Chapter 883: Metallic Creation II

’Ecliptic Whirlwind!’

The cosmic energy-infused whip spun through the air like a spiral, and within seconds, a giant horizontal tornado had formed, swirling with immense force and pulling in the surrounding rocks and debris.

Lawforged Rupture!!

Orjool screamed and swung his blade down at the same moment Arthur thrust his hand forward, sending the swirling mass of energy on a collision course with the orc’s strike.

***BOOOOOMM!!!

Space distorted at the point of impact as the elongated blade cut through several layers of the tornado, its energy draining with each layer, until the remainder completely shredded the energy-constructed extension to pieces, crumbling it in a bright explosion.

Arthur folded his wings and landed on the ground, but the moment his foot touched the earth, Orjool appeared behind him and swung his sword down. The slash never hit its mark, however, as Arthur instantly spun, formed a whip in his hands, and snapped it around Orjool’s wrists, dragging it down to forcefully redirect the strike to the ground beside him.

The force he applied and the weight of the sword made Arthur’s body tilt to the right, so he took advantage of it, kicking his left leg up toward Orjool’s side and landing three solid kicks that knocked the orc several metres off to the side.

Orjool’s feet skidded across the earth, not even staggering as he infused his arms with magic power and pulled them apart, shattering the whip binding his wrists. He tried to grab his great sword, but Arthur formed another whip in his right hand, wrapped it around the sword’s hilt, leapt into the air, and yanked the weapon back to deprive Orjool of it.

This had little effect, however, as Orjool simply conjured another great sword with the power of creation and charged at the airborne Arthur.

The godslayer used law energy to glue the crack of his whip to Orjool’s blade and swung it, forcing the orc to leap to the left to avoid the vertical slash.

Arthur immediately pulled back his hand and swung it diagonally downwards, forcing Orjool to cancel his jump and roll further to his left to evade the second strike. Clicking his tongue, the orc activated his Creation Authority, spawning several javelins behind Arthur, and slammed his fist down to launch them toward the godslayer.

Arthur, sensing the danger, folded his wings and dropped to the ground, letting the javelins pass through empty space and fly straight toward Orjool.

The orc caught one with his right hand, spun it, and hurled it back at Arthur with immense force, forcing him to pull back his whip and use the sword glued to its edge to deflect it.

The clash destroyed both the blade and the whip in an explosion, but Arthur didn’t hesitate to release the broken whip, jumping back to avoid another of Orjool’s lightning-fast great sword slashes, only to groan as his chest wound throbbed painfully.

He staggered slightly, but he still condensed divinity in his left palm and fired it as a beam straight at Orjool to keep the orc from following up. In his right hand, he generated another whip and began winding his arm, creating a horizontal tornado with immense suction that dragged Orjool’s massive body toward it.

Seeing the rocks being shredded by the spiralling energy, Orjool decided NOT to get caught up in that, stabbing his great sword into the ground both to anchor himself and infuse the earth with his magic power.

Rise, my steel warriors!

The ground cracked open, and metal orcs about half Orjool’s size, each wielding different weapons, climbed out, making Arthur heave an exasperated sigh as they charged at him from all directions.

’Of course, he can do that too.’

The metal orcs coming from the front were quickly drawn into and shredded by the tornado his spinning whip had created, but those on his sides remained unaffected.

With his left hand, Arthur created a whip and swung it, using weapon law energy to weave its thong through the air in irregular arcs, avoiding the blades of the metal orcs that tried to cut it and wrapping it around the legs of three of them.

He then pulled the whip to the side, using the bodies of the three bound orcs to smash into the others and send them flying.

For the ones on his right, he spun his body clockwise, redirecting the tornado and using its suction to drag them in, shredding them in the cosmic energy blender his whip had practically created, while the three on his left slammed into Orjool from the side, keeping the orc from immediately charging at him.

The horizontal tornado expanded as he spun while moving his right hand faster, and after completing a full revolution, he thrust his arm forward, sending the massive whirlwind forward and shredding everything in its path.

Orjool summoned several shields around himself to block the spiralling energy waves, but each one was destroyed as quickly as it appeared, the tornado tearing through them and hurling his body across the hall into the walls behind him.

