Chapter 430: Chapter 430 Sheng Tang’s Initiative
After the movie ended, Gu Shiyan felt relieved and very comfortable.
"This movie was made in France and is going to be released domestically the day after tomorrow. I wanted to watch it in advance but was worried it might be too gory and uncomfortable.
Turns out, it wasn’t excessively gory, and the deliberately tense atmosphere wasn’t particularly scary either. I’m glad you guys watched it with me." Gu Shiyan looked very satisfied.
Sheng Tang and the other two had a sickly expression on their faces.
Especially Gu Shiting, who had no patience left. He said to his sister, "Get lost!"
He furiously dragged Sheng Tang away.
As soon as they left, at the turn of the stairs, Gu Shiyan suddenly leaned towards Song Chen.
Song Chen was startled by her but then laughed.
"Was it good?" Gu Shiyan asked quietly.
Song Chen truthfully replied, "Not good!"
Gu Shiyan: "..."
Honestly, there’s no one in this family who understands her. Miss Gu felt lonely.
She hugged Song Chen’s waist for a moment, then turned and walked upstairs.
Song Chen stood there, smiling helplessly yet indulgently.
Gu Shiting felt his brain was assaulted, his face was ashen, and he felt really uncomfortable, wanting to vomit.
Sheng Tang also felt the movie was overly violent.
She’s not very appreciative of gory and violent horror movies, and now her head hurts.
"Wanna go swimming?" She asked Gu Shiting, hoping to clear her mind.
Gu Shiting agreed.
But while swimming, Sheng Tang kept recalling the scene where the yacht broke at the end of the movie, and the female protagonist fell into the water and got hurt. After two laps, she got out of the pool.
Gu Shiting felt the same, following her out of the pool without asking why.
They took a shower and went to bed. Since they had finished watching the movie two hours ago, its impression was still vivid.
After closing her eyes, Sheng Tang started having nightmares.
The nightmare woke her up, and she had to go to school the next morning. She felt desolate and complained about Gu Shiyan, "Ah, why is my sister so unreliable?"
She hesitated for a moment and then went to Gu Shiting’s side.
Knocking on the door, Gu Shiting hadn’t fallen asleep yet.
Seeing her, he was delighted and raised his brows with a smile, "What’s wrong?"
Sheng Tang squeezed into the room, "I’m sleeping with you tonight."
It had always been Gu Shiting sticking to her, but tonight it was reversed.
Gu Shiting was pleasantly surprised.
Sheng Tang got into bed first, pulled the blanket over herself, and told him, "That movie is stuck in my head. As soon as I fall asleep, I have nightmares."
Gu Shiting lay down next to her and reached out to rub her hair.
He pulled her into his arms, feeling that she had lost weight, soft and weightless in his embrace. He could shield her from the wind and rain.
"From now on, we won’t watch movies with her anymore." Gu Shiting kissed Sheng Tang’s hair.
He felt secretly happy.
His sister had inadvertently done a good deed, allowing him to hold Sheng Tang and sleep peacefully tonight.
Holding her felt like holding the entire world, so secure.
Moments later, he drifted off to sleep.
His steady, rhythmic breathing echoed in Sheng Tang’s ears, and her consciousness gradually blurred.
She too fell asleep soon, though not very peacefully. But with Gu Shiting there, she didn’t wake up completely.
That night, her sleep was very shallow.
The next day was Monday, and they both had to get up early for school. At six o’clock, Sheng Tang heard Gu Shiting’s alarm and got up first.
As she moved, Gu Shiting woke up as well.
They washed up and went downstairs to eat.
Gu Shiyan got up early today too, as she had to catch a morning flight for work.
They met her at the entrance of the dining room, and Gu Shiting said quietly, "Well done."
Gu Shiyan was completely puzzled.
Gu Shiting had no intention of explaining, and went to the dining room to have breakfast, looking very satisfied.
