Chapter 1947: Chapter 559: A Sudden Surprise
Qin Mu always feels that everyone is acting strangely, but can’t figure out why. She suddenly stops on the steps, turning around anxiously.
"Oh right! I already had coffee at the fashion store, so you don’t need to make me any more."
"Oh!"
Xiaomei agrees obediently, but her big, round eyes always seem to be hiding something.
Qin Mu feels a bit disappointed, hoping Xiaomei might tell her something. However, she trusts Xiaomei’s inability to hold secrets, believing she’ll definitely come to talk soon.
Qin Mu carries her puzzled thoughts into the office, closing the door behind her, and as she turns around...
A long body is lying on the sofa, with a newspaper covering the face.
"Mu Yichen?"
Qin Mu calls out as she walks over.
Others might not recognize him at first glance, but Qin Mu certainly can — just by his physique, or even just his aura, she can recognize him.
Qin Mu sits at the edge of the sofa, removing the newspaper from his face.
Up till now, there are no other sounds in the office, and Qin Mu looks at him inexplicably after getting up.
Mu Yichen slowly opens his eyes, smiling as he asks her: "I heard the sound of your heartbeat, thump thump thump, so strong!"

He reaches out, wanting to touch her heart.
Qin Mu instinctively looks down at her chest and then raises her hand to swat away his hand.
The office echoes with a crisp sound, and she softly asks: "Why are you here?"
"Didn’t I say this morning I’d come to find you after I finished work? By the way, why did you come back so late?"
"Didn’t you know? I had lunch with Hang and Sister Li, and then had coffee at the store. If you had called, I would have returned earlier!"
Blame yourself for not notifying me!
Qin Mu holds back a laugh, speaking to him so earnestly.
Mu Yichen’s dark eyes see through her thoughts at a glance.
"I think if I called, it would be even less likely I’d have been able to wait for you!"
Like when he said he’d go to the beauty salon to find her, and she didn’t go. If he said he’d wait here...
Mu Yichen sighs lightly in resignation, knowing Mu Tai Tai all too well.
Qin Mu can’t help but chuckle: "I found something interesting. Hang and Sister Li seem like a couple who’ve lived together for many years."
"Hmm?"
Mu Yichen furrows his brow, suddenly remembering his bodyguard is dating her store manager.
"Looks like they are developing well?"
Mu Yichen asks, reaching to hold her hand.
"I think it’s probably okay. Mainly, they both seem satisfied with their current way of interacting."
Qin Mu thinks and speaks simultaneously.
"You care so much about others’ affairs, yet you don’t care about your husband."
"Don’t care? I was so jealous this morning my eyes were swollen from crying, and now you say I don’t care about you?"
Qin Mu looks at him with an expression that says she’s been wrongly accused.
Mu Yichen then sat up, saying: "I want to nap."
"I need to draw; you can sleep here!"
"Hmm, no! I want to sleep in the bed with you!"
"How old are you?"
Qin Mu looks at him with doubt.
"Out of pity for me?"
"Get lost!"
Qin Mu gives him a push, planning to work but suddenly turns around: "Didn’t you want to nap? Let’s go!"
Afraid you can’t lie down later.
Qin Mu remembers the last time she made a mess on the bed and really doesn’t believe Mu Yichen can lie down there; he truly has cleanliness issues.
Mu Yichen doesn’t know why she’s suddenly willing to go sleep with him, until she opens that room. Mu Yichen stands at the door looking inside, then furrows his brow.
"Didn’t you want to nap?"
Qin Mu asks him as he stands there unmoving.
Mu Yichen looks at her, then smiles: "Wait outside for ten minutes!"
Qin Mu looks at him uncomprehendingly, then is pushed out, with Mu Yichen closing the door, turning on the air conditioning’s dusting function, and then getting to work.
Qin Mu anxiously waits outside, and when she tries to open the door discovers it’s locked, furrowing her brows: "What’s this guy doing?"
As she’s muttering, Xiaomei runs upstairs from below, trying to sneak a peek but is caught by Qin Mu first, who laughs: "Yanzi sent me up to ask if you need any tea or anything."
"No need! Mu is resting!"
Qin Mu immediately responds, though her eyes say, using Yanzi as an excuse, I still don’t know why you’re up here? If I wasn’t standing outside, in two minutes Yanzi would come up to watch the show too.
