Chapter 196: Spray Them With Money!

Mio glared at her, refusing to answer.

"He’s just so cute," the green-haired woman sighed with her violet eyes glazing over with sudden lust.

She licked her lips with her fangs briefly flashing. "And the power he showed during that Mid-term? Delicious. Oh, my White King~ I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on him... I’m going to seduce him until he forgets his own name."

"You don’t have permission to touch him," Mio gritted out through the lingering paralysis with her possessive instincts flaring violently despite her helplessness.

"Oh, but I do!" the woman laughed brightly.

She casually reached a hand down into the deep valley of her own cleavage, rummaging around for a second before pulling out a folded piece of official stock paper.

She flicked it open and held it right in front of Mio’s face.

It was an official decree, stamped with the unmistakable, magically-bound wax seal of Amagi Hakai... the Boss of the Order.

"You see this?" the woman smirked, pointing at the elegant handwriting. "This is a permit directly from Boss Hakai herself. It explicitly states that she wants me to be bred by Koya as well! We’re operating on a corporate mandate here, little girl. We are going to birth the next generation of the Order’s elite forces! My genes combined with Koya’s? Our children are going to conquer the world!"

Mio stared at the permit in disbelief.

Hakai was actually recruiting all the operatives into the harem purely for breeding?

’I’m honestly not even surprised.’ Mio and Pale thought at the same time.

The green-haired woman folded the permit and tucked it back into her cleavage with a satisfied hum.

She looked back down at Mio’s exposed naked chest with her violet eyes tracing the modest athletic curves of the swordswoman.

"Besides, shouldn’t you be on your knees thanking me right now?" the woman teased, placing a hand on her hip. "I’m the one who figured out your Head’s nasty little seal and set your mana free. You’re welcome, by the way."

She leaned down again, poking Mio’s bare stomach right where the seal used to be.

"Also..." the woman grinned maliciously, glancing from her own massive chest down to Mio’s. "Your breasts are quite small, aren’t they, Mio? Koya seems to like them a bit meatier. Do you want me to recommend a good magic-surgeon? I know a guy in the inner city who does phenomenal augmentation work."

Mio stared up at the overwhelmingly powerful and utterly insane woman who held the title of Order No. 1.

She gathered the absolute last dregs of her physical strength, fighting through the paralyzing numbness in her arm.

Slowly and painfully, Mio raised her right hand off the grass.

She curled her fingers inward, leaving only the middle one extended, and shoved it directly into the green-haired woman’s smiling face.

"Fuck you bitch..."

The woman just threw her head back and laughed, the sound echoing merrily across the silver-lit clearing.

...

Several hours later, the atmosphere in Isle Supercity was entirely different.

Unlike the ruined apocalyptic wastelands of the Outer Zone, the inner commercial districts of Isle Supercity were a marvel of modern, neon-lit perfection.

Towering skyscrapers covered in holographic advertisements reached into the night sky, while pristine, multi-lane highways elevated above the pedestrian levels carried a steady stream of high-speed traffic.

Cruising down one of these neon-drenched highways was a car that commanded immediate attention.

It was a custom-built sleek black Supercar.

It looked like a stealth fighter jet that had been retrofitted for the streets, hovering inches above the asphalt on anti-grav repulsors that purred with a low menacing hum.

The vehicle practically screamed untouchable wealth.

Sitting in the driver’s seat, casually gripping the steering wheel with one hand, was Koya.

However, anyone looking through the tinted windows wouldn’t recognize the famous Class 5 representative.

Koya was in full disguise.

His signature blonde hair had been magically altered to a striking luminescent silver that fell gracefully around his ears.

His eyes, normally a mix of purple and his crest colors, were now burning with a brilliant unmistakable crimson without any crest visible.

He wore a sharply tailored, expensive black suit with the collar open, giving him the appearance of an incredibly wealthy and dangerously handsome young noble from another Supercity.

Sitting in the passenger seat next to him was Mable.

She was also in disguise, matching her father perfectly. Her hair was the same striking silver, and her large innocent eyes glowed crimson.

She wore a frilly, high-end designer dress in dark gothic lolita style, looking every bit the pampered terrifyingly wealthy aristocratic heir.

"Papa, look! The lights are so pretty!" Mable cheered, pressing her small hands against the passenger window and staring out at the holographic billboards passing by.

"They are pretty..." Koya agreed, keeping his eyes on the road.

Suddenly, a flashing array of red and blue lights illuminated the rearview mirror.

A sleek heavily armored hover-bike belonging to the Isle Police Department (IPD) pulled up alongside the Supercar.

The officer riding it, clad in standard-issue tactical armor and a full-face helmet, gestured firmly with one hand, signaling for Koya to pull over to the emergency lane.

Koya let out a slow irritated sigh.

He didn’t speed.

He hadn’t violated any traffic laws.

He was driving perfectly within the designated limits. The only reason the IPD officer was pulling him over was because a car this expensive, driving through this particular sector at this hour, was an anomaly that demanded a "random" security check.

Or, more likely, a subtle shakedown for a bribe...

’Hakai did talk about something like this.’

Koya smoothly guided the Supercar to the side of the highway and brought it to a hovering halt.

He tapped a button on the console, and the driver-side window rolled down with a soft hiss.

The IPD officer parked his bike, unclipped his helmet, and walked over to the window with a swaggering stride.

He was a burly man with a thick mustache and a smug expression.

"Evening, sir," the officer said, leaning slightly into the window space. "License and registration, please. And I’ll need to know your business in this sect—"

The officer’s words died in his throat.

