Chapter 1121: Chapter 99: Tools
The surface of the sea swelled, finally bursting open, raising a chilling torrential rain, with boundless light refracting and flickering within, like a cascade of falling stars.
The heavy rain washed over Lorenzo’s cheeks, bringing an unbearable chill. He lifted his head, gazing alongside the Plague Doctor at the blazing sun rising from the depths of the ocean, clutching tightly to the weapon in his hand.
"Do you think something like that can actually be killed, Mr. Holmes?"
The Plague Doctor looked up at that great presence, and no matter how much mental preparation he had made, at this very moment, his mind was still slightly shaken.
After countless years of pursuit, the Plague Doctor finally witnessed a glimpse of the "God" with his own eyes.
"If it can bleed, it can be killed."
Lorenzo said indifferently, his face expressionless, already prepared.
He was determined to save this world from its preordained cycle, to kill all the obstacles and end this damn destiny.
Whether human or god, or other evil anomalies, anything in his way was Lorenzo’s enemy.
The soldier’s body began to mutate, with the spread of erosion, under Lorenzo’s dominion, the body was advancing toward the direction of a demon.
Lorenzo had become aware of part of the mystery, this disease called "Erosion," its source was these Ascenders like Lorenzo.
So, Lorenzo was quite curious. Among the people he had seen with the authority·Gabriel, everyone seemed to have some degree of spreading erosion ability. So who is it? Who is so powerful, continuously affecting this world, spreading erosion, and what lies beyond the fence, why are the cruel Watchers the most devout Shepherds?
All the mysteries would be unraveled.
The Plague Doctor watched the mutation on the soldier, as he was manipulated by Lorenzo, tampered with at will.
"You’re becoming more and more like a monster, Mr. Holmes."
"I always have been, just well-disguised."
The soldier turned his head, his face completely twisted, leaving only a pair of flaming, bright white eyes.
The soldier was met with a pair of equally bright white eyes, cloudy flames rising from the Plague Doctor’s pupils.
The Plague Doctor looked towards the sea surface ahead, gazing at this great presence, admiring its beauty.
This was a gigantic stone pillar rising from the depths of the sea, each scale like a massive rhomboid shield, embedded in its body, densely packed, forming this abhorrent carcass.
The sea waves rolled and beat against Its body, splashing into foamy droplets, no matter how forcefully nature tried, it could not shake this enormous presence.
The Plague Doctor couldn’t see Its face, the intense light from the serpent’s eyes prevented anyone’s prying, mortals couldn’t behold Its true visage, only feeling that daylight was suspended above this serpent body.
"We share the same origin as the Gods."
In the eyes of those bearing Secret Blood, they all possessed the same pure and incandescent flame.
The Secret Blood surged, igniting every inch of flesh, awakening the dormant power within.
The Plague Doctor’s body began to expand, like Zeus, starting to transform, legs bending backward, muscles growing, without skin to cover it, countless red tentacles lifted from the exposed flesh, fiercely dancing in the air, as if draped in red seaweed, swaying with the wind.
Emotions up to now, what remained in the Plague Doctor’s heart was an uncontrollable excitement.
In front of this great creation, initially, he might have felt fear, but the inner greed for knowledge grew ever stronger, whispering crazily in his ears, urging the Plague Doctor to wield his sword towards the God.
"So, let’s see, are we gods or demons?"
Lorenzo said this lastly, and in the next moment, the two leapt up from the deck, moving swiftly, only two crimson shadows could be seen flickering to the naked eye.
As the two began to take action, the Sea Serpent stirred up waves, its huge and heavy head slamming into the deck of the Blood Shark, in Its presence, the ironclad ship was just a clumsy, unwieldy tin can, and as it rose from the sea, the sinking of the Blood Shark was already doomed.
Everything on the deck was effortlessly destroyed, whether cabin or terrace cannons, they were like clutter on the table, cleared away by a sweeping giant hand, neither soldiers nor demons had time to evade, directly crushed into a blur of flesh and blood.
Lorenzo also took this opportunity to approach the Sea Serpent, his sharp claws savagely slashing at the resilient snake scales, these scales were unimaginably large. Now observing them up close, instead of calling them snake scales, Lorenzo found these things more akin to black rocks embedded on the Snake God.
Blinding sparks scattered, claws cutting into metal-like surfaces, some broken fragments fell away, like blackened snowflakes.
Authority·Medanzo.
This familiar sensation made Lorenzo immediately realize the origin of these scale armors, a manifestation of the Secret Blood power, which the Demon Hunting Order referred to as Authority·Medanzo.
This tough armor enveloped every inch of the Sea Serpent’s skin, within the gaps of the scales, dim white light flickered, with a pattern like breathing.
Lorenzo was also dragged into the Sea Serpent’s sweeping motion, amidst shattered steel and icy seawater, he stared at this rampaging Sea Serpent and asked.
"What exactly are you?"
No one answered Lorenzo, flesh and blood were instantly crushed, shattered into putrid, foul-smelling blood.
The roaring sound of cannon fire erupted, the fixed cannons on both sides of the ship hadn’t yet been attacked by the Sea Serpent, they all fired, at such close range, heavy metal roared and crashed into the scale armors.
