Chapter 722: Planetenreich - Cosmos
"East! The red-head Flugel!"
[?!]
Bewússtsein was once again in shock.
How had Beatrix sensed him? He had used his cosmic energy and fate powers to block her from seeing him with her future sight, even within her Chrono Space Dominion.
But that was precisely why she had been able to detect him.
When he had used the destruction meteors to divert Alvey and McEnda’s attention so he could strike at Beatrix and Artemisia from behind, Beatrix hadn’t sensed him with her power.
However, when Alvey had destroyed all the walking dead—except for the hidden Corpse Puppet—she immediately noticed something strange. The puppet was a blank void in her Chrono Space Dominion.
Despite seeing it with her eyes, she couldn’t detect it with her skill.
Because of this, the moment she realized that one of the many walking dead surrounding them had suddenly become an empty ’void’ in her Dominion, she instantly knew something was wrong.
With that realization, she shifted her gaze, and in the brief window Bewússtsein needed to fully control the walking dead, she spotted him and called out.
McEnda, who was closest to the ’east’ she had mentioned, spun around and dashed to the right. His pupils darted around as he moved, and he quickly locked eyes with the winged red-haired Flugel.
Without hesitation, McEnda unleashed a full-power attack with his staff, shattering the Corpse Puppet’s defences before they could fully form.
The butt of his staff slammed into the flugel’s chest, and his power of darkness surged into the wound.
Even with his Existence Realm restricted, McEnda’s Darkness still carried the ability to corrode—not just the body, but the soul as well.
Bewússtsein’s soul fragment was immediately afflicted with this corrosion, weakening his control over the puppet.
And at that moment, Alvey descended from above, his sword cleaving through the Corpse Puppet at a speed over a thousand times faster than sound.
The combined power of his Authority and the Morphic Edge’s Cosmic Energy didn’t just destroy the Flugel Corpse Puppet, but also completely obliterated the soul fragment within it!
Naturally, the pain and damage from the destruction of Bewússtsein’s soul fragment reverberated across space, reaching all the way to his main body in the Core Dimension of the planet, where he was locked in battle against Arthur, Evan, and Jamie.
At that moment, Bewússtsein had just unleashed a powerful attack at Arthur and Evan, who were charging at him relentlessly, when the backlash struck.
[Gyarhh!!!]
He staggered, vomiting blood as his attack faltered.
The fusion of cosmic destruction energy and slaughter law energy destabilized, weakening the force behind it and creating an opening that Arthur and Evan seized without a split second’s hesitation.
|Extreme Nothingness!| |Prismatic Vortex!|
Their attacks erupted from their swords, carving through space and colliding with Bewússtsein’s power, overwhelming it and striking him head-on.
One erased his right pelvis and leg from existence, while the other instantly incinerated his left torso and arm.
The sheer force behind the attacks sent his body hurtling through the air in a parabolic arc before crashing into the ground with meteoric force.
Jamie, standing some distance behind the two, raised his sword to the sky and spoke.
Azure Void Authority: Black Star.
Powerful void energy condensed into a single point, breaking down the fabric of space-time before blooming into a dark singularity.
Evan’s eyes widened the moment he saw it.
"Is that a fucking black hole?! He should NOT have the power to create that right now."
"Yes, it’s a fucking black hole. Now let’s get out of here before he throws it!"
Arthur grabbed Evan by the collar and teleported them away just as Jamie hurled the Dark Star at Bewússtsein.
The singularity tore through space as it descended upon Bewússtsein, who had already summoned corpses from his stash, tearing them apart and using their limbs to replace the ones Arthur and Evan had destroyed.
He looked up to see the descending Dark Star, and immediately called upon the power of his Destruction Sigil.
[Zerstörerische Spirale!!!]
A spiral of destructive cosmic energy erupted from his outstretched palms, colliding with the Dark Star in a silent explosion.
Both attacks carved through the Core Dimension’s space-time fabric as they nullified each other, leaving behind nothing but a kilometre-wide black void where not even light could pass.
Bewússtsein immediately darted to his left, moving toward an area untouched by the void, where light still existed and he could physically see his opponents.
As soon as light entered his eyes, it revealed Evan standing with his sword raised high, a massive ball of swirling prismatic flames forming atop the blade.
Dawn’s Star!
Evan unleashed the fiery sphere toward Bewússtsein, forcing him to respond with a hurried counter.
[Elementare Katastrophe!]
The two forces clashed in a massive explosion of law energy, the impact hurling Bewússtsein several hundred meters back before he crashed into the ground.
He quickly rolled to his feet, only to stumble back down onto one knee just as fast.
Biting his lip, he wrestled with the dwindling cosmic energy coursing through his circuits, frustration evident in his expression.
