Chapter 567: New and Improved AGSD
The Demons noticed Arthur’s actions, especially since he killed a Transcendent right after entering and many were confused as they’d never seen any 3 Star General that looked as young as Arthur did.
But the Demon Generals, all of which had been briefed about Arthur’s presence were not surprised by his appearance, only the fact that he just one-shot a level 910.
The boy didn’t just go after Transcendents, he also assisted with lower ranked angels and divine humans as well.
His Pseudo-Authority of Destruction was active, and with it, he used ’Selective Destruction’ to make his attacks ignore everything ’demonic’ and only target everything ’divine’.
In the battlefield that was a cacophony of roars, clashes, and energy blasts, Arthur was a whirlwind of power that swept through.
’Extinction Slash.’
With Lostvayne in hand, Arthur unleashed an Extinction Slash, a thin silver horizontal arc that cut through multiple Divine Humans in a single strike, ending the lives of serval Level 700s.
He jumped over their falling corpses with his sword held overhead, bringing it down and unleashing the destruction energy that condensed around the blade upon a Divine Dragon spewing holy flames.
"Island Split."
**BOOMM!!!!
The dragon was blot out of the sky and crashed with earth-shattering force. The ground beneath him fractured and split, sending shockwaves that toppled combatants from both sides.
Still, as this dragon was a Transcendent, it didn’t die yet, so Arthur had to hit more times to finish the job.
His mouth opened and he unleashed a hyper beam of destruction energy that incinerated scores of divine humans on its path to hit the fallen dragon, turning them to ashes in an instant.
Still on this dragon, Arthur activated his ’Strength Enhancement’ that he stole from a certain unfortunate gorilla monster, before charging at the Dragon and amplifying gravity by 50 times on his fist.
The dragon noticed him and let out a thunderous roar that shook the very skies. Its massive chest heaved as it gathered energy for a breath attack, its throat glowing with an intense, fiery light.
A moment later, a torrent of searing plasma, crackling with divine energy, erupted from its maw, hurtling towards Arthur with terrifying speed.
In seconds, Arthur’s fist coated in dense gravitational law energy was colliding with the dragon’s breath in a cataclysmic clash.
***KAABOOOMM!!!
Arthur’s fist tore through the breath, and the collision between the dragon’s divine plasma and Arthur’s gravity-empowered strike created a shockwave that fractured space itself.
Cracks of cosmic energy from the vacuum of space splintered in through the air as the opposing forces struggled for dominance.
For a moment, it seemed as if the dragon’s breath might overpower Arthur, the searing plasma pushing back against his fist. But then, Arthur infused more anti-divinity into his fist, and his punch broke through the breath entirely.
The overwhelming gravitational power of his strike neutralized the attack, shattering the dragon’s energy into harmless fragments, yet the force of the collision sent both Arthur and the Dragon hurtling backwards.
Arthur skidded across the battlefield, his feet digging trenches into the ground as he struggled to regain his balance.
The dragon was also thrown back, its massive body slamming into the earth with a thunderous crash. Blood oozed from its wounds as it tried to rise, but Arthur’s still active Progenitor Authority was concentrated on it, preventing it from putting strength into its limbs.
Seizing the opportunity, a group of High-Rank demons charged in and assaulted the wounded dragon from all sides. Their attacks hammered down on the beast, momentarily keeping it at bay and buying Arthur the time he needed.
Arthur’s eyes glowed and he held out his hands, conjuring a swirling orb of gravity law energy. This was the first time he was using this technique since gaining his Pseudo-Authority, and he could already feel the increased potency.
’Damn, my Anti-Divinity is gonna take a massive hit from this.’
Still, Arthur did it anyway, as this Dragon was a massive hulk of Transcendental EXP for him. If he succeeded in dealing the final blow, then he could rest assured that his EXP until Level 933 was guaranteed!
As the dragon fought against six High-Rank demons on its own despite its injuries, Arthur conjured a singularity in his palm, with it growing denser with each passing second.
Sensing the danger, the Divine Humans who originally wanted to aid the dragon against the High-Rank demons turned their sights to Arthur and attacked him, intent on preventing him from completing what he was doing.
’Tsk...World, Slow Down!’
Arthur slowed time in a radius around himself, while he moved with normal speed. Stopping time would have been better, but the power of the singularity he was creating would break his own time stop and he’d receive backlash from it.
If he was going to receive backlash, he’d rather it be the lesser one that came from slowing time.
As space around the singularity twisted and contorted under the immense gravitational pull, drawing in everything nearby, the Divine Humans launched a barrage of holy and magic spells at Arthur.
**CRACK!
Arthur spat out blood as the singularity destroyed his time slow, but by then, it was already too late to stop it.
He held it up and allowed the completed singularity to drag in the attacks coming towards him with its dense gravity, tearing up the earth beneath him and drawing in magma from underground as well.
