Chapter 802: Mutual Destruction

Kalvaro regained his balance, immediately erupting with divinity as the ground beneath him crumbled, murky water bursting up from below the planet’s surface and coiling around him like a spring.

Flow Acceleration!

A different universal law was combined with time, and the swirling murky water shot forward as a pressurised torrent aimed at the airborne Arthur, who was descending with his blade mid-swing.

Suddenly, the layer of light encasing Arthur’s body changed colours, and both his eyes went from crimson to blue.

Aspect Manifestation: Time.

**WHOOSH!!!

By the time Kalvaro heard the sound of rushing wind from Arthur’s movements, the godslayer had already sliced through the coiling torrent and closed the distance, a distinct silver glow enveloping Lostvayne as he swung it toward Kalvaro’s neck.

’Authority of Force: Counterweight Field!!’

Kalvaro shaped his energy into a dome that generated a force equal to the one behind Arthur’s sword, but it only held the blade back for a second before the destruction energy tore through his Force Authority.

He bent backwards in that second, the blade grazing his lower jaw, but Arthur instantly reversed his grip, launching another lightning-quick slash aimed at his head.

In the corner of his eye, Kalvaro saw the blade cleave cleanly through a small stone between them, slicing through the air as it aimed to split his skull diagonally.

And in the instant before the blade reached him, the god ignited his divine spark.

’True Form: Release.’

**BOOOMM!!

Divinity exploded from his body with cataclysmic force, the shockwave flattening one side of the spherical planet.

Zone Deployment: Divine Hail.

The god’s voice echoed calmly as his erupting divinity rapidly compressed at multiple points, forming spears and spheres that shot forward at blinding speed, all targeting Arthur, who had been blown back by the divinity eruption.

Sensing the incoming barrage, the godslayer flipped through the air and landed on the deformed planetary surface, both eyes turning red as he deactivated his Temporal Aspect and infused his sword with anti-divinity.

Arthur’s hand blurred as he slashed with Lostvayne, summoning Celestia to assist him in cleaving through every single divinity spear or hailstone that came for him.

His pupils moved rapidly, eyes tracking each projectile, while his hands moved to intercept those on a direct collision course with him.

Kalvaro frowned at the sight, the god saturating the space around him with a mix of divinity and magic power, then bent the ambient cosmic energy to his will as he declared.

Domain Declaration!

"!—Lostvayne!"

Arthur tossed the sword from his right hand, the blade tearing through the air as it charged toward the god, slicing through all of his defensive barriers in an instant.

Kalvaro narrowly avoided the sword aimed at his face, but that moment spent dodging was enough for Arthur to infuse Celestia with both divinity and anti-divinity.

’Wait...divinity!?’

Kalvaro froze for a second, stunned by Arthur’s sudden reveal of divinity, but quickly regained focus and flooded the surrounding space with his power.

Throne of Permanence!!

Immediately, the space encompassing the entire planet began to transform, waves of divinity coursing over the surface and atmosphere, spreading outward from Kalvaro’s position.

Simultaneously, Arthur thrust his blade into the ground, his divinity and anti-divinity flooding the earth in a burst of power.

Extreme Nothingness Authority: Seismic Surge!

From the point of impact, a wave of purple-silver light erupted, surging outward with overwhelming force and colliding with the advancing wave of divinity and cosmic energy forming Kalvaro’s domain.

Lostvayne flew back toward him at that moment, and Arthur reached out, catching the sword with his right hand in a reverse grip before slamming it down into the ground and activating its Weapon Authority.

Soul-Devouring Oblivion!

Cosmic energy exploded from Lostvayne as its full power was unleashed, and as the blade pierced the earth, that power surged through the ground, tearing across the planet and fracturing the crust for miles around Arthur’s location.

The planet’s spatial fabric distorted before breaking apart entirely, and the resulting spatial rupture, combined with the ongoing seismic surge battling Kalvaro’s expanding wave of divinity, caused the god’s Domain Declaration to collapse.

The dark brown wave of divine energy shattered into countless pieces of fading light.

