Chapter 487: Chapter 487: Any Progress?
Sheng Tang usually doesn’t get sick often, but when she does, she falls seriously ill.
When she slowly regained consciousness and opened her eyes, she saw the white ceiling.
The room was filled with the faint smell of disinfectant and medicine, which wasn’t unpleasant. Instead, it exuded a sense of cleanliness and calm.
She didn’t move because she really had no strength.
Slightly turning her head, she saw Gu Shiting.
Gu Shiting was lying on her hospital bed, holding her hand with one of his hands.
On his wrist was that ridiculous and cheap bracelet, which Sheng Tang had made for him.
His family was immensely wealthy; he could afford any expensive bracelet, yet he cherished this worthless one, wearing it proudly and showing it off everywhere.
A few strands of warmth slipped through Sheng Tang’s heart.
She really wanted to touch his short hair, like stroking her own child.
She also wanted to promise him sooner.
However, he was too young and his mind was like a child’s. He might not even know what he was pursuing; Sheng Tang was an adult, and she couldn’t mislead him.
She steeled her heart.
"Don’t let yourself be embarrassed, and don’t let him regret it in the future," Sheng Tang said to herself.
She moved slightly.
As soon as she moved, Gu Shiting woke up immediately, with three marks on his face from leaning on his arm, looking puzzled and innocent, his big eyes staring at her.
Sheng Tang smiled.
"How do you feel?" Seeing her smile, the heavy stone in Gu Shiting’s heart lifted halfway.
He spoke and reached out to feel Sheng Tang’s forehead.
Her fever had gone down.
Still worried, he pressed his forehead against hers.
Sheng Tang instinctively closed her eyes, letting his slightly warm forehead approach, feeling the temperature of his skin.
"No more fever," Gu Shiting said. "Thank goodness, it’s nothing serious!"
"It was never anything serious," Sheng Tang smiled. "Just a cold and fever, and you all rushed me to the hospital overnight. By the way, when did you arrive?"
Gu Shiting: "Zong called me."
Sheng Tang: "You came in the middle of the night?"
Gu Shiting didn’t answer definitively.
Sheng Tang became anxious.
She quickly asked, "Are you alright?"
"Song Chen drove, and there was always a night light in the cabin, so it wasn’t dim," Gu Shiting tried to be as honest as possible because he feared Sheng Tang wouldn’t believe him, "I felt uncomfortable when I got out of the car, but I was very worried about you, so I ignored it."
Later, we transferred hospitals.
When transferring, Song Chen directly called an ambulance from the private hospital.
The ambulance lights were even brighter, and Gu Shiting accompanied her during the transfer, so there was naturally no problem.
His whole heart was focused on Sheng Tang, and he didn’t notice anything wrong with himself.
"That was risky," Sheng Tang breathed a sigh of relief. "Be careful next time. You have to take care of yourself so others can be at ease."
Gu Shiting nodded.
He then asked Sheng Tang, "Are you worried about me too?"
Sheng Tang: "What a dumb question!"
Gu Shiting smiled, his eyes sparkling.
He bent down and kissed her forehead.
Sheng Tang: "..."
If it wasn’t a hallucination, she felt someone kiss her lips last night.
Seeing Gu Shiting’s skillful movements, it was obvious who it was last night.
Sheng Tang thought, "Still worried."
Gu Shiting sat back in his original position, holding her hand and kissed it with his lips: "Get well soon, Tangtang, you scared me."
Sheng Tang: "..."
A man so tall, easily saying he was scared, where is the dignity?
She had no strength to complain, Gu Shiting sat by her bed, chatting with her occasionally.
Sheng Tang planned to ask him why he wasn’t going to school today, but asking would be pointless. This top student didn’t need to be in the classroom every day.
Until her grandmother brought some food over.
