Chapter 488: Chapter 191: The Mentors’ Shock, Honing Killing Techniques on the Trial Planet

After a moment of thought, he didn’t hold back, transferring over two-thirds of the Potions and some high-energy compressed food into his Subspace Storage Unit.

For a hellish, eleven-month trial, logistical support had to be flawless.

Once he was done, he didn’t linger. He walked straight out of the Cultivation Quiet Chamber and headed swiftly toward Platform A8 in the Fearless Zone.

...

The exclusive zone of the Fearless Warband was far more imposing and somber than the public areas.

The corridors were forged from cold alloy, their walls inscribed with the Warband’s iron fist emblem and the names of its powerful members throughout history. The very air seemed thick with the scent of iron and blood.

Qin Feng soon arrived at Platform A8.

It was a circular hall that covered nearly a thousand square meters. The floor, made of deep black Crystal Stone, was etched with complex and arcane silver runes—the foundation of the Subspace Teleportation Array.

In the center of the platform, a figure stood with his hands clasped behind his back.

The man was tall and lean, dressed in a form-fitting black Combat Suit. He had neat, short hair. His face wasn’t handsome, but his features were sharply defined, and his eyes were as placid as an abyss.

On his back was a weapon wrapped in layers of black cloth strips. Judging from its length and silhouette, it was probably a Long Saber.

Simply by standing there, he projected the air of a Grandmaster, profound and unmovable as a mountain. It was as if he had merged with the space around him, becoming an unshakable stabilizing field unto himself.

As Qin Feng’s eyes landed on him, he knew at once.

"Senior Brother Zongyun."

He stepped forward, greeting him in a low voice.

The man turned, his gaze sweeping over Qin Feng. A warm smile broke through his previously placid expression. "Haha, Junior Brother Qin Feng, I’ve heard so much about you. Your exploits have certainly made quite a splash among us older students."

His voice was rich and magnetic, putting people at ease.

"Senior Brother, you flatter me."

Qin Feng’s reply was, as always, concise.

"Identity confirmation successful."

Zongyun’s wrist terminal lightly tapped against Qin Feng’s, emitting a crisp confirmation chime.

He nodded. The smile on his face receded slightly, replaced by a professional and serious expression. "Since you’re ready, let’s go."

Before the words were even out of his mouth, he turned and walked toward the center of the Teleportation Array.

Qin Feng followed close behind.

Once they were positioned at the array’s core, Zongyun activated the teleportation sequence.

In an instant, innumerable silver runes beneath their feet lit up in sequence. Boundless, pure spatial energy was activated, erupting into a brilliant silver column of light that completely swallowed them.

In a flash, the world before them was torn, stretched, and twisted into a kaleidoscope of bizarre colors. An indescribable sense of weightlessness and spatial pressure assaulted them simultaneously.

But the sensation lasted less than a second.

The next moment, the light dissipated, and their surroundings became clear and stable once more.

Blinding starlight streamed in through a massive viewport, flooding Qin Feng’s vision.

He instinctively squinted. Once his eyes adjusted, he was utterly stunned by the scene before him.

They were standing on an impossibly massive metal platform. Beyond it lay the deep, cold vacuum of the Cosmos.

And there, in the void, hung a colossal planet.

It was a dirty, rust-and-soil-colored brown. Its massive continents were scarred with menacing craters and vast canyons, and toxic, gray-green clouds churned in its thin atmosphere.

The entire planet radiated an aura of primordial savagery, brutality, and death.

This was the Trial Planet, "Meatgrinder-III."

"So massive..."

Qin Feng’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he breathed out in genuine awe.

He recalled another Trial Planet that Master Lin Yue had taken him to when he was still at Qiming First Martial Arts High School.

That experience had given him his first true understanding of the Empire’s might.

But compared to the planet before him now, that one had been like a glass marble next to a basketball.

That Trial Planet had been merely a modified asteroid, meant for basic combat training for Third-level Martial Artists. The power of the greenskins there was strictly controlled; the strongest among them was only at Level 2 Peak.

Whereas this one... this was a true, giant terrestrial planet!

It was a professional "slaughterhouse" designed for sixth and Seventh-level Martial Artists, whose life force indexes easily numbered in the tens of thousands!

In terms of volume, ecosystem complexity, and the sheer number and quality of the greenskin legions entrenched there, the two planets were worlds apart.

But what shocked Qin Feng even more was the very Space Fortress on which they now stood.

It was like a steel leviathan, crouched in planetary orbit, on a scale that defied Qin Feng’s imagination.

Countless massive gun barrels, like monstrous fangs, were aimed at the planet below and the surrounding Cosmos. On enormous flight decks, Imperial warships were constantly landing, taking off, and resupplying. Innumerable transport ships and drop pods buzzed in and out like worker bees, creating a magnificent panorama of power and Order.

Compared to this, even the Starport on the Star of Enlightenment seemed small.

Just as Qin Feng’s mind was reeling from the spectacle, a Martial Artist in fully-enclosed heavy power armor approached with ponderous steps. The hydraulic pistons in the armor’s joints emitted a soft HISS.

His helmet was fully enclosed, and his voice came through a processor, slightly muffled. "Fearless Warband. Zongyun, Qin Feng. Identities verified via datalink. Welcome to the ’Meatgrinder-III’ orbital fortress."
