Chapter 851: Chapter 851 Oh my baby girl
Leo’s eyes swept across the place, taking in every detail. The positions of the guards. The layout of the corridor. The placement of his own men. The exits. The blind spots.
He noticed something.
The guards were coming from two main directions. The stairwell at the far end of the corridor and a side hallway that branched off to the left. They were funneling his men into a kill zone, surrounding them from both sides.
But there was a weakness.
The side hallway was narrow, only wide enough for two guards to stand side by side. If he could block that entrance, he could force the guards to come through the main corridor, where his men could pick them off one by one.
His eyes darted to the nearest supply closet. The door was slightly ajar, and inside, he could see a stack of heavy metal shelves.
He signaled to two of his men.
"You two. Block that side hallway. Use the shelves from the closet. Make it quick."
They nodded and moved immediately, their movements silent and efficient.
Leo turned to the rest of his men. His voice was low, sharp and full of authority.
"Fall back to the main corridor. Form a defensive line. We will hold them there."
His men obeyed without hesitation, their training taking over. They pulled back, their weapons raised, their eyes scanning for threats.
The guards surged forward, emboldened by the retreat.
But they did not expect what came next.
The moment they entered the main corridor, Leo’s men opened fire. The guards fell in quick succession, their bodies falling to the floor.
The survivors hesitated. They had been expecting a rout, not a counterattack. The sudden shift in momentum caught them off guard.
Leo did not give them time to recover.
"Move! Push forward!"
His men advanced, their weapons blazing. The guards scrambled backward, trying to regroup but it was too late. Leo had already seized control.
But then—
Another batch of Pablo’s men appeared at the other far end of the corridor. More of them. Dozens. Their footsteps thundered against the concrete like a stampede.
One of Leo’s men couldn’t help but curse under his breath. "That f*cker is sending people like they’re zombies!"
Another nodded grimly. "They just keep coming. How many men power does he have?"
Leo’s jaw tightened. He raised his weapon and fired.
The first guard dropped. The second.. The third...but more kept coming, pouring through the doorway like water through a broken dam.
Leo’s men formed a defensive line, their weapons blazing, their faces grim. The corridor echoed with the roar of gunfire, the screams of the wounded, the heavy thud of bodies hitting the floor.
"This isn’t sustainable!" one of his men shouted, ducking behind cover. "We can’t keep this up!"
Leo’s eyes flashed.
He knew he couldn’t keep fighting like this. He needed to break through. He needed to reach Bella.

Meanwhile...
Pablo knelt beside the unconscious girl, his fingers trailing through her brown hair with a tenderness that made Clara’s stomach churn. His touch was slow as if he were caressing something sacred rather than a woman he had just drugged and kidnapped.
"You look pretty," he murmured, his voice soft and almost loving. "I understand why he’s obsessed with you, baby girl. I understand completely."
Clara stood frozen behind him, her hands clasped so tightly together that her knuckles had turned white, her heart pounded against her ribs.
She wanted to reach out. She wanted to stop him. She wanted to scream.
But her feet wouldn’t move. Her voice wouldn’t work.
The way he looked at Bella—it wasn’t just obsession. It was something darker. Something that made Clara’s blood run cold. His eyes had taken on a glazed, hungry quality that she had never seen before, even in all his years of madness.
"Lina chose the perfect daughter," he continued, stroking Bella’s hair with unsettling affection. "Oh, my baby girl. My perfect little girl."
Oh my baby girl.
Oh my baby girl.
The words seeped into Bella’s subconscious like poison, a sickening lullaby that pulled her toward consciousness. They reminded her of her uncle.
Her skin crawled with revulsion.
Who was touching her? Who was stroking her face like she was a possession?
Pablo took out his gun, the metal gleaming under the dim light. He nuzzled the barrel against her delicate nose, tracing the bridge, the tip, the curve of her nostril. His movements were slow as if he were savoring the moment.
"No!" Clara cried, her voice breaking. "Please, Pablo, don’t—"
Pablo’s head snapped toward her. His eyes burned with cold anger, the tenderness gone in an instant.
"I am doing that!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "You’re no one to tell me! You don’t even handle your own men, and you made me fatherless! Your job was barely enough to feed me! Do you know what that was like? Do you know what it felt like to be the poor boy with the worthless mother? To have everyone laugh at me? To have no one respect me?"
He grabbed Bella and lifted her, placing her on a chair. His movements were rough, careless, as if she were nothing more than a doll.
"Please don’t do that!" Clara sobbed, reaching toward him.
Pablo ignored her. He walked outside, his phone pressed to his ear, his voice sharp and cold.
"Retreat when I tell you!" he barked into the phone. "Do not move until I give the order!"
His footsteps faded down the hallway.
Bella opened her eyes.
Her gaze was no longer childish, gentle or sweet. It was dark, sharp, filled with a dangerous light that hadn’t been there before. The innocence that had defined her for so long had vanished, replaced by coldness.
Clara knelt beside her, her hands clasped together, tears streaming down her wrinkled cheeks.
"I’m sorry... I’m so sorry..." she sobbed, her voice broken and raw. "I don’t want to give you medicine and make you lose your mind, but..." She hugged Bella on the chair, her body shaking with grief. "I had grown to like you... You were always so kind to me... You smiled at me when no one else did. You trusted me... I didn’t have the heart to do anything with you."
But because of Pablo, she had mixed hallucinations and super potent medication into Bella’s system.
