all." Hermione was instantly furious.
"How am I not thinking..." Ron snapped back.
As the two argued, Harry stood beside them helplessly watching, clearly used to this kind of squabble.
Whenever he sought some advice, the two would start arguing because of their differing opinions.
However, the three soon noticed Kael and Conna walking toward them. Whether out of secrecy or some other reason, they tacitly changed the subject.
"Ron, this is the focus of the Potion Class homework." Hermione’s tone shifted slightly stiffly, "Remember to finish it quickly, Professor Slughorn will check it next class, you can’t lose more points for Gryffindor because of this."
"Yeah, that’s right." Ron replied just as stiffly, "But if you could lend me your homework..."
"Don’t even think about it!"
Kael listened to their conversation and shook his head slightly. He had to admit, their level of changing the subject was really not great.
Focusing on Soul Artifacts for Potion Class homework? How did they come up with that?
This wasn’t Potion Class anymore, but a supplementary class set up by Voldemort.
But to avoid making them too embarrassed, Kael didn’t expose them, pretended not to hear anything, walked over to greet them, and then turned and entered the auditorium.
"Hermione, you really didn’t have to do that." After Kael walked away, Harry whispered, "Kael knows about the Soul Artifacts too, he was also there when Dumbledore showed me that memory last time."
"What? Why didn’t you say so earlier?" Hermione gave Harry a glare, feeling that her earlier subject change was seamless, only to find out now it had become a joke.
"You didn’t give me a chance." Harry whispered.
He only noticed Kael across from them when Hermione suddenly changed the topic, where was the time to remind her?
But Harry’s explanation obviously didn’t satisfy Hermione; her face flushed, she glared at him again in annoyance.
"Wait, Harry." Ron thought of something, "Since Kael also knows about the Soul Artifacts, why don’t you ask him? He surely knows something."
"I—I can’t bring it up." Harry shook his head and whispered, "I don’t know why... When facing Kael, I always feel like I’m in front of a professor, it’s just a feeling."
"Really?" Ron blinked, "I don’t feel that way."
"Maybe it’s because I’ve seen him in the Headmaster’s Office more often." Harry thought, "You know, students rarely get to go there, right?
"But Kael has been there many times, even the previous headmasters know him."
"If that’s the case, then it’s even simpler." Ron said, "You don’t have to ask directly, just take Kael along to ask Slughorn about the Soul Artifacts, this way, the chances of success are higher."
Harry just shook his head without speaking.
Reason told him Ron was right, with Kael’s help, he probably wouldn’t have to worry about this, Kael surely has a way to get Slughorn’s real memory.
But from the bottom of his heart, he didn’t want to do that, Harry couldn’t explain why, maybe because this was the first task Dumbledore had given him, he wanted to complete it himself.
Maybe he could try Ron’s method first...
Harry thought to himself.
After the next Potion Class, just directly ask Slughorn, maybe that would work, besides that, he couldn’t think of a better idea.
