And just as expected, the succubi had finally finished their evolution. Thanks to that, they had awakened unique powers, and even their appearance had changed.

"She is probably recovering her memories. Who knows when she will wake up," the small fairy shrugged, turning her attention away from the queen.

Since the beginning, they weren't planning on counting on her so soon.

Now, about the other elite guards… The small fairy let out a long sigh as she looked at one of them.

"Okay, so I need to select five of you who will accompany your King on a mission to cross the Death Forest. Needless to say, it will be a dangerous journey, so if anyone wants to give up, you can raise your hand."

No one raised a hand. They were Shin's servants. Quite literally, they were born and forged thanks to his sexual energy and guidance. Even if they needed to risk their lives, they wouldn't hesitate.

"Okay, so among all of you, who is capable of using multiple spells?" She asked next.

Lilel had Shin's memories, so she remembered that there were a few paths an evolved succubus could follow. Just like in the game, what powers and personalities they would get was random. But at least one in ten evolved succubi were generalist mages.

In this case, they had gotten lucky as two women raised their hands. Medea, one of the girls, made a book appear in her hands and said she could use any spell from her books.

The second succubus was Merlinda, who described herself as a great mage. Considering they had two versatile demons, Lilel decided to send one of them with Shin and keep the other behind to help if they needed anything.

"And do any of you have a power that allows you to control monsters?" she asked next.

Another common power for a succubus was controlling creatures, especially monsters, be it by direct taming, illusion, or love, depending on the situation.

As luck would have it, they had a tamer among their girls. Lilel would definitely make her stay behind and use her power to build an army of monsters.

The problem with tamers was that they generally could only tame weak monsters. However, by taming them young, this problem could be solved. Once the monster grew, it would still be loyal. The only issue, of course, would be time.

A tamer like that would need at least one year, and if possible two or three years, to get powerful beasts under her control.

"I'm not sure she will become useful in time for the Ice Wolf Clan war, but this is for Shin to decide," Lilel thought, moving on with the questions.

From there on, there was no specific power to look for, so she asked all the girls to step in a line so she could ask about their powers one by one.

This went smoothly until the last woman in the line stepped forward.

"Greetings, Lilel. My name is Fae," she presented herself politely, placing a hand close to her chest.

Just like everyone else, she was a beautiful woman. Long hair cascaded down her back in two striking shades, soft violet on one side and deep black on the other, framing a face that seemed perpetually unreadable.

She had small horns for a succubus of her stature, and her wings were small like bat wings. Lilel also noticed how her tail curled around her leg, its heart-shaped point pointing toward the fairy.

Fae wore clothes that barely concealed her petite body. She had a slender build that didn't command any fear. To put it bluntly, she looked somewhat weak.

Still, she was completely different from the cute and weak succubus from earlier. Fae still seemed somehow scary.

Lilel couldn't shake the feeling that she was unique. Even when her mana was clearly low, her body weak, and her appearance unremarkable, something felt off.

And probably the reason for it was her eyes. They shone with a vivid and unsettling blue, seeming to hide profound thoughts.

*It's no use. She is impossible to read…* Lilel thought in resignation.

"So, what is your power?"

"I don't know…" she said softly.

"Wait, you are an Unknown!" Lilel exclaimed in shock.

As said before, the evolution of the succubi followed a gacha logic. And among them, the rarest possible evolution was the Unknown Succubus.

Normally, as soon as a succubus evolved she gained all her power and instantly knew how her powers worked. But the Unknown was a special case.

Her power needed to be awakened, which would only happen at the right moment. So they were extremely weak at first, but in exchange, the power they awakened when they finally found the right inspiration was always incredible.

But getting one like that should be almost impossible. The chances were one in a million. The Unknown could only be obtained in the game by buying the special Succubus DLC, which gave you an army of millions of sex demons. And among them, at least one would be an Unknown.

"Is this a good thing?" Fae asked slowly, her eyes blinking in confusion. "I thought I was screwed," she said, but her eyes didn't betray any worry while her index finger lazily played with her long hair.

"Well, it just means that you have a lot of potential ahead of you," Lilel said with a smile. "But for now, you definitely must stay behind. Be careful when going on missions, because you are not as powerful as the others."

"Understood," Fae answered without much worry.

"So I think we are done," Lilel murmured, summarizing all the information in her head, but then she noticed one thing.

However, before she could say anything, Fae had already commented on it. "Aren't you going to ask about her powers?" she pointed behind her.

It was only then that Lilel was able to see that there was a last woman in line. Her presence was so thin she was almost impossible to notice.

And even when Lilel was paying attention to her, she seemed to disappear from her sight for a few instants.

"My name is Yasmin," the girl presented herself. "And my power is misdirection and confusion. Ultimately, you could say I'm a ghost… at least for now." She commented, stepping forward.

Her hand moved quickly, aiming to grab Lilel, which immediately gave the small fairy a flashback to the many times Shin had done it with her.

However, Yasmin's hand passed right through her, as if she had never been there in the first place.

"As you can see, I apparently don't really have a body… I guess."

"Okay…" Lilel nodded, a bit surprised.

Then she thought for an instant, deciding who should go with Shin.