Arthur used the moment to coat his arms and legs in a layer of cosmic energy, then infused divinity and anti-divinity into his knuckles as he kicked off the ground and dashed toward Orjool, who was struggling to get back to his feet.

He threw a punch, and Orjool quickly raised his left hand, using his great sword to block it, the divinity and anti-divinity in Arthur’s knuckles fusing and exploding with a burst that sent cracks spiderwebbing through the blade’s frame.

Arthur immediately unfurled his wings and flapped them to back away from Orjool’s right hook, while simultaneously conjuring a whip with his left hand and snaking it around Orjool’s right leg.

As he flew backwards, he pulled on the whip, dragging the former Orc Lord’s leg forward and throwing him off balance. Orjool tried to swing his great sword with his left hand to cut the whip, but Arthur abruptly shot upward, dragging Orjool off his feet and slamming his back onto the floor.

By the time Orjool’s back hit the ground, Arthur had already flapped his wings and dove downward, cosmic energy swirling around his right fist as it smashed into Orjool’s chest.

His punch struck Orjool’s chest plate, shattering it in a single blow and hitting the orc’s bare chest, but just as his fist cracked several ribs, a beam of creation law energy hit him from the left, sending his body flying through the air and crashing into the hall wall.

Arthur slammed into the wall with enough force to leave a humanoid-shaped imprint, however, he had to force himself to push through the pain as more metal orcs rose from the ground, nocking arrows of creation and earth law energies on their bows and firing them in rapid succession.

His left arm throbbed where he’d been hit, but all he could do was wrap it with divinity as metal orcs wielding swords charged, swinging their blades and unleashing projected slashes.

Arthur dodged the attacks, then leapt into the air, infusing divinity and anti-divinity into his right foot before spinning and launching a dropkick toward the coughing Orjool, still pressed against the wall he’d been slammed into.

[!!]

The orc sensed the danger, and even though he was coughing blood from Arthur’s punch that had cracked his ribs, he threw his massive body aside to avoid the kick.

Arthur’s heel struck the ground with enough raw force to distort space, the energies condensed in his leg erupting outward in roaring waves that swept across the ground, obliterating the metal orcs.

The blast also hit the unbalanced Orjool, knocking him to the ground, and as he tried to rise, Arthur dashed in beside him, kicked his hand to make him fall face down, then leapt into the air and conjured a whip.

Ecliptic Whirlwind: Overdraft!

Arthur wound his right arm, creating another tornado that lifted Orjool’s massive body with its immense suction, shredding the orc’s thick skin in the spiralling vortex.

Orjool tried to activate an Authority, but Arthur didn’t allow it, thrusting his hand downward and sending the spinning mass crashing to the ground, taking Orjool’s airborne body with it.

The orc slammed onto the ground with enough force to make his body bounce back up, and Arthur dove right after, dropkicking him in the back and smacking him face-down into the ground.

In the corner of his vision, Arthur spotted Orjool’s great sword falling and immediately used a whip to grab it, pulling it toward him and reaching out to grasp the blade with both hands. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

The moment he touched the centre of the sword’s blade, arcs of creation and cosmic energy lanced up his arm, the damage stemming from contact with the creation-law construct and the rebound from holding a weapon that wasn’t a ’Whip’ during a ’Whip Trial’.

Blood spurted from his arms, but he didn’t care as he lifted the sword and stabbed it down through Orjool’s back, its tip piercing the orc’s heart from behind and exiting through the front.

Arthur immediately released the blade, staggering back as he looked at his arms, scalded up to his elbows, breathing heavily as he stared down at the orc’s body beneath him.

Orjool was dead. That much he was certain of, as the door at the far end of the hall from where the gate he’d used to enter was had opened.

The godslayer looked down on his body, at all the deep cuts and wounds that weren’t going to heal anytime soon, silently clenching his fist.

He took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm his annoyance by recalling the faces of his loved ones, before stepping off the orc’s body and heading toward the door.

Right before he reached it, he froze, turning back to glance at the corpse and the great sword embedded in its chest, crumbling away into ambient energy, then stepped back, generated a whip, tied it around the corpse by the neck, and dragged it along as he passed through the door.