Stomping his foot on the ground, he intended to release this power.
[Bounded Field—no... That Demon King would tear it apart before it can even manifest.]
Jamie’s constant interference had rendered his spatial abilities nearly useless from the very beginning, twisting and disrupting every attempt he made to use them.
But he had no alternatives left.
[As I am now, I can pull this off. No... I have to pull this off. That Demon King is weakened. He can’t stop this now.]
Bewússtsein lifted his gaze, watching as Arthur, Evan, and Jamie emerged from the swirling inferno left by the clash of Evan’s Dawn Star and his Elemental Cataclysm, their attacks closing in from all directions.
He took a deep breath, his lips parting as he uttered three words.
Domain Declaration: Planetenreich.
"?!"
"Fuck!"
"..."
Evan, Arthur, and Jamie reacted in their own ways the moment Bewússtsein spoke those words.
Cosmic energy erupted from Bewússtsein, surging outward in massive waves, instantly engulfing the entire Core Dimension.
Here, in his home ground, he could manifest such techniques effortlessly.
The fabric of the space around them shifted, carving out a boundary line that covered the whole Core Dimension.
Everything within that boundary blurred and distorted, vanishing into nothingness—only for new structures to rise in their place.
Buildings emerged from the ceiling, defying gravity as an entire upside-down continent formed in the vast, newly expanded space around them.
At this sight, Evan gritted his teeth.
’Ashen Dominion? No... It’s pointless. It’d be destroyed in an instant. And right now, I don’t have the power to Declare my previous life’s domain either.’
Arthur’s expression darkened, his fists clenching.
’My Hall of Fractured Time can’t withstand this. No chance. If I force it, the backlash could shatter my energy core.’
Jamie...said nothing.
He merely leapt back alongside the two boys, watching as the Domain formed around them.
’It’s quite good. If I let him complete the Declaration, we’re done for. Even with Arthur’s artifact.’
With a quiet sigh, Jamie lifted his hand.
’If I do this... forget a year, I doubt I’ll last another month.
But...I can’t let these young’uns die now, can I?’
The Domain continued to dominate the surrounding space, terraforming it into Bewússtsein’s kingdom.
And then, Jamie’s lips parted.
With a voice that echoed across space, not just in the Core Dimension but beyond, reaching even the Race Kings who had appeared outside Cruotis Prime, he uttered two words.
Domain Declaration
Everything stopped.
[?!]
The Declaration of Bewússtsein’s Planetenreich came to an abrupt halt.
An overwhelming surge of Authority flooded the space, seizing hold of every strand of ambient cosmic energy and bending it all to Jamie’s will.
The cosmic energy vibrated as Jamie drew it in, weaving space itself to delineate a boundary line around the planet.
Everything within the Boundary line instantly fell under Jamie’s control.
Bewússtsein’s Planetenreich collapsed instantly, overwhelmed by the far more powerful Declaration from Jamie.
There was no resistance.
Bewússtsein suddenly coughed up blood, his soul cracking under the backlash.
And then, the fabric of reality around everyone within this Solar System changed.
For a fleeting moment, both the light of the sun and every star in the sky vanished, plunging everything into an eerie darkness.
When light returned to their eyes, the scene around them expanded, as if the fabric of reality was zooming out from their viewpoint.
First, the planet receded to reveal the entire solar system, its star dimly glowing in the distance. Then, it zoomed out further, unveiling dozens of neighbouring solar systems, their stars flickering like distant embers.
But it didn’t stop there.
The vision continued to expand—faster, wider—revealing hundreds, then thousands, and then millions of stars. Galaxies unfurled into view, spirals of radiant light swirling against the endless abyss of dark matter.
Still, the perspective stretched outward. Galaxies blurred into clusters, then into superclusters, until it all panned out into a staggering spectacle.
A breath caught in everyone’s throats.
The sight was nothing short of surreal.
All around them were colossal, translucent bubbles—mostly circular and spherical in shape—each housing billions upon trillions of radiant stars and galaxies in every conceivable form, size, and colour.
Surrounding each bubble was an immense gas cloud, its hues reflecting the colours of the barriers enclosing the galaxies.
How many people could claim to have seen the shape of their own universe?
Few. Very few. Even on the grand scale of a universe, spanning hundreds of billions of light-years.
The perspective continued to expand further.
Then, at last, the vision expanded to reveal the true scope of Jamie’s Domain—not just one universe, but hundreds of them.
Universes layered upon universes, each a vast sphere of light cradling countless galaxies within its embrace. Each sphere surrounded by swirling cosmic energy mists contained countless galaxies—spirals of creation and destruction locked in an eternal waltz.
In the middle of this fantastical expanse, Jamie floated in the air with his hands crossed behind his back as he called out the name of his Domain.
