"Fuck, my legs!"
Those were Evan’s first words as he nearly fell to the floor right after emerging from the gate and appearing in an empty well-lit room.
Despite being given a little adaptation course on the moon, Evan still felt the effects of increased gravity and needed a few minutes to reorient himself.
So, he settled into a nearby chair, and at that moment, the world around them faded to monochrome.
"Arthur..."
All eyes turned towards Arthur and he shook his head with his hands raised, denying the silent allegations.
"I didn’t do this."
He pointed his hand at a spot behind the other four and continued.
"She did."
Everyone turned towards where he pointed, with the two Transcendents narrowing their eyes at the sudden sixth presence in the room that they didn’t notice until Arthur pointed out.
’Who is she and how did she get here?’
Such a thought crossed Alvey’s mind, and even more unsettling was that despite physically looking at ’her’, ’she’ didn’t seem to have a ’presence’.
His spatial energy moved and he tried to lock onto ’her’ but Arthur and Evan shouted out to stop him in that instant.
"|¬DON’T! !¬|"
Unfortunately, a bit of Alvey’s energy had already reached ’her’.
The good news, Alvey was able to finally lock onto ’her’. The bad news was that his mind was almost instantly overloaded by the influx of sensory information.
"Gugk!"
"Alvey?!"
He clutched his head in pain and dropped to his knees, while McEnda worriedly called out to him. However, despite being the indirect culprit for Alvey’s pain, the ’woman’ didn’t so much as spare him a glance.
’She’ was tall, with iridescent eyes and long black hair tied up in a simple ponytail, that shifted to grey halfway down—the kind people up there in age usually had.
’Her’ facial features were sharp, with high cheekbones, a straight narrow nose and thin lips pursed into a light frown.
’She’ wore a shimmering gown of obsidian black, with a delicate silver pendant around ’her’ neck, adding to ’her’ mysterious aura.
Thanks to Arthur and Evan’s warning, Alvey had cut off his energy flow after a second so he wasn’t hurt much, but that second was all he needed to know who...no what this ’woman’ was.
The reason why he didn’t initially perceive ’her’, was because ’her’ presence was so overwhelming that it eclipsed the range of what his perception could detect.
It filled his range entire range, so he thought there wasn’t anything since all presences usually occupied a portion of his range.
But when he tried to probe ’her’ with his power, he finally understood the true range of her presence. He perceived everything.
All 184.26 billion square kilometres of it.
Arthur’s next words confirmed the line of thought that bloomed in his mind at that moment.
"You’re ’Gozon’, aren’t you?"
"She definitely is."
Evan backed up Arthur’s words, his voice containing 100% certainty that the ’woman’ standing before them, was the planet they were on.
The ’Incarnation’ of the Prime World’s Consciousness.
Just like how ’Hell’ Arthur had met with in the past, ’she’ was a being who the concept of ’gender’ didn’t apply.
’Her’ true form was more of a mass of swirling lights and colours which was unsuitable for communicating with the sentient humanoids living on ’her’; thus, ’she’ took on a Humanoid Form.
The only reason why ’she’ looked like a ’woman’, was because ’she’ had taken on the appearance of the person who suggested ’she’ take on a Humanoid Form billions of years ago.
When Arthur called ’her’ by ’her’ name, ’her’ brows furrowed lightly and ’her’ frown deepened.
[A sudden surge of ambient Cosmic Energy and a great distortion of the Universal Law flow woke me up, and after tracing the source, I find two Grade fucking 7 Singularities!]
’She’ looked at Arthur and Evan as she spoke, and called them ’Grade 7 Singularities’.
Singularities had Grades, delineating how much they could bend laws and escape causality.
Lower Grades (1-3) made up 90% of the Singularities in existence and they only caused relatively minor disruptions. Make no mistake, they could still fuck shit up on a planetary scale with ease, but compared to higher grades, they were relatively minor.
Middle Grades (4-6) constituted the next 9%, demonstrating more significant disruptions. The final 1% comprised the Top Grades (Grade 7 and above? ...if there can be anything above.)
They all had ground-breaking abilities and skills, got stronger at speeds worthy of resentment and flouted level barriers as if they didn’t exist, achieving feats that defied logic and reason.
In the case of Top-Grade Singularities, their presence could lead to events and phenomena that bordered on the apocalyptic. Their potential for growth and disruption was virtually limitless, making them both incredibly powerful and exceedingly dangerous. Of course, they needed to get powerful for them to manifest the full extent of these destructive capabilities.
That was precisely what ’Gozon’, a Prime World Consciousness with billions of years of experience under ’her’ belt had called Arthur and Evan, so there was little doubt that ’she’ was wrong.
Another thing of note was that ’she’ did not like their presence one single bit.
’Come to think of it, ’Aidos’ also said ’she’ didn’t like my presence at first when I first got there. I guess hating foreign Irregulars/Singularities is something all Worlds share...’
