Chapter 614: Prime World Aidos [Monthly Bonus 2]

"Well, I think I can stop the Temporal Laws of the Universe, but the localized time laws on Aidos would still detect you, though they shouldn’t be able to cause any harm as far as you don’t get too close to anything that conflicts."

Evan blinked in silence for a moment, processing Jamie’s words before responding.

"Basically, I shouldn’t get close to any of the current Heroes of Aidos.

Because, as far as I know, my eyes are the only things that’d conflict. Maybe my sword and shield, as well."

He didn’t seem too sure about the other two, but his eyes were a given. The current ’Second Hero’ of Aidos possessed those same eyes and Hero Authority as well.

If he got close to any current Hero, they’d also sense him since Heroes could sense each other’s presence even at a distance.

"Yeah."

"If so, then let’s go. I want to see the current Aidos anyway."

Evan got up and tossed his now empty juice pack into the trash, before turning to Jamie who was their ride.

"Shall we?"

"Let’s bring Artemisia and Beatrix along. Maybe you two would stay with Beatrix while I go get the keys to the rift from Uvton and Rilene."

Jamie responded while activating his Authority and conjuring a Cosmic Gate leading directly into Artemisia and Beatrix’s suite in Tolgue City.

◇ ◇ ◇

Aidos and Gozon were on opposite sides of the Orithyia Galaxy, separated by a vast distance of over 200,000 light-years—far too much for a single spatial jump.

Jamie could have crossed it alone in one go, but with four mortals in tow, he had to make several stops, ensuring the pressure from the spatial tunnels didn’t overwhelm them.

After picking up the two girls from Aramis, Jamie informed McEnda II of his absence to avoid any search parties, and then opened a series of Cosmic Gates, leading them toward their destination.

Roughly half an hour later, the group of five exited the final gate, floating in space just outside the Omicron Star System.

Encased in Jamie’s Cosmic Energy bubble, they stared down at the system’s central star—an enormous, radiant sun—surrounded by planets emitting so much light and energy that it was impossible to miss.

"What the hell?! Aidos is Type II?!"

Evan’s voice rang out in shock as he gawked at the sight, eyes fixated not on the star itself, but on the massive structure surrounding it.

"Huh? Type II? What does that even mean?"

Arthur asked, curious but a little lost, and Evan, though still shocked, provided a short explanation.

"Back on Earth-V, we have this concept called the Kardashev Scale to rank civilizations.

Type I civilizations are supposedly able to access all the energy available on their planet and hypothetically, they should be able to control natural events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

But a Type II civilization? They can harness the energy of an entire star."

His gaze sharpened as he pointed.

"And unless I’m seeing things, isn’t that a Dyson Sphere wrapped around Aidos’s star?!"

From their vantage point, lightyears away, the entirety of the Star System could be seen.

As Evan had stated, there was a massive construct encircling the star which stood out, capturing an immense portion of the star’s solar energy and channelling it into massive conduits that stretched across the system.

Its reflective surfaces shimmered like a mini-sun.

"You guys call that a Dyson Sphere? That’s not what we call it back home, but I’ll admit, the name sounds cool."

Arthur casually commented on the construct around the star and Evan snapped his head toward him, an incredulous look on his face.

"You have one of those back home?"

Arthur gave a silent nod as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world and Evan didn’t even have the words to respond to the boy casually admitting his home planet back in the Hell Universe was a Type II civilization.

"Wow, I feel like I should’ve expected that."

Evan muttered, though the disbelief still lingered in his voice.

Orbiting the star were various gigantic space stations and wormholes that connected the various planets.

These wormholes pulsed with powerful spatial law energy, providing instant transportation across the vast distances between the planets.

But despite not being the largest planet in the system, it was impossible to mistake which planet was Aidos.

The powerful energy emissions they could both see and feel were enough to let even a first-time visitor like Arthur know which one was the Intergalactic Hegemon.

’For a planet, it’s not small. But it’s not as ridiculously large as Gozon is...’

Arthur thought to himself as he looked at the giant ball floating in space.

From what he knew, its surface area spanned around 5 billion square kilometres, split evenly between land and water.

Even from this distance, its atmosphere glowed with energy, while its enormous moon, with an area close to one-fifth of the planet’s, hovered nearby like a guardian.

Space stations clustered around the planet, a web of activity as spaceships docked with them. Some ships disappeared into the glowing wormholes, zipping across the system to other worlds.

"So...can we go down now? I wanna see my mum."

Beatrix broke the short silence that pervaded the area after Evan spoke, and all eyes turned to Jamie whose gaze was fixed on some distance away.

"Hmm? You guys done sightseeing?"

Jamie was distracted enough by whatever he was looking at that he hadn’t been paying attention to their conversation.

"Yeah. Please take us down."

Nodding lightly, Jamie glanced away for a moment before conjuring the Cosmic Gate that would take them directly into Aidos.

But the moment he did, his gaze snapped in the direction of the planet and he spoke with a wry smile.

"Well, they’ve noticed me already."

Sure, he was using Cosmic Energy, but he was still manipulating space, and as the home of the Main Entity governing Space in the Universe, there was no way there wouldn’t be means to detect spatial activity within their territory.

