Chapter 815: Chapter 707: A Letter_2
"Professor Dumbledore?" Harry stood up, glancing sideways somewhat guiltily.
But Dumbledore, as if he hadn’t noticed his little move, simply said to himself, "However, I must remind you, Mr. Weasleys, Professor McGonagall surely wouldn’t agree to having such things brought into the school."
"Oh, really?" Fred, although unsure of what was happening, instinctively said, "Then we won’t sell them."
"Exactly." George echoed, "Such things definitely won’t be in our shop again."
"That’s great." Dumbledore chuckled, "Sirius, if possible, I’d like a glass of whiskey to warm up."
"No problem, Professor Dumbledore." Sirius nodded, "I remember there are a few bottles of aged Flaming Whiskey in the cellar."
The adults left the room one after another.
Harry patted his chest, "Do you think Professor Dumbledore noticed?"
"He definitely did." Hermione asserted, "Nothing escapes Dumbledore."
"Then why didn’t he expose us?" Ron wondered.
"Probably to avoid causing panic. Don’t forget, Sirius still has a shadow from the Dementor." Kael said, "Anyway, thanks for covering for me."
"It’s nothing, we’re friends after all." Harry said carefreely, glancing at the chest on the floor, "There’s nothing else in there, right?"
"Don’t worry, there’s definitely nothing else." Kael said, "Of course, if you’re concerned, I can get you a different one."
"No need, no need." Harry waved his hand, "As long as there’s nothing else, I’m fine. I quite like this chest."
"But Kael, I think you should tell everyone. I mean, carrying a Dementor, can you sleep at night?"
Harry thought if it were him staying in a room with a Dementor, he definitely wouldn’t be able to sleep, even with a chest in between.
"Don’t worry, it’s fine." Kael said, "It’s just for one night anyway. By tomorrow, I’ll hand it over to the Ministry of Magic."
"Alright then." Seeing that Kael had made up his mind, Harry didn’t say anything further.
"Your robe looks really nice." Hermione eyed Kael’s clothing, "Where did you buy it, Madam Malkin’s? But I didn’t see this style when I went there a few days ago."
"Oh, it’s a gift from Conna, sent from abroad." Kael explained, taking off the robe.
Once the Dementor vanished, the chill disappeared too, and Lecrota’s fur took effect, and in just a few minutes, he was sweating all over.
"No wonder." Hermione glanced at the robe again.
Harry invited Kael to stay and play Wizard Chess for a while, but Kael refused.
He had more important matters to attend to and didn’t intend to waste any more time.
Harry then invited Fred and George, but they also declined. Dumbledore’s words earlier had given them an excellent idea.
Anything memorable to even Dumbledore would surely be popular, and they decided to work overnight to replicate this Snowflake Tree thing.
...
Sirius had prepared a room for Kael also on the third floor, right next to Harry, just a few steps away.
Back in the room, Kael first carefully closed the door, then sat at the table, excitedly taking out the parchments he had kept in his pocket.
Items related to the famous wizard Merlin would make any wizard’s heart race, even though Kael had previously met the four founders of Hogwarts and had a face-to-face conversation with Rowena Ravenclaw, he couldn’t stay calm.
Though the four founders were also great wizards, no wizard would exclaim "Gryffindor’s beard" in their excitement.
To some extent, the name Merlin had become a symbol, irreplaceable by anyone.
During the meal, Kael had only glanced briefly before putting them away. Now as he took them out, he realized there were five pieces of parchment in total.
However, on the top piece of parchment, besides the line he had seen before, there was nothing else. It seemed to serve as protection, preventing the true content from being seen by others.
The bottom piece of parchment was the same.
After all, when Diana had given him these items, she had warned him that if a second person saw it, the content would vanish instantly.
Kael removed the blank parchment and carefully began to read the letter related to Merlin.
Of course, what he had in hand was not the original letter. Even the parchment was new, presumably magically copied, but that didn’t matter.
With just one glance, Kael could confirm it was a letter personally written by Merlin.
Because the true contents on the parchment were all in Ancient Runes, and it was the most complicated, original runes that hadn’t been simplified at all.
This was quite troublesome because, whether it was what Riddle taught, or Professor Babbling, or the textbook content, they all used the version simplified by Rowena Ravenclaw during the Middle Ages.
Although Merlin too was a medieval wizard, given the founding date of Hogwarts, he was at least five hundred years earlier than the four founders.
This most original form of runes was entirely different from what Kael had learned, much more complex. After a short while of looking, Kael felt his temples throbbing and began to have a headache.
