Gun of Ashes

Congratulations are in order, the book is finally being released. For an ordinary author like me, releasing a book is truly a love-hate affair. It's like you've finally graduated, able to work and earn money, but there's also a chance of being beaten down by society.

As of now, the book's performance is similar to the data from my last book's release, but I can see that reader retention is quite high, better than the last book. The last one died a quick death right after its release.

Speaking of the last book, it's worth discussing the changes between the two. At least personally, I feel like I've improved a lot after the experience of sacrificing a book. I've avoided some mistakes and have opened up to many new writing styles.

Actually, before this book, I wrote another one, a modern paranormal novel. However, possibly due to the content, the review process took two rounds before approval, not to mention signing a contract, so I was left stunned with a 200,000-word draft.

This book was written after the demise of the modern paranormal one, and it's considered a spur-of-the-moment project. However, in this burst of inspiration, the words flowed like a spring. After writing a few chapters and feeling good about it, I published them.

This book was originally intended to be directly altered significantly. But since the modern paranormal one died possibly due to being too close to reality, many real place names and such have been changed considerably.

Now, let's talk about the real life of the author. I'm currently interning during college, working from 10 AM to 7 PM. Although it sounds nice, the company is far away, and just commuting takes two hours. Coupled with recent mental fuzziness, it's quite hard to bear.

To maintain quality, I'll do my best to write two chapters if I can, and even if it's just one chapter, I'll write a bit more.

Next, the old topic again, I hope everyone subscribes a lot. Even if you're just a freeloader, I hope you can support by subscribing initially, as a book quickly dying can be quite a blow to one's mindset.

The book currently has an outline, albeit a particularly fragmented one. Overall, there are three major stories conceived so far, and I think these stories represent the pinnacle of my skill. I am determined to write them.

Roughly speaking, it's about the "descent into madness" of small characters, Lorenzo's own "soul depth," and the "eternal remembrance" from the East.

I absolutely love these three stories and will write them at the peak of my abilities.

Then, I originally intended to say a lot more, but once I started writing, I realized I couldn't write much. It's quite frustrating, so that's about it for this statement. I'll go and prepare drafts for tomorrow's release.
