Chapter 132: CH. 132 | The Joy of Lingxian Sect
An Yue’s heart was pounding hard, her eyes glistening as she took in what was in front of her. It was Lin Tian, standing tall, still wearing his white sleeping robe.
Moved by pure instinct, An Yue ran to him and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Lin Tian was a little caught off guard, especially when An Yue pressed her face into his chest, crying with deep, heartfelt relief.
"I’m so glad to see you’ve recovered, Lin Tian," An Yue said, tightening her hold on him.
Lin Tian realized that his condition had put many of his disciples through a great deal of worry. Looking at her, he could see that An Yue’s cultivation base had grown.
She hadn’t reached Core Formation yet, but achieving Peak Foundation Establishment was a solid milestone for her.
The qi aura around her body felt stable and stronger than before, and her bearing was far more mature than it had been. Lin Tian didn’t know everything she had been through to reach where she was today.
But it was a good development for her. He was sure the other disciples had each found their own breakthrough moments while he was still injured and unconscious.
"Thank you for looking after me, Yue’er."
The two of them let go of each other. Lin Tian reached forward and wiped the happy tears from An Yue’s face. There was a lot he needed to know about what had happened while he was unconscious.
An Yue smiled and told him she would fill him in on everything, including the major events that had taken place during the year he was out.
They walked inside the main sect hall and sat across from each other on the altar. An Yue began with what had happened.

She started from when Lin Tian had returned from the Yunlan Sect and begun his treatment.
An Yue told him that Li Qingxue from the Yunlan Sect had come to help, and their support had been more than enough to maximize his recovery.
"You were unconscious for a full year. During that time, several sects showed up. But Master Ying handled them well," An Yue said.
A full year... I missed my chance at the Saintess Spring Valley.
The effects of that mysterious power called Primordial Grand Heaven are terrifying. The strength and the consequences are equal.
"But starting two months ago, they stopped coming to the Lingxian Sect. I don’t know what caused it," An Yue said.
Lin Tian nodded. He had no idea what might have happened to them. But his focus right now was to restore himself to peak condition and get the sect back in order.
"They can probably handle their own problems," Lin Tian said.
"Probably," An Yue replied, turning her eyes back to him. "Can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
"I heard that you acted right away when you found out Li Qingxue was going to choose her dual cultivation candidate. Is that true?" An Yue asked.
It sounds like Han Xin shared a lot while they were here.
There’s no point hiding it.
Lin Tian went quiet for a moment, then let out a slow breath. He looked straight at An Yue with a completely serious expression.
"It’s because the Lingxian Sect needs the support of the Yunlan Sect," Lin Tian replied.
An Yue narrowed her eyes with curiosity. "I don’t understand."
"The selection of a dual cultivation candidate for Li Qingxue was their obligation under the Qin Sect Alliance’s orders. I read it as an attempt to exploit Li Qingxue for the benefit of one of the three major sects," Lin Tian said.
"Li Qingxue’s talent and ability are unmatched. Reaching the peak of Nascent Soul at a young age, leading a new sect until its name became known across the entire Qin Kingdom," Lin Tian said.

"I need the Yunlan Sect, a sect that already sits inside the Qin Sect Alliance. My goal is simple: tear that alliance apart from the inside," Lin Tian said.
"But what does any of that have to do with dual cultivation?"
Lin Tian laid it all out in detail, "The other obligation that follows dual cultivation is that Li Qingxue would join their sect, which would automatically leave the Yunlan Sect without a leader, opening it up to be filled by people loyal to the Qin Sect Alliance."
"Not only that, Li Qingxue’s chances of forming her own dao concept would be slim if she were too busy carrying out dual cultivation with whoever she chose," Lin Tian said.
An Yue smiled faintly, took a long breath, and let it out slowly. She had heard everything Lin Tian said, and his words clearly put her at ease.
At first she had assumed Lin Tian had done it purely because he didn’t want anyone to dual cultivate with Li Qingxue. She had thought Lin Tian had feelings for her.
But after hearing the detailed explanation, everything made sense, especially since Lin Tian had already spoken about the sect alliance before.
Having the Yunlan Sect as one of the allied sects for the Lingxian Sect would naturally be a tremendous advantage.
"I’ve been worried for a long time," An Yue said.
"What do you mean?" Lin Tian asked.
"I was worried... that the reason you got hurt was because you liked Li Qingxue and didn’t want anyone else to dual cultivate with her."
Lin Tian heard her and smiled faintly. He reached his hand out gently, inviting An Yue to take it. She did exactly that right away.
With one pull of his hand, Lin Tian drew An Yue’s body close into his arms. His face and An Yue’s flushed face were so close, their breath washing over each other’s skin.
"It seems I’ve had you worried for quite a long time, Yue’er," Lin Tian said.
"Not anymore... I’m just glad to hear your explanation, Lin Tian."
An Yue’s beautiful, mature face was right there in front of Lin Tian’s eyes. His left hand rose and gently tucked An Yue’s hair behind her ear, revealing clearly the tender, soft expression and the blush spread across her cheeks.
"I... will never make you sad again."
Lin Tian worked up the courage and moved his face closer. An Yue caught her breath, heart trembling, both hands gripping the fabric of her sect robe tightly.
An Yue let him and wanted to know what Lin Tian was about to do. She closed her eyes and let him.

Just as their lips were about to meet, the sound of echoing footsteps came from outside the main sect hall. Both An Yue and Lin Tian heard it.
"Senior Sister An Yue? I brought those crystals."
An Yue immediately stood and stepped back from Lin Tian, while Lin Tian tried to act natural, settling into his place at the cultivation altar.
The main sect hall door opened. Ya Fei stepped inside, and she was completely stunned to find An Yue in the hall alongside a now conscious Lin Tian.
"Master Lin?! You’re awake?!"
Ya Fei’s loud voice carried all the way outside the main sect hall. The disciples heard it, and they erupted with excitement and joy, rushing toward the hall in a crowd.
"Sect Leader Lin!"
"I’m so glad you’ve recovered!"
"Finally, the Lingxian Sect’s leader is back and safe! We can cultivate in peace again."
Lin Tian listened to all of them and let out a breath. An Yue watched their enthusiasm with a quiet laugh, then turned back toward Lin Tian with a soft, warm look.
"Congratulations on your recovery, Master Lin."
He glanced over and smiled briefly, "Thank you, Yue’er."