Just as Evan thought this, ’Gozon’ who was focused on Arthur, spoke.
[What Universe birthed a Sub-Cosmic anomaly like you? Wherever it is, I’d like for you to go back there this very instant.]
Turning to Evan, she continued.
[And you...do me a favour and get back to your own time period and cause your chaos there.]
’She’ instantly discerned their true natures with a glance, and requested them to leave as politely as ’she’ could right now.
Alvey, McEnda and Sigesi were flummoxed by this situation. They knew Prime Worlds had consciousnesses, and they’d even encountered ’Aramis’ before.
But this was their first time seeing ’Gozon’, and ’her’ mood was even worse than how ’Aramis’ was when they encountered ’him’.
Still, they couldn’t just let ’her’ kick the two boys out.
"My Apologies, however, that would not be possible."
When McEnda spoke, ’she’ finally turned ’her’ gaze to him and for a moment, ’she’ looked confused. But in the next second, ’she’ accessed ’her’ own records and figured out who he was.
[Your Jack’s grandson?]
From ’her’ words, it was clear ’she’ was acquainted with McEnda’s grandfather.
"Yes. Unfortunately, both of them are guests of both my father and Demon King Westley. As such, they cannot leave even if you wanted them to."
[...]
’Gozon’ went silent for a second.
[Tsk...]
Then ’her’ irritated tongue-clicking sound echoed in the room.
[This is why I told your father and Valren not to let Westley in here! But NO! They didn’t listen and still did it anyway!]
’Gozon’ was incensed.
[I told them it wouldn’t end with just one Grade 7 from another Universe, but no, they still didn’t listen. Now look, he’s brought in two other Grade 7s as well!
Just perfect!!!]
After ’her’ rant, ’Gozon’ turned around and disappeared, causing the flow of time to return to normal.
’She’ was probably off to go complain to the two Demon Kings McEnda had namedropped.
Silence filled the room for a few seconds after he spoke, and Arthur finally broke that silence with a question.
"Is it me or did ’she’ just confirm that ’Demon King Westley’ is from another Universe?"
"Yep. She most definitely did."
She also confirmed that ’Demon King Westley’ was like Arthur and Evan, a Grade 7 too!
"From my knowledge, World Consciousnesses don’t like Singularities much. Even more so if they’re from other worlds.
I’ve had one consider yeeting me into space once."
Evan spoke of a past experience with a sigh, and Arthur followed up his words with a shrug.
"Well, looks like this one’s at least gonna tolerate us. Even though ’she’ clearly doesn’t want to."
Arthur quickly put the issue behind him and walked towards the door of the room while muttering things to himself.
"I wonder what ’Aeturn’ looks like. I’ve never met them..."
"Aeturn? That’s your home world, right? It’s a Prime World too?"
Evan questioned after overhearing his mutter, and Arthur shook his head in response to the last question.
"Aeturn left the ’Prime’ stage aeons ago. It’s an Apex World."
With those words, he opened the door and stepped out, entering a large hall with many similar doors dotting the walls and hundreds of Demons busily moving around.
They were either exiting the doors on the walls like he did, either alone or in groups or huddled together chatting and catching up with old friends. A few of them occasionally headed to the large semi-circular counter right in front of the doors which served as the exit for the hall, checking in with their seals before leaving.
The Insignia of the Gozonian Interstellar Empire—a horned head encircled with an elliptical ring of golden stars and crossed swords behind it—covered half the floor while the number ’47’ was inscribed right beside it.
Arthur studied the symbol in silence and as he stood there, some demons began to take notice of him.
The first thing that caught their attention was the two stars on his uniform, signifying he possessed a Major General Rank.
He was also visibly young, so they were shocked that someone who was still clearly a teenager had such a rank.
Then they noticed that despite scrutinizing him from head to toe multiple times over, they sensed not a single iota of energy from him.
Everything had energy, but some were skilled at controlling it without letting a single fluctuation out. Arthur had that level of control, but he wasn’t skilled enough to hide his existence realm from beings in the Deity Realm. The concealment ring, however, made it such that even the few Peak Ranked Demons in the hall could not tell his realm.
They also didn’t act like a certain High-Rank Demon who had tried to make trouble with Arthur before. The reason being that this was Gozon; the ambient energy concentration and gravity were high enough that if Arthur truly didn’t have any power like he appeared to, then he’d be dead.
This was a world where one had to be at least in the Silver Realm to even breathe properly, and that was because ’Gozon’ regulated energy concentrations not to kill off weaker people.
More and more people began to take note of Arthur, kinda hard not to considering he was just standing in the centre of the hall and was looking at the insignia on the floor.
"Is there anything off with it?"
Evan asked this as he came up to Arthur and the progenitor finally raised his head, allowing people to take in his full appearance and a lot of female demons and dark elves raised their brows in surprise.
Arthur was handsome, after all.
"Nah...I was trying to see if I could find out what Lucifer told me about, but I’m drawing blanks."
