Chapter 62: Don’t Make Me Wait Longer
Luellen’s hands flew to her face, hiding her squeal and bright blush. However, her ears were still in Leander’s full view. He then licked the ear closest to his mouth. She would squirm, but he kept her from moving. Those strong arms were not for nothing as they held her close to him.
"Wait! We can’t do this in front of your brother!" Luellen almost screeched as she struggled harder. It was just that Beckett showed a thumbs-up at them.
"Nah, I’m good. I can entertain myself with the movie." Beckett smiled deeper, teasing Luellen some more. "Just don’t get too noisy, Lue!"
...
Of course, nothing else happened in the courtyard. Leander only held Luellen like an emotional support bear while watching the movie with Beckett. Luellen continued eating her ice cream, still bringing her knees to her chest. The only change was that she kept offering Leander half a teaspoon.
Beckett fell asleep halfway through, but the couple only noticed when the movie ended. Leander ended up carrying his brother, instead of Luellen, in his strong arms. Luellen just helped in arranging the room so that Beckett and Sydney could sleep in peace.
A sigh escaped Luellen’s lips as she settled on Leander’s firm bed. It didn’t compare to the bed in the guest room, her dedicated space.
Leander had invited her to his room for the first time. She could have escaped just the same, but Leander just looked so tired. He developed dark circles under his eyes, perhaps from worrying about his family. Responsible for some of the stress, Luellen decided to humor his request.
"I didn’t think you’d follow." Leander chuckled, peeling off his suit jacket as it had already stuck to him. "Could you stay here for a few more minutes. I want to look decent for you."
"It’s okay. I’ll be here." Luellen nodded and watched Leander walk to the ensuite. When the door locked from inside, she took a deep breath.
She looked around with a smile on her lips. Luellen got up from the bed and looked through the small, uncrowded vanity. Since the rooms had little to no difference, she figured the rooms in the villa had the same layout. That vanity was only there because Leander didn’t get rid of it. It just served as a place to put Leander’s phone while it was charging. The personal effects in it were even less than half full.
Luellen picked up the perfume. She sniffed it and nodded. "This is what he normally wears to the office. Erm, won’t this be too expensive for me to buy him? Also, he might have a stock for this."
[You have unlocked a Super Task! Offer the Love Interest (Leander Wentworth) a better perfume!]
The maiden frowned a little. "But I like this scent... A better perfume? Maybe the Yellow Hearts Shop can give me a clue..."
Luellen closed her eyes and shuffled through her tabs to find the shop. However, even after filtering the contents, she could only see women’s perfumes on the list. Her brows knitted. She then flicked the tab to check other shops. Her fingers froze when she spotted the Red Hearts Shop.
It was no longer empty!
"This shop should be changing its items depending on the Love Interest’s circumstances..." Luellen frowned deeper, despite having her eyes closed. "The last time, I used up all my Red Hearts to buy that pass. It was the only item by then. Right now..."
Deep breath. She took a deep breath as she... scrolled down the multiple items. Each item needed two or three Red Hearts, which she didn’t have. Leander’s exclusive items were personal effects. It was as if the System asked Luellen to buy from it rather than from a material store. However, Luellen had no more Red Hearts to spend.
Luellen hummed and scrolled through the items. She could also see a few things labeled as Nathan’s exclusive. However, she just filtered them out.
"I have to level up to get more Red Hearts. I can also do some quests..." Luellen finally opened her eyes and looked down at the perfume she held. She uncapped it and sniffed the nozzle, picking up a stronger scent.
Without thinking too much, she sprayed it on her wrist. She capped the bottle and sniffed the perfume on her skin. The maiden whispered, "Maybe I can narrow it down if I know the smell he likes..."
When Luellen looked at the bottle again, a pop-up box showed up. It listed the perfume’s details, like its name and manufacturer. Then again, Luellen swiped up and found highlighted keywords at the end. Her eyes flickered as she stared at three words: intense, warm, and smoky.
After a few seconds, she flinched. Luellen excitedly scrolled down the Red Hearts shop and grinned from ear to ear. The perfumes sold had keywords on them just the same. She filtered the list and skimmed the remaining four perfumes.
"Three of them also have the same keywords..." Luellen tapped her chin. "I would need 9 Red Hearts to test all of them."
"What are you murmuring about?"
Luellen tore her eyes open, only to feel Leander hugging her from behind. His hair was still damp, as he had only finished his shower. Even his skin felt moist and cool to the touch. However, he didn’t mind sticking with Luellen again. His big hand caressed her belly, face digging against the back of her neck.
His warm breath tickled her skin. "Are you talking to someone? Is it a phone call? Who are you talking to?"
The maiden stiffly shook her head. She brought the perfume down, feigning a smile. "I’m just wondering if you like this perfume a lot."
Leander spied a look over her shoulder and saw his effects on the vanity. He chuckled. "I can settle for new scents if you like. Do you like the way I smell now? Would you rather go for a sweeter perfume like what Beck is wearing?"
Luellen giggled, holding down his hand on her stomach. "You’re tickling me. Uhm... I like your current scent. I can’t picture you wearing something sweet or mild... fresh and casual probably won’t fit you, either. What else is there? Musky? Leather? Erm, definitely not sensual."
"I didn’t know you liked shopping for men’s perfumes." Leander laughed before latching onto Luellen’s neck. "Ask me what scent I like on you."
"What scent do you like to smell on me...?" Luellen flinched, holding onto her chest.
"Mine."
[Hearts a-pounding! (Leander Wentworth) is asking for a five-star gift (First Time)! This gift is free yet extremely valuable. The discovery of the gift-giving might also upset other Love Interests. Deliberate carefully!]
Luellen gasped at the system prompt. Before she could say more, Leander’s hands moved to her chest, massaging her breasts. He even sucked on her neck, his tongue wetting the skin and his breath warming the spot. Luellen squirmed lightly, moaning at the sudden barrage of touches. Her hands held onto his wrists, but she didn’t peel his hands off her.
"Leander...! Wait...!" Luellen’s breath was pulled out when a sensation thundered all over her body. His fingers had found her hard nubs, and one rub was enough to make her knees weak.
"Please don’t make me wait any longer..." he whispered, "I’ve been waiting for so long."