At the same time, Arthur’s seismic surge ceased, his divinity and anti-divinity reaching their absolute limits and depleting completely.

"....!"

Kalvaro had no words, only eyes wide in disbelief as the backlash from his shattered domain hit him, blood trickling from his nose as if he’d just been punched in the gut.

*CLICK!

His Authority instantly reset the damage, and he hastily summoned every ounce of divinity he could muster in that moment, as Arthur launched himself at the god, Lostvayne in hand, swinging the sword down in rapid succession.

Extinction Slash—a diagonal arc downward.

Extinction Slash—again, this time the same arc but in reverse.

Both thin, barely visible slashes of silver energy were evaded by the narrowest of margins, but in the time it took Kalvaro to dodge them, Arthur had already closed the gap, sword raised high.

Extreme Nothingness: Chaos!

Arthur unleashed a vertical slash that split the sky in a straight line as it came crashing down on Kalvaro, who met the attack with both fists wrapped in cosmic energy.

Temporal Permanence: Redaction!

The two forces collided with a shockwave that shook the planet to the core, the ground trembling as Arthur’s blade sliced right through Kalvaro’s right fist, carving through his arm all the way up to his shoulder.

Arthur immediately yanked his sword free from the god’s flesh, golden blood spraying as he slashed toward his neck, but Kalvaro’s left arm hit the side of the blade, redirecting the slash toward his right shoulder, where it tore through his clavicle, split his ribs, and cleaved down through his lungs.

’Extreme—!’

!!

’—Nothingness!’

Arthur reactivated the technique, even with the sword lodged in Kalvaro’s body, reversing his grip and swinging upward, aiming to cut through the god’s heart, but in that same instant, Kalvaro’s fist punched through Arthur’s stomach, puncturing a clean hole through his lower ribs, piercing his liver, kidney, and parts of his intestines.

Kalvaro’s fist burst out of Arthur’s back, and though he was wracked with pain from the sword still lodged in his own body, he twisted his arm, intending to pull it free.

But before he could, Celestia materialised on her own, cosmic energy erupting from her blade as she brought it down, severing his left hand before it could be withdrawn from Arthur’s torso.

Blood spilt from Arthur’s mouth, splashing onto Kalvaro, and through gritted teeth, he forced out a single command.

EXPLODE!

The cosmic energy in his blood responded to his will, igniting in a brilliant silver blast that rocked Kalvaro’s skull backwards and sent both men flying apart and crashing to the ground.

The earth beneath them began to rupture, magma boiling up through the fractured crust as the planet’s slow destruction began.

Arthur staggered backwards, nearly falling, but Celestia instantly angled herself right under his palm in the perfect position for his hand that fell to grab her hilt and keep him standing like a walking stick.

Just as that happened, Arthur’s senses picked up on multiple auras rushing in from various directions, alongside two voices shouting two words:

||Your Majesty!||

Other gods were coming closer. Kalvaro’s subordinates, who had been further out and had not been killed in the realm explosion, had finally located where they were fighting and had come to aid Kalvaro.

’Tsk...!’

Arthur grabbed Lostvayne, fully intending on finishing the wounded god whose arms had been completely rendered useless and whose right side had a massive slash tearing through it.

But before he could take that first step forward, Lostvayne abruptly transformed into her humanoid form, grabbing Arthur’s arms to stop him, and looking him right in the eyes, said.

[Master, no.]

Her left hand, which was grabbing the cosmic teleporter on Arthur’s hand, infused cosmic energy into it and activated it, creating a portal behind Arthur, which she pushed Arthur right through, grabbing Celestia and following in, the portal closing just a second before multiple spears of divine light struck down the spot where Arthur had been.

"Your Majesty!" the gods shouted as they descended, rushing towards Kalvaro and immediately activating various Authorities to begin healing him.

Kalvaro’s senses, however, didn’t even properly register them.

The only thing he saw was the dissipating cosmic energy at the spot where the portal Lostvayne had pushed Arthur through had been.

And right after the energy dissipated, his Galactic Ruler Authority did not detect Arthur’s existence in the galaxy anymore.
