Chapter 2028: Chapter 580: Mrs. Mu Has Been Led Astray (Part 4)
"Alright, alright! It’s not like we don’t know what our own kid is like!"
Mu Zihao hurriedly raised his hand and pressed down on Feng Fanghua’s shoulder, gently reminding her not to butt heads with Mu Yichen. It was true that Mu Qingxin had always been playful; now that she finally had someone to hang out with when she came back, of course she was having even more fun, still as unwilling to stay home as before.
It was just that before Qin Mu appeared, she played outside by herself. Now that Qin Mu was here, she dragged Qin Mu out to play. Mu Zihao actually felt that things were pretty good after having one more daughter-in-law at home; with Mu Qingxin and Qin Mu together, he felt a bit more at ease.
As a father, he would never easily scold or nag his daughter, but every time something happened to Mu Qingxin, he was actually scared to death inside.
"Back when you two were young, you were out socializing all day long. When you were busy, you’d only come home at midnight. Did I ever say anything about you?"
The old man had almost finished eating. He put down his chopsticks and looked at his daughter-in-law as he asked.
Feng Fanghua...
"Dad, just let the past stay in the past!"
Afraid that Feng Fanghua would get upset, Mu Zihao suppressed his tone and spoke to his father again.
"Hmph! So what if I bring it up? It’s not like it’s anything shameful!"
The old man refused to back down.
Mu Zihao immediately shut his mouth, afraid that his father would say something even more unpleasant.
Feng Fanghua was so scared she didn’t even dare take a full breath.
Mu Yichen, however, let out a deep hum, then picked up his phone and sent Qin Mu a WeChat message.
Qin Mu had sent him a picture, just a single photo.
Mu Yichen suddenly pushed himself up from his chair and stood, face cold as he strode out.
"Hey! This brat... Mu Yichen, you’re not eating dinner anymore?"
Seeing him leave in such a hurry, Feng Fanghua quickly asked.
Eat?
How was he supposed to eat?
Three women in a nightclub, two going crazy in the dance floor, what was his wife doing?
The thought that Qin Mu might have been dragged into dancing made it feel like a sword had been planted upright in Mu Yichen’s chest, its edge razor-sharp, as if the moment it was unsheathed, whoever was stabbed would die without a doubt.
Qin Mu was leaning on the side watching. She’d always been on the rigid side and rarely came to places like this. On the few occasions she did, she was just a prop.
Tonight was the same. She lay dejectedly over the table, watching the women in the dance floor dancing their hearts out.
She hadn’t expected that even after having kids, the two of them were still this wild. Qin Mu felt like she was out of step with them.
Colorful lights swept across the place, sometimes falling on a certain spot, sometimes reflecting off the glass in front of her. Qin Mu’s clear, bright eyes stared through the transparent liquid in the crystal glass, and in a daze she saw a dreamlike, gorgeous world.
Qin Mingzhu and Mu Qingxin twisted their tiny waists while glancing at Qin Mu, who was lying there like an idiot. Mu Qingxin said, "Hey! We don’t know that woman, right?"
"Don’t know her! She’s so stiff, like a wooden post. How could she possibly be the same type as us?"
Qin Mingzhu shook her head and kept swaying her slim waist as she leaned close to whisper with Mu Qingxin.
"I figured as much! What’s wrong with that woman? Coming out to have fun and still not letting herself go."
The more Mu Qingxin looked at Qin Mu, the more awkward she felt. The two of them were so hyped, while Qin Mu was lying there alone like some underage kid fiddling with her wine glass. Was there some colorful world inside the glass?
She didn’t know that Qin Mu really was seeing a mysterious, dazzling world inside that wine glass.
"Let’s go drag her up here. We can’t let her sit there acting all special and different."
The more Mu Qingxin thought about it, the more wrong it felt. She couldn’t shake this faint guilt in her heart and felt it would be better if they did everything together.
"Sure! Let’s go drag her over!"
Qin Mingzhu lifted her brows at her, and the two of them squeezed sideways out of the crowd together. After finally making it out, they went straight over to Qin Mu.
Mu Qingxin directly threw an arm over Qin Mu’s shoulder. "Little beauty, come dance with your big sisters!"
"Yeah! Let’s go have some real fun together!"
Qin Mingzhu tossed her a flirty look, and the two of them each grabbed one of her hands, pulling her inside. Qin Mu had been spacing out, and by the time she came back to herself, she was already standing in the middle of the dance floor.
Up on stage, the DJ had switched to an even hotter track. The people on the dance floor instantly went wild. Qin Mingzhu and Mu Qingxin kept striking seductive poses around her...
Mu Yichen pulled his car up right in front of their club, stopped, and strode inside in big steps. The handsome guy on reception at the door was startled; from the look of him, he seemed like he was here to make trouble. He immediately leaned over to whisper something to another handsome coworker beside him, and that guy took off running inside.
Not long after, that guy reached the boss upstairs and bent down to whisper in his ear.
After listening, the boss narrowed his eyes and looked down toward the first floor, searching for the man his employee had described.
The troublemaker the boss didn’t see, but instead he suddenly spotted Mu Yichen and muttered in confusion, "What is Mu Yichen doing in our place?"
Mu Yichen was wearing a light gray coat tonight. Standing among the men and women on the first floor, he swept his gaze around. In his pitch-black eyes was a killing intent that warned others to stay away.
A few tall staff members had already rushed into the first floor and were also searching for Mu Yichen’s figure.
Xiang Hang had originally been standing alone in a corner, drinking in sulky silence. But when he looked up and suddenly noticed that the extra staff at the entrance were all staring inside, he instinctively worried about Qin Mu. He glanced toward the table where Qin Mu had just been sitting, then straightened up in alarm. His fingers tightened around the wine glass, and his tense, cold eyes swept across the room.