He looked into the car. He saw the silver hair and then, he made direct eye contact with Koya’s glowing crimson eyes.

Koya didn’t say a word.

He just stared at the man.

He didn’t even need to flare his newly acquired Vampire King aura either... the intensity of his gaze, amplified by his absolute annoyance at being interrupted was suffocating.

It felt like looking into the eyes of a hungry predator that was currently debating whether the prey was worth the effort of chewing.

The IPD officer went completely rigid.

All the color drained from his face, leaving him a sickly ashen gray.

His smug swagger evaporated instantly, replaced by a sudden intense desire to be literally anywhere else on the planet.

"What seems to be the issue, Officer?" Koya asked.

His voice was calm and smooth as silk, but it carried an underlying edge of danger that made the hairs on the back of the man’s neck stand straight up.

Mable leaned over the center console, waving happily at the terrified policeman.

"Hi mister!"

"N-nothing, sir!" the officer stammered frantically, taking a hasty step backward from the vehicle and holding both his hands up in a placating gesture. "My apologies, sir! Complete misunderstanding! You... you were just moving a bit too fast for the sector limits. Just a routine check!"

Koya’s crimson eyes narrowed a fraction of an inch. "Is that so?"

"Y-yes, sir!" the man squeaked, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

He bowed deeply, practically bending in half. "You can drive at whatever speed you deem necessary, sir! As long as you don’t cause a crash, the roads are yours! Please, have a wonderful evening!"

Koya didn’t say anything for a long moment, letting the silence stretch and the man’s panic cook.

Then, Koya reached into the inner breast pocket of his tailored suit jacket. He pulled out a thick, heavy, physical bearer-bond note.

The watermark in the corner clearly displayed the denomination: 500,000 crowns.

A sum of money that would take an average IPD officer a decade to earn.

Without breaking eye contact, Koya casually flicked his wrist, throwing the incredibly valuable bill directly into the officer’s sweating face.

The heavy paper slapped against the man’s cheek and fluttered down toward the asphalt.

"Take it," Koya commanded softly, his tone completely dismissive. "And get your poor self out of my sights. Before you ruin my mood..."

The officer didn’t hesitate. He didn’t care about his pride, and he certainly didn’t care about the insult.

He threw himself onto his knees, frantically snatching the 500,000 crowns bill off the dirty asphalt with his hands trembling in adrenaline and greed.

"Th-thank you, sir! Bless you, sir! I am leaving immediately, sir!" the man stuttered, bowing his head to the ground repeatedly.

Koya didn’t even acknowledge him. He simply rolled the window back up, shifted the Supercar into gear, and slammed his foot down on the accelerator.

VROOM!

The anti-grav repulsors shrieked as the massive black vehicle shot forward like a cannonball, leaving the kneeling half-a-million-crowns-rich police officer in a cloud of swirling dust and exhaust.

Inside the quiet soundproofed cabin of the car, Koya let his terrifying persona drop instantly.

He slumped back against the plush leather seat and rubbed the bridge of his nose, letting out a long exasperated sigh.

’Is this really how billionaires act?’ Koya thought, fighting the urge to cringe at his own performance. ’Why the hell did Hakai insist that I have to literally slap anyone who stops me in the face with absurd amounts of money? It’s so unnecessarily arrogant.’

"Papa," Mable complained from the passenger seat, crossing her small arms and pouting. "Mama Hakai said you were supposed to use the one-million royal bills to slap the peasants! You only used a five-hundred thousand one! You’re going off script!"

Koya glanced over at his daughter, thoroughly bewildered by her casual use of the word ’peasants’.

"Mable, be reasonable. We don’t have that kind of money to just throw away at random traffic cops. Five hundred thousand was already insane."

Mable sighed dramatically, shaking her silver head as if dealing with a particularly slow child.

She unbuckled her seatbelt, turned around, and reached toward the small, sleek compartment built into the rear of the center console.

She pressed her small thumb against a biometric scanner.

Click! Hiss!

The compartment slid open.

It wasn’t a normal glove box. It was a spatial vault, magically expanded on the inside to hold dimensions far larger than the car itself.

Mable reached in and pulled out a stack of bearer-bonds bound in gold wire. She tossed it onto Koya’s lap.

Then she reached in and pulled out another stack... and another... and another...

Within seconds, the passenger seat was covered in stacks of high-denomination crowns.

"Papa," Mable said seriously, gesturing to the literal mountain of wealth. "Mama Hakai loaded the vault before we left. There are exactly one billion crowns inside this car right now. So yes, we do have the money. Please stop being cheap and do exactly as Mama asked so we don’t ruin the mission."

Koya stared at the mountain of cash on his lap, completely speechless.

He was driving around with a billion crowns in the trunk.

His ’First Wife’ had casually handed him the GDP of a small lesser city just to use as throwing weapons against mild inconveniences.

The scale of Hakai’s wealth and influence was terrifying.

Koya let out another, even deeper sigh, sweeping the stacks of cash off his lap and back into the console vault.

’What is this ridiculous mission anyway?’ Koya thought, staring out at the neon-lit highway rushing past them. ’Hakai said we needed to get the attention of the Isle City Mafia to steal some incredibly valuable artifact but driving around slapping cops with money isn’t exactly stealthy.’

He tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

’It’s not like the Mafia bosses are just going to politely come meet us in our hotel room and hand over their treasures because we’re rich.’

The Supercar sped onward into the heart of the city, carrying the disguised Vampire King and his dragon daughter straight into the criminal underworld.

’...Right?’
