Chapter 534: Chapter 534 I Love You
The nurse carefully treated Gu Shiting’s wound.
The wound wasn’t big and didn’t need stitching.
Sheng Tang sat beside him, not saying a word.
Song Chen noticed and walked over to her, "Tangtang, you must have been scared."
"I’m fine," Sheng Tang replied.
She wasn’t scared, but she didn’t have the strength to talk, feeling insignificant in the face of disasters and accidents.
Who knew such an accident would happen?
There were only two seconds left on the red light. If the car had started, the crash might have been worse.
At the critical moment, Gu Shiting held her tightly to protect her.
He knew the danger, yet he chose to save Sheng Tang first.
Apart from parents, no one else would sacrifice themselves like this, but Gu Shiting did it, as if it were the most natural thing to do.
This was why Sheng Tang remained silent.
She felt her heart was a bit cruel, and she was ungrateful for not reciprocating such genuine care from Gu Shiting.
"I’ll look into it and see if it was just an accident," Song Chen told Sheng Tang. "Don’t worry. You and the young master should go home first."
The nurse had finished treating Gu Shiting.
He could go home, but his driver needed to stay in the hospital for observation overnight.
Song Chen’s driver would take them to the Gu Family.
On the way, Sheng Tang called home and didn’t mention the car accident. She just said she was going to study with Gu Shiting and would stay at the Gu Family house tonight.
Her family didn’t mind and didn’t ask much.
"Tangtang, why are you so quiet?" On the way, Gu Shiting held her hand tightly.
Although he had washed his hands, Sheng Tang still felt the faint smell of blood on his fingers.
"How are you feeling?"
"I’m fine, you don’t need to talk about this," Gu Shiting smiled.
"Does the wound hurt?"
Gu Shiting replied, "A bit."
Then, he added, "It’s alright, it’s not a big deal. If my hand had been hurt badly, it could be troublesome. Bone and muscle injuries take a hundred days to heal. I’m worried it would affect my performance in the final exams, and I might not get my present."
Sheng Tang’s heart suddenly trembled.
He understood, and he was also afraid.
But when danger came, he instinctively protected her first.
Why did he treat her so well?
The car quickly arrived at the Gu Family house, and neither Mr. Gu nor his wife was home, so no one made a fuss.
Sheng Tang and Gu Shiting’s pants and shoes were wet, and his shirt had blood on it, so they went to their rooms to change their clothes first.
The maid saw this and made them some warm soup for their stomachs.
Sheng Tang took a shower, changed her clothes, and planned to give her uniform to the maid to wash and dry. She noticed the soup the maid had made.
"I’ll do it," she said.
She carried the soup to Gu Shiting’s room.
Gu Shiting had taken a quick hot shower, avoiding the wound on his forehead, and changed into loose, comfortable home clothes.
"Have some, it’s probably ginger soup," Sheng Tang said. "Don’t catch a cold."
Her mood had been low.
Gu Shiting took the tray and put it aside, then pulled Sheng Tang into his lap and sat on the couch.
He held her tightly, like holding a child, "Tangtang, why are you unhappy? Were you scared?"
Sheng Tang leaned her head down and gently rubbed the bandage on his wound, "A little."
"Don’t be afraid, I’m here," Gu Shiting said softly, then kissed her cheek. "Don’t be scared, I’ll protect you."
Sheng Tang said, "Actually, I should protect you."
After all, compared to me, you’re just a child.
Gu Shiting smiled.
He didn’t argue with her about it.
Looking at her face, and her eyes, he couldn’t help but say, "I love you, Tangtang!"
Sheng Tang’s eyes widened suddenly.
This was his first formal confession.
