Chapter 18: Love you too, sweetheart
"Um... were we really together? How did that even happen in the future?"
"My, my, curious aren’t you?" Elizabeth teased.
"Of course, it’s related to me; or forget it. Say something, her"
"Well, you want to make her cry again."
"No, I don’t." Loid looked at Lulica; her tears disappeared as soon as he said he believed her.
"Why not go and kill that transmigrator first; other things we can sort out slowly," Elizabeth suggested.
Loid again glanced at the silver-haired woman, casually sitting on the bed, unbothered by the fact that she was suggesting to kill someone.
Loid didn’t know what to do here; why would he kill a person just because it benefits him?
Elizabeth sighed. " Listen, he took over someone else’s body, so he won’t even mind if you kill him; you’re just freeing him. Think how you would feel if you got trapped in someone else’s body?"
"Weird, probably disgusting, I don’t know..but why would I free him? I don’t care. If it’s really bothering him, he can kill himself, and I don’t think a transmigrator ever wants to die, especially since he had something so fancy called a Harem system"
"What a harem system?" Lalica asked innocently.
" It’s a dessert shop."
"Dessert shop, huh!" Elizabeth teased. "Sweetie, Isn’t your mind working in a naughty way"
"No! I-i... what type of power would I get by killing that guy?" Getting caught, Loid changed the topic to save himself from more embarrassment.
"That’s a secret." Elizabeth chuckled.
Lady, you are as suspicious as hell. Loid said in his mind.
Lalica was just watching them, annoyed. Aren’t they showing good chemistry, unbothered by her presence?
"Alright, how about you go meet the guests," Elizabeth said.
"Why would I?"
"Seriously, you’re not going to do anything I told you, right?"
"Nothing like that, it’s just..."
"It’s just that I’m not giving you a strong and bigger reason to kill, right?"
Loid turned silent for a moment. "I guess," he muttered. " Alright, I will meet them."
He turned and left the room. He wanted to ask who got other abilities or if anyone got it. But he would ask later. Why did things turn so complicated!.
He ignored the ladies who were eavesdropping; he walked past them. He didn’t care if they heard their talk, since Elizabeth already knows they’re listening. After all, she knows the future, and if she let them listen, that means she knows it won’t create a problem. Right?
"What happened, Young Man?’’
Loid looked at Alice’s father. Seriously, old man, they leave you alone on dinning table; don’t you want an eavesdrop on our conversation? It’s a woman’s habit, I guess.
"Nothing, uncle." He said and mumbled. "Just thinking with dick’’
"Hahaha, it’s normal for your age. It just means you’re healthy’’
Now healthiness is making me sick. Loid Thought.
"Anyway, I attend to guests," he said and walked toward the door, but how would he open it?
Mira came behind him "Change your clothes it cold outside, remember.’’
"Oh, Thanks, reminding me." He said with a smile; from her face, he could tell she wanted to ask something but decided not to ask.
He walked toward his room.
Mira looked at his back, biting her lower lip.
—--
Back in the room.
"Aunt Elizabeth, what you said was it really true?"
"Well, you already know, Lalica dear, so why ask?
"How did you convince me to share him, I..."
"Just read my mind"
Lalica just looked at her for a moment and did as she said. She closed her eyes, took a long breath; her hand trembled a little, then her sharp dark eyes looked into Elizabeth’s calm blue ones. And Lalica’s eyes fluttered a little.
"No, I’m not letting him get that..."
"Are you sure? Without it, he won’t survive in the future, neither will we.’’
"I-I will find some other way.."
"It’s not that hard, or maybe it was. He was happy; we are happy. We need each other. We’re strongest together. I know it’s hard, Lalica, but believe you won’t regret it. We would be just a big happy family.’’ Elizabeth walked to her and placed her hand on her shoulder.
"I-I will be the first wife"
"Sure, big sister.’’ Elizabeth laughed.
"Tsk, aunt, you were annoying"
The white-haired head, which was peeping, trying to make sense of the whole drama, finally walked into the room.
"Mum, I always knew you were a pervert eyeing such a young man. That saying suits you, you old cow, want to eat young grass, and isn’t that guy too lucky? How can he have you and me and you together? I won’t believe it. You had to be lying!."
Elizabeth looked at her daughter and chuckled.
"Don’t want to believe then don’t, sweetheart; right now no one’s asking you to believe it." She said, crossing her arms under her chest’
"Mum, I hate you!"
"Hahaha, I love you too, sweetheart. "
