Chapter 137: Chapter 137 Important one
Otherwise, with the way he’d worn her out last night, most women wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Now that they were on the same page about this, the rest will be much easier to discuss. “There’s a fourth point, and it’s the most important one.”
“What is it?”
Alana said, “It’s this: while we’re dating, you must remain faithful to me. I’m the only woman in your life, no one else is allowed.”
After all, she had experienced this before.
If a man were to leave her for another woman again, she didn’t know how she was going to survive that.
Stephan agreed immediately, “Alright, I agree.”
This was simply what a man should do; he knew what to do without her having to say it.
Alana nodded. “I’ve finished stating my four conditions. To be fair, I’ll let you make four requests as well. So, what do you want?”
“I just want you to move in with me.”
She felt a bit exasperated. “Can we try another one?”
The man insisted. “That’s the one.”
Alana bit her lip, feeling too embarrassed to refuse again. After all, he had agreed to
all three of her requests.
He’d only made one request; she couldn’t keep turning him down.
“You...fine! Let me think about it.”
Stephan curved his lips. “Alright.”
Alana hesitated for a moment, then couldn’t help but ask, “Is that really it? You don’t have any other requests?”
“That’s it for now. I’ll bring up more when I think of them.”
This was suspicious.
What was going on?
Was there a catch she doesn’t know about?!
Never mind. It was almost time for work, so she shouldn’t keep dragging this out.
So she spoke up, “Um, it’s getting late. I have to go to work.”
Stephan offered proactively, “I’ll drive you to the office.”
Alana nodded. “Okay, the usual spot. Just don’t park too close to the office.”
He frowned.
They were already boyfriend and girlfriend now, why was she still being so secretive? Shouldn’t she let him drive her right up to the company entrance, basking in the envious glances of her colleagues?
Or maybe she should just kiss him in front of her coworkers, tell everyone she was taken.
He emphasized, “Alana, I’m your boyfriend now.”
Alana blinked, looking adorably clueless. “I know that. So what?”
After a long moment, he gritted his teeth. “Nothing. I’ll just drop you off at work first.”
After all, they were already boyfriend and girlfriend, how much longer until they went
public?
There was no need to rush.
**********
The car pulled up near Alana’s office.
Stephan reached out and ruffled her hair. “I’ll pick you up when you get off work
this afternoon.”
Alana didn’t hesitate for long and nodded. “Okay, same spot as always. Just don’t
park right in front of the office.”
He stared at her, his tone somber. “Lana, is having a boyfriend like me really so shameful?”
Alana shook her head. “No, I just want to keep a low profile. This car is too flashy. I don’t want people at the company to see it and start gossiping. I’m just an ordinary person. I just want to live a peaceful life and avoid getting into trouble.”
Stephan’s expression softened. So that was the reason. “Alright, I understand.”
Since that was what she wanted, he decided to respect her wishes.
Alana unbuckled her seatbelt and glanced at him. “So, see you this afternoon?”
Sheridan nodded. “Mm-hmm.”
Alana was just about to open the car door.
Suddenly, the man reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Alana looked at him, curiously.
Stephan stared at her, his eyes deep and intense.
“Did you forget something?”
Forgot something?
Alana looked down to check. Her purse was there, and so was her phone.
“I haven’t forgotten anything.”
The man chuckled. “You forgot to give your boyfriend a goodbye kiss.”
Oh, right!
Stephan slowly moved closer to her, raised his hand, and tapped his thin lips with his fingertip. “Give me a kiss.”
Seeing the expectant look on his face, Alana’s cheeks flushed. After a moment’s thought, she decided to grant his wish and quickly pressed her lips against his.
Blushing, she said, “That’s enough for now. If you want more, save it for tonight.”
With just those words, she had completely whetted the man’s appetite.
Stephan curved his lips. “Alright.”
Little did the innocent little rabbit know that come nightfall, it wouldn’t be as simple as just a kiss.
**********
Alana sat down at her desk at the office.
Thinking back to the lingering look in his eyes when they parted moments ago, a wave of sweetness washed over her.
She smiled as she turned on her computer.
Carla sensed something was up and leaned in. “What’s going on? You’re smiling so happily.”
Alana glanced at Carla and replied cheerfully, “Something good happened.”
Carla blinked. “What’s so good? Did you win the lottery?”
Alana curved her lips, it was something even more wonderful than winning the
lottery.
Suddenly, Carla’s eyes widened as she noticed a flash of vibrant red peeking out
from Alana’s chest.
“Hey, Lana, what’s that around your neck...”
Hearing this, Alana instinctively reached up and tucked the exposed ruby back into
place.
“Just a gemstone necklace I picked up online.”
Carla wanted to take a closer look, but Alana had suddenly hidden the gem again, so she couldn’t see it.
“But it’s so pretty! Where did you find it?”
Alana felt a little guilty. “I...I don’t know. My best friend gave it to me.”
She had no idea how much this ruby necklace cost, so it was better not to reveal that for now.
“Then ask your best friend where she found it. I’d like to buy a similar one too.”
Alana swallowed. “Uh...”
As soon as Carla left, Alana quickly pulled out her phone, secretly snapped a photo of the ruby necklace at her neckline, and sent it to Eve.
Alana: [Eve, can you take a look and tell me roughly how much this gemstone necklace costs?]
Eve popped back online almost immediately.
Eve: [Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! Where did you get that necklace?]
Alana: [Answer me first, do you recognize this gemstone necklace?]
Soon, Eve sent a photo over.
The gemstone necklace in the picture was strikingly identical to the one Alana was wearing around her neck.
It was one of the signature pieces from the world’s top luxury jewelry brand, called
“Queen’s Tears”
The official price was 56 million!
The moment she saw the price, Alana was completely stunned.
She had assumed the piece might cost a few hundred thousand, but she never imagined it was worth over 50 million?!
Oh my goodness!
She was actually wearing a necklace worth over 50 million?!
In an instant, Alana felt her neck grow heavy, as if the weight could bend it right over. Eve was even more excited than she was, constantly asking her who had given
her the necklace.
Alana replied shyly.
Alana: [ It’s him. He gave it to me this morning.]
Eve didn’t know was to say so she sent some punctuation marks.
Eve: [?!!!]
No way!
Alana never told her back then that the weirdo was this rich?!
He just dropped over 50 million on a single gift?!
What kind of crazy move was this?!
Eve: [Are you sure it’s the real deal?]
[Could it be a high-quality knockoff he dug up from some back alley?!]
But even if it was a fake, a replica of this quality wouldn’t come cheap.
Alana shook her head.
Alana: [Not sure.]
Eve: [No time to waste, I’m heading straight to your office after work.]