Jamie didn’t mind though. He created the Cosmic Gate and pulled the four of them through it, reappearing on the surface of the planet, right in front of an expansive garden with a huge palace looming in the distance.

"Stay here. Lemme deal with these guys."

With that, Jamie stepped back into the Cosmic Gate, vanishing without another word. Beatrix, however, wasted no time, leaping forward with a grin as she faced the others.

"Welcome to my House!"

"House?"

Evan raised a skeptical brow, his gaze shifting from her to the enormous palace towering behind her, then back again.

"House??"

"What? It’s a big house."

Beatrix shrugged casually and Arthur just chuckled at Evan’s expression, which read, "That’s definitely NOT a house."

But his amusement was short-lived as the space around them rippled and five figures appeared mere meters away from them.

Five women, each clad in immaculate maid uniforms, bowed gracefully before Beatrix, their voices filled with respect.

"Welcome Back, Young Mistress."

They turned toward Artemisia, offering a second greeting.

"Greetings, Lady Delgasso."

Artemisia acknowledged them with a silent nod while Beatrix jumped towards them with a smile on her face.

"I’m back!"

The woman in the centre caught Beatrix effortlessly but held her at arm’s length, thwarting Beatrix’s attempt to throw her arms around her for a hug.

Though Beatrix pouted, clearly dissatisfied, the woman remained unfazed, addressing her in a calm, measured tone.

"Young Mistress, how may we address your guests?"

Beatrix beamed at the maids, her mood switching back to upbeat in a split second.

"These are my friends, Arthur and Evan!"

The maids immediately chimed a greeting in unison, bowing slightly. The woman in the centre, however, regarded Arthur with a curious gaze, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as if trying to decipher a puzzle.

Beatrix acted oblivious to the scrutiny and shifted the woman’s attention to herself.

"Is my mother home?"

Hearing Beatrix’s inquiry, the woman turned her gaze to the white-haired teen and responded.

"Lady Rilene is currently unavailable. She’s away from the planet on official business."

At this news, Beatrix’s face fell, disappointment shadowing her features.

Just then, Artemisia, turned her gaze to the sky, catching sight of streaks of light that shot across the clear blue, parting clouds as they moved.

"Are those...?"

Evan began, his curiosity piqued and Artemisia responded before he could even finish the question.

"Race Kings reacting to Jamie’s sudden presence, yes."

A ’Demon King’ of Gozon showing up on Aidos was not something to be taken lightly at all.

Turning back to Beatrix, who still looked disheartened, Artemisia asked.

"Should we stay here?"

Beatrix pondered for a moment, placing a hand thoughtfully on her chin before shaking her head after finalizing her decision.

"Nahh. Let’s just go around. There are some places I haven’t visited in a while."

Her eyes lit up as she turned to Evan.

"Also, there’s this particular place that sells a lot of strawberry varieties—"

Before she could finish, Evan rushed toward her, his eyes glowing with excitement.

"What are you waiting for? Let’s go NOW! Strawberries are the number one priority in the Universe! Where are they!?"

Arthur couldn’t help but laugh at Evan’s exuberance, while Beatrix chuckled, the light-heartedness returning to her expression. She waved at the maids and asked.

"Can you beam us over to Epsilon?"

The head maid nodded and conjured a spatial gate before them.

Beatrix thanked her, grabbing Evan’s hand and pulling him through the portal with a grin. Artemisia and Arthur followed closely behind, and the portal closed after they entered.

Like so, the group of four’s tour of Aidos began.

◇ ◇ ◇

Meanwhile, Jamie was seated in the outdoor section of a restaurant, sipping a cup of tea while awaiting the god Kings who had reacted to his presence.

"Wow. I had enough time to order a cup of tea and even finish it halfway before you guys arrived. Calling you slow is an understatement."

The man remarked when he finally felt the presences of the god Kings, along with a few Spirit, Dragon and Elf Kings of Aidos’ Council of Kings enter the same space as him.

Multiple auras locked down on him, trying to keep him in place to prevent him from moving an inch, however, the man continued sipping his tea like he didn’t feel a thing.

When they finally set their eyes upon Jamie’s figure, they all reacted with shock.

"What the-!"

"Void King?!"

They’d moved the moment they sensed a ’Demon King’ enter their planet, but they didn’t know which one it was until they arrived and saw him with their eyes.

Immediately, the group of Kings all frowned deeply. Jamie wasn’t someone they could deal with, even if they combined their might.

Ignoring their obvious apprehension, Jamie fixed his tie which had shifted a bit and asked.

"Where’s Rilene? I can’t sense her."

The Race Kings didn’t answer him, remaining silent until one of the Dragons spoke.

"Why are you here, Void King?"

"That doesn’t answer my question now, does it?"

Jamie asked back, adding more sugar cubes into his cup before continuing.

"Just tell me where Rilene is. I have no business with any of you."

Before they could respond, however, a spatial gate opened up and a new figure emerged. The sight of this newcomer made the Race Kings all sigh with relief.

The man had deep black hair, sharp, angular features, a strong jawline and a gaze that seemed to pierce through everything with his golden-brown eyes.

Like Jamie, he wore a suit, along with a brown trench coat over it. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
