Chapter 213: Chapter 193: Mortal Slays God! Your God Is My EXP Pack

As soon as the fleshy tentacles touched the Sword Aura, they dissolved without a sound.

Not even a wisp of smoke rose from them.

The Innate Sword Body’s natural advantage against such corrupt energy was on full display.

Han Feng endured the shockwave, one powerful enough to warp steel. His skin tore apart inch by inch, erupting in a spray of blood.

But he paid it no mind, advancing on Li Wei step by step.

With every step forward, he unleashed an invisible Heart Sword.

The sea of his Divine Sense churned violently. Each time he unleashed a Heart Sword, it felt like tearing a piece from his own soul and casting it into a fire.

He was putting his life on the line.

’A contest of ruthlessness?’

’Han Feng had never backed down from anyone.’

"You lunatic!!"

Li Wei was finally afraid.

He could clearly feel his Divine Thought, the one possessing this body, being weakened and severed strand by strand.

The tearing sensation, which stemmed from the very source of his soul, was agonizing.

"Blood Sea! Help me!"

Li Wei roared, trying to call upon the power of the giant eye in the sky.

But he forgot that the exalted Will had descended to feast on sacrifices, not to clean up a servant’s mess.

The giant eye in the sky remained indifferent, utterly uninterested in the ants squabbling on the ground below.

It was only interested in the "food" that emanated pure Soul Power.

"It may ignore you, but I won’t."

A cold voice rang in Li Wei’s ears. Han Feng had already closed to within two meters.

The Black Tungsten Gold Longsword in his hand glowed bright red from the overload of Sword Essence, emitting a pained, sorrowful hum.

"Strike!"

Gripping the sword with both hands, Han Feng poured every last bit of his Sword Essence into this final blow, along with the life of the longsword that had accompanied him for so long.

An impossibly brilliant flash of silver light tore through the gloom of Ping’an County.

CRACK!

The protective blood-light in front of Li Wei shattered instantly.

The sword struck true, landing squarely on the dark purple "Holy Infant" crystal embedded in his chest.

"No—!!"

Li Wei let out a desperate shriek.

But the shriek was a bizarre mixture of two completely different voices.

One was the sharp, sinister voice of the Blood-Feeding Cultist.

The other, however, was filled with extreme terror, bewilderment, and even a twisted hint of relief.

BOOM!

A violent explosion sent both of them flying.

Han Feng slammed hard into the ruins of a shop. A sweet, coppery taste filled his throat, and he spat out a mouthful of black blood laced with organ fragments.

He looked down to see only half the hilt of his longsword remaining in his hand. His entire right arm was a mangled, bloody mess, and he had almost no feeling in it.

Li Wei fared even worse.

He fell like a kite with a cut string, crashing into the middle of the street.

The crystal on his chest hadn’t completely shattered, but a deep fissure now ran through it.

Most of the bizarre tendrils that had been embedded in his flesh were now severed.

"Cough... cough cough..."

Li Wei lay on the ground, his body convulsing violently. A bizarre, shifting expression played across his face.

The left half of his face was twisted in a savage snarl, its eye glaring at Han Feng with venomous hatred.

"You ruined everything... ruined everything..."

But the right half of his face was streaked with tears, its eye filled with endless terror and confusion.

"It hurts... It hurts so much... I want to go home..."

Han Feng struggled to his feet, climbing out of the rubble. He grabbed a mostly intact brick—the only "weapon" he could find.

"Looks like the original owner of this body has woken up."

Han Feng staggered over, his eyes as cold as ice.

Li Wei’s body twisted into a grotesque position on the ground as the two souls fought a brutal battle for control of the ruined vessel.

"Useless trash! Go back to sleep!"

The sinister voice roared.

"No... I won’t! You’re a demon! You’re the one who destroyed my life!"

The young man’s voice suddenly turned shrill, filled with a bone-deep hatred.

"You killed Sun Hao! You’re the one who turned me into a monster!"

It was the real Li Wei—the once-hypocritical and arrogant young man from the Inner City, who was now filled with nothing but regret.

"Shut up! Without me, you’re just trash that people walk all over!"

"That’s still better than being a soulless ghost!"

The real Li Wei seemed to have been pushed to his limit. In the face of death, the mettle and ferocity befitting a Martial Artist finally erupted from within him.

"I’m going to die anyway... but I’m not letting you get off easy!"

He suddenly raised his hand, not to attack Han Feng, but to dig his fingers with all his might into the crystal on his chest that was frantically feeding on his blood. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Han... Han Feng!"

Li Wei’s head was tilted at an angle. His right eye—his own eye—was fixed on Han Feng, bulging and shot through with blood.

"Kill me... Quick!"

For the first time, the sinister voice betrayed a genuine panic.

"Stop! Are you insane? Your very soul will be shattered!"

"I’m already dead either way!"

The real Li Wei gave a tragic smile, bloody foam mixed with bits of his organs bubbling from his mouth.

"You bastards from the Blood Feeding Sect... you tricked me... you promised a Tier Three Spirit Awakening Potion... Was this what you meant? Turning me into this monster?"

His fingers dug deep into his flesh as he endured the excruciating agony in his Divine Soul to forcibly slow the crystal’s self-repair.

"Han Feng! Kill me, now!"

Li Wei’s body trembled violently. Suppressing the powerful, foreign Divine Thought was causing him unimaginable pain.

"This thing... it’s alive! It’s about to wake up!"

Li Wei pointed at the crystal on his chest, his words coming out in a stunningly fast torrent.

"You heavily wounded that bastard’s Divine Thought... Right now, only I can suppress its instincts, and only for a moment... I’ll buy you ten seconds!"

Han Feng watched him, his brow furrowed slightly.

"Just do it. I don’t want to die like this."

Li Wei spat out a mouthful of blood, a smile uglier than a sob twisting his lips.

"I want them dead! I want the Blood Feeding Sect’s mission to be a complete failure! I want to make those bastards’ efforts come to nothing!"