Their spells were sucked into the vortex, absorbed and nullified as if they had never existed. Almost a dozen Divine Human Sovereigns found themselves caught in the pull, their bodies helplessly drawn toward the singularity.
’It hit its limit already!?’
Arthur’s singularity had a maximum absorption limit, and within seconds of reaching that limit, it violently vomited out everything it had absorbed in the form of explosive destruction energy.
Since the Attacks it absorbed were those of Transcendents, it didn’t take 5 seconds to reach its limit and it was already threatening to blow up in his hands.
’No fucking way.’
Arthur doubted his body would still exist if he let that happen. His self-power resistance only applied to the destructive energy explosion, not the catastrophic breakdown of space-time that would happen after!
So, he quickly condensed the singularity into his palm, forcing his Pseudo-Authorities to their limit.
’I can’t teleport since the singularity is bending space. So, we move on foot!!!’
Arthur activated an instant summoning and called upon the Divine Dragon Romrintet from Aramis, ordering it to cover him as he accelerated his movements and zipped forward with blinding speed.
It only took an instant, but Arthur was up against Level 900s. They attacked several times in that instant and Romrintet was knocked down, half dead, after blocking 3 hits for Arthur.
Still, the dragon’s sacrifice allowed Arthur to reach the blind spot of the Transcendent Divine Dragon who was still up against the High-Rank demons.
"?!!"
The Divine Dragon noticed him and tried to swing its spiked tail, but a High-Ranked demon dashed in and blocked the tail with his body, allowing Arthur to drive his singularity-empowered fist into the dragon’s side.
Arthur’s movements were hypersonic, so any words he spoke wouldn’t reach the demons in time. However, they all sensed the danger and moved out the instant they caught sight of Arthur’s fist touching the dragon’s body.
***KAABOOOOOMM!!!!!
The singularity released its energy in a concentrated burst, erasing the dragon’s upper body from existence. Flesh, bone, and scales were disintegrated in an instant, leaving nothing but a void where the dragon’s torso had once been.
The shockwave from the impact was immense, radiating outward and knocking back the surrounding demons, who despite already expecting it, were still caught off guard by the sheer force.
The ground shattered, and magma spilt above. The entire battlefield trembled as the dragon’s remains crumbled to the ground, reduced to ashes and dust.
Arthur was blown back by this shockwave as well, crashing onto the ground and rag-dolling for several kilometres worth of distance before he finally crashed on a mountain and stopped.
"Gak..goho!"
Silver blood spilt from his lips and he breathed heavily, falling onto his knees with his entire right arm mangled.
[Master!]
Celestia’s worried voice reached him and Arthur ignored it, moving his left arm to his subspace where he brought out one of the healing flames his mother had made Creusery add to the Survival Kit she gave him.
His right arm was engulfed in the bright flames, and his wounds were burned away, healing him so smoothly that he didn’t need to do anything with time magic.
’Well, the gravity residues are so strong my time magic wouldn’t work.’
Arthur heaved an exhausted sigh, getting up to his feet just as several demonic energy signatures entered his perception.
The High-Rank demons on this battlefield rushed over, heaving sighs of relief when they saw the healing flames on Arthur’s hands.
The boy had just helped them kill a powerful divine dragon, plus he was a treasured asset of the DKs so they didn’t want him getting grievously wounded on their turf.
"So...I’m gonna leave the rest to you guys and head to another location."
With those words, Arthur broke space open and jumped into the cosmic gate, vanishing beyond it while the demons stared silently.
◇ ◇ ◇
"Ah! I forgot Rom!"
Arthur finally remembered the dragon he summoned and jumped back to the previous battlefield, retrieving the nearly dead Divine Dragon and giving him a healing flame before jumping back to the next location.
He looked to the side and saw giant weapons of blood raining down a barrage of destruction upon the humans.
Swords, spears, and axes materialized and plunged into the ranks of his enemies, each weapon exploding upon impact to maximize destruction.
"This is where I left Stelan, isn’t it? That means I’ve already checked this place ou-!!"
Arthur’s words cut off and he turned his gaze in a certain direction, his eyes widening when he saw the distortion in the cosmic energy flow.
’There! There’s DEFINITELY a Cosmic Artifact there! How did I miss it...? No, I didn’t miss it—It wasn’t there before!’
What were the odds of the cosmic artifact here being the Book of Truth Replica? Very High. Cosmic Artifacts weren’t things that popped up everywhere, at least not in Universes that were not filled with Cosmic Beings.
’But I found the Scales of Balance Replica on Aramis...
Come to think of it, that was also a ’Replica’. Did Cosmic Beings come over here and drop a bunch of Replica cosmic artifacts or something?’
Such a thought crossed Arthur’s mind as he used his concealment ring and the law of concealment to vanish from sight.
If the Book of Truth was here, then the High-Rank Angels here were definitely the strongest ones around. They had to be non-standards as well.
’Lostvayne, I’d be counting on you soon. Go and devour souls.’
