Chapter 73: The Silver Moon Inn
It wasn’t a wall she had bumped into; no, it was something far stronger than a wall
She had just crashed into the leader of the Emberfang’s strongest adventurer party in Grayskeep, if not the whole of the Nazar Kingdom.
Once she realized she couldn’t even look him in his eyes, how could she when it was obvious that she would be fired or even killed for this colossal mistake
I mean, they were gold-rank adventurers, and not just that, but...
"Are you ok, miss?"
Hearing a strong, rough voice, she looked up and saw the same man who she thought was going to kill her giving her his hand, asking if she was ok
Given the sheer absurdity of the situation, she had to point to herself, pressing her finger into her soft chest through the tight uniform, and slowly ask
"M.m.m., me? I am sorry, but are you talking to me by any chance?
Kyro nearly laughed, saying, "But of course, is there anyone else here on the floor in front of me after falling because of my negligence?"
She was silent for all of two seconds after hearing that before she sprang up onto her feet, grasping onto his outstretched hand
"No, no, it was my fault. Please don’t blame yourself for my mistake. I should have been more aware of my surroundings. I’m sorry."
He laughed again. "My, my, no need to be so hasty, miss. Although I am happy to see you’re not injured, and no need to apologize; we can say it’s both our faults and be done with it, can’t we"?
He said, getting closer to her face, causing her face to get redder and redder the closer he got.
"Yes that sounds fine"
"Owww"
"Leave the poor girl alone, Kyro. Can’t you see she’s uncomfortable? Isn’t that right, dear".
"..."
"See, she’s fine, Selena," but not even a second after he had finished his sentence did another presence find its way to his side, and it, or should I say she, was not happy
Kyro looked down to find long, curly black hair hiding the face of the woman who had buried her face in his chest
"What you too Mia, I wasn’t even doing anything"
She looked up at him her beautiful brown eyes finding his pure foggy sky blue ones in a silent sarcastic question saying
"Really ?" The look was so obvious she practically had it written on her face
"Yes really, what, you don’t trust your own husband?" He doubled down
The answer came swiftly and simply
"No" she spoke as if starting a simple fact
"Wow I can’t believe you, you don’t trust me, me! Whose been by your side for four years now, I can’t believe you" he said leaning on Selena pretending to cry.
She didn’t reply, she simply stared at him leaning on a giggling Selena, while pretending to cry, and all she had on her face was a flat look.
"Oh you got your adventures card already, does that mean you’ve decided to take us up on our offer?"
Looking to his right Azreal saw Skylar approaching him and Olivia, clearly pretending not to know his brother who was still Busy pretending to cry
Hoping to get even a little sympathy from his women, which he was failing miserably at.
Beside Skylar was his wife Eva who was busy avoiding his eye contact for some strange reason and Nova who still looked pretty upset for being interrupted by those bandits but overall way calmer than before.
As they arrived in front of them Azreal spoke
"Yeah, we have nothing better to do, so might as well right"
Before Skylar could respond kyro shouted from across the room "Yeah I can feel that, what’s a man to do in eternal boredom am I right!"
Azrael for once fully smiled in their presence
"Never heard truer words"
Kyro smiled before asking "So what rank did you get if you don’t mind me asking"
This time it was Olivia who answered
"Copper, she said we’ll have to complete some quests so they know were serious before they give us our actual rank"
"Oh really, if they did that then you must have gotten a pretty high rank, if you want you too can come on this quest we just got"
Azreal shrugged his shoulders "sure why not"
"Good" turning to the still stunned receptionist kyro handed her a piece of paper and said
"Could you please add these two to this quest miss"
Quickly waking from her daze she took the paper and went to add them.
While she was doing that Azrael went up to Kyro and asked "Do you know any good places we could get a room, doesn’t matter the price as long as it’s good"
"Not only do I know the best place" before he could finish Selena spoke "we know the best place"
"Yeah like my wife so eagerly said we know the best place, the Silver Moon Inn, we would be happy to show you as we have rooms there too"
Before he could answer receptionist spoke up "Done, they are officially added to the quest"
"Thank you miss, you truly are a lifesaver" With that finished he turned back to Azreal asking
"So how about it?"
To which he answered "Lead the way"
And so he started walking with all the others following and his wife Selena still hanging from his shoulder.
"You’re going to love the place" Skylar said catching up to them
Azreal raised an eyebrow asking "How can you be so sure"
"I just know"
"If you say so, but I’m not too sure"

All standing at a wooden table were the Emberfangs, Kyro, Selena, Mia, Skylar, Eva, and Nova
They all had a glass tankard filled to the brim with ale which they excitedly clinked together in celebration of the two new people joining them
Azreal and Olivia
Ho could also be seen holding up their own tankards filled with ale to which after bringing all the glasses together each and everyone downed their own bottles.
Before slamming them down onto the wooden table, the first to finish was nova who got a cheer from all the other customers watching them.
The second was Olivia who didn’t even look the slightest bit fazed even though this was without a doubt her very first time drinking.
Then there was Kyro himself before Azreal finished not even a second after he did,
And right after the others followed the freaks of nature, I mean who could do that so fast, they had to be freaks of nature.
After everyone had finished drinking Azreal could see a few of them swaying as their faces were red with doubt
They were already down and this was only the seventh drink with smaller ones in between.
But it didn’t really matter as Olivia had already said she was really going to leave and they had their fun.
So he got up drank one last cup full before he said good night to everyone and went to his room
All while Nova was still drinking more, Kyro was kissing his two wives and Skylar was asleep in his chair with his wife playing in his hair while giggling to herself.
They truly were a weird bunch.
