Chapter 362: Chapter 357: Humanoid Scorpion Spider, Surprising Harvest

This divine kingdom creature.

It had a form like a spider or scorpion, crouching low to the ground.

But its limbs weren’t the segmented legs of an insect—they were human hands and feet!

What unsettled Su Ye even more was the look in this human head’s eyes. It was filled with a cunning viciousness, as if it were perpetually scheming.

At its rear, a thick scorpion tail was raised high. The tip was hollow, but a tiny, pitch-black stinger could be seen slowly extending from within.

Without a doubt, it had used this very tail to launch the poison stinger from before.

’A hybrid of a human, a spider, and a scorpion?’

’What is this monster?’

A shiver of disgust ran down Su Ye’s spine.

Just then, the Humanoid Scorpion Spider looked at Su Ye and let out a guttural hiss.

It bared its fangs, its muscles coiling. With a sudden burst of power—BOOM—it launched itself into a high leap, pouncing straight for Su Ye!

The deck trembled slightly.

The Humanoid Scorpion Spider soared high!

Riding a foul, stinking wind, it bared two ghastly fangs and lunged for Su Ye!

’You’re courting death!’

A vicious glint flashed in Su Ye’s eyes.

He raised his Moonfall Halberd and unleashed a series of slashes.

SWISH.

A spiritual light flowed.

Silver Moon Arcs crisscrossed as they slashed forth, like Wind Blades.

But just then, a disturbingly human-like cunning flashed in the eyes of the monster’s deformed human head!

The next moment, its fanged spider head detached from its bloated, deformed body and shot forward like a rocket jettisoning a fuel pod!

A flying head attack!

Apparently, the human head hanging beneath its neck was the main one, responsible for controlling the body and for thought.

The spider head on top, meanwhile, was more like some kind of weapon... one that could even detach from the body to attack!

WHOOSH!

Detaching from the body gave it a reactive boost, making the spider head’s flight even faster!

It flashed through the gaps between the Moon Arcs, appearing before Su Ye in an instant, almost as if it had teleported!

"Hssss..."

Its mandibles gaped open, revealing two spider fangs dripping with a venom that gave off a sickeningly sweet stench. It aimed for Su Ye and bit down hard!

However...

A vicious glint flashed in Su Ye’s eyes.

With a flick of his arm, he turned the Moonfall Halberd sideways.

The broad, moon-shaped blade of the halberd easily batted the spider head aside, just like a badminton racket!

But just then, a thin line of water suddenly appeared above its head.

The line of water trembled slightly, then split into a thousand more.

In an instant, a dense net of water, like a fishing net, formed and descended upon the scorpion-spider!

Its human head shrieked. All seven or eight of its limbs flailed desperately, trying to lower its center of gravity and avoid hitting the water net.

It succeeded.

And yet, it failed.
