Chapter 513: Chief Priest [Bonus!!!]
💃🏽🥳💃🏽
The Holy Knights’ black armours gleamed under the morning sunlight, and their weapons had silver markings adorning the blades and handles.
"Those markings are similar to the ones on Idrilla’s clothes..."
Idrilla had been channelling divinity from an external source, and the markings on her face and clothes had been what enabled her to do this.
These ’Holy Knights’ bore similar markings, and naturally, they could also channel divinity through these markings.
The question now, was where was this divinity coming from?
"OUTSIDERS WHO HAVE TRESPASSED INTO OUR HOLY LAND OF IKLAQUE! DIEEE!!"
The Axe-wielding Knight screamed out as he and the Sword wielder charged right at Arthur. The spear wielder dashed towards Evan while the bow wielder fired a barrage of arrows against Artemisia and Beatrix.
Normally, Arthur would have entertained them, but the boy wanted answers so he wasn’t going to waste time with these fools.
’The one who has the answers I truly want...he’s inside doing something.’
Arthur was sensing a fifth Level 700 who was still within the temple and there was a staggering amount of darkness energy building up around him.
Summoning Celestia, he raised it to block the axe wielder’s strike, before calling Lostvayne into his other hand and slicing through the Sword Knight’s sword.
"Τι;!"
The man switched back from the common Aramisian Language to Olympian in his shock, but Arthur didn’t give him any time to process what was happening.
He threw a kick that sent him flying into the bonfire, ignoring how many people died when he crashed into it and caused it to explode.
As the green flames spread around, Arthur turned to the Axe wielder and swung Lostvayne, prompting the man to dodge.
Suddenly, the world turned monochrome and Arthur let go of his blades, activating Gravitemporal Harmony’s Weighted Impact and setting the Gravity to X10.
He threw a punch at the man’s face, then his chest, stomach, knees, spun around him and threw two to each of his sides, before hitting the middle of his vertebrae.
Circling him once more, Arthur finished the combo with an Uppercut before unfreezing time.
When time resumed, the cumulative force of Arthur’s blows struck the man all at once. His armour shattered, flesh tore, and bones splintered under the relentless assault.
Blood sprayed in the air and Arthur stabbed his chest with Celestia, before dashing over to the Bow wielder who was fighting the two goddesses.
"Beatrix, finish him off."
He tossed the half-dead man at Beatrix as he said this, before charging right at the bow wielder who panicked and jumped away.
Seeing the body rolling in front of her, Beatrix was initially confused, but then she realised what Arthur was doing.
’These guys are Inferior Stages, they’re lower level than Arthur so he’s giving them to us so we can level up.’
With that realisation, she dashed towards the Axe Knight who was convulsing on the floor, activating her time bomb skill and forcing the orb of energy into his open mouth.
"MMMGHHH!!!"
She snapped it shut and punched his face down, before using Space Warp to get away. The Space Warp’s AOE damage triggered the Time Bomb she forced into his mouth and an eruption of Time energy blew the man’s brains to smithereens.
Meanwhile, Arthur used Chronospheres to halt the arrows sent towards him, turning around to face the Sword Knight who charged at him despite his body burning with green fire.
Celestia flew into his hands and he infused it with his silver aura, sending a full-powered Sword of Victory at the man.
The wave of aura hit the Sword Knight faster than he could react, sending his body flying into the distance.
He ignored it and turned around to the Bow Knight who charged at him with daggers, using gravity to blow her away.
"Αντιστροφή."
"?!"
The Bow Knight’s expression warped into one of shock when Arthur spoke their ’Holy Language’, but she didn’t have the time to pay it any mind as the command he gave sent all her arrows of death energy which were trapped in Chronospheres, flying back to her.
As she manoeuvred to dodge them with her exceptional agility, Arthur easily moved through the rain of arrows and punched her in the stomach, using enough force to send her flying into the Spear Knight Evan was fighting.
"What the—?"
Evan blinked in shock as his opponent was abruptly smacked out of sight, finally understanding how Arthur must have felt yesterday when Evan had done the same with Crarox.
Arthur leapt into the air, summoning his sword and intensifying the gravitational force around him. He plunged downward, aiming to stab the two knights who had unfortunately fallen on top of each other.
Sensing the imminent danger, the Spear Knight pushed the Bow Knight off and rolled away just a second before Arthur’s blade struck from above.
Arthur’s sword, augmented with the force of 15x gravity, plunged into the stomach of the Bow Knight, piercing through her and embedding deep into the ground.
The impact was catastrophic, causing half the hill they were on to crumble. Massive rocks and debris cascaded down, crushing buildings and people in the city below.
Although the Bow Knight was gravely wounded, Arthur had ensured that the blow was not fatal.
"Finish it, Evan."
Arthur spoke, withdrawing his sword and pursuing the Spear Knight.
Evan nodded with a wry smile as he stepped forward and swung his flaming blade down on the Bow Knight’s neck.
"No hard feelings."
After beheading the woman, he dashed forward to join Arthur who had just bashed the Spear Knight with a Sword of Victory.
The pillar of silver light surging from his sword sent the man flying into the air, where Arthur appeared behind him and followed up with a devastating punch of 10x gravity.
Evan darted in, using his Fracture skill to uppercut the knight, before spinning to generate momentum and landing five blows on the knight’s stomach with surgical precision.
The electric shocks tore through his armour and permeated through his body, leaving the man gasping for air.
Just as Evan’s last punch landed, Arthur’s sword pierced his chest from behind, and he slid the blade out instantly, leaving a gaping wound for Evan to exploit.
Evan’s sword found the same wound, and with a fierce command, flames ignited along the blade. The fire roared, consuming the Spear Knight from within. The man’s upper body exploded, leaving a bloody mess.
But by then, Arthur was already in front of the Sword Knight. He punched that one back into the city centre, pummelling him with relentless blows.
Each punch shattered armour and bones alike, reducing the man to a beaten heap. Arthur didn’t care as he punched the man through the city, destroying around a quarter of Iklaque.
The Warriors who had been left at the gate tried to intervene, but Arthur’s right eye glowed and he released a wave of his Pseudo-Authority-charged destruction energy, obliterating the grandmasters and inferior epics, deleting them from existence in an instant.
He dragged the half-dead Sword Knight to Artemisia, who unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts upon him.
The air crackled with electricity as Artemisia’s relentless attack pelted the Sword Knight, each bolt searing his flesh and sending violent spasms through his body.
She continued until notifications of level-ups flashed in her vision, signifying the man’s death.
When she turned around to thank Arthur for the help, the boy was already gone.
**BOOOMMM!!!
An explosion erupted atop the half-destroyed hill and when Artemisia got closer, she saw Arthur facing off against another Legendary Realm opponent.
Evan and Beatrix lay on the floor amidst ruins a few dozen metres away, and she rushed over to help them.
"What happened?"
"...That guy just appeared out of nowhere and whacked me with something. It was like he hit us with a combination of elements and next thing I knew, I was flying through buildings."
Beatrix replied as she tried to get to her feet, only to stagger and fall. When she looked down at her legs, she saw that there was a patch of black darkness energy rapidly spreading across her skin and devouring her divinity.
She tried to rewind it, but her time power was rebuffed by the stronger darkness law energy. And what’s more, she sensed Time power mixed in with it!
Evan was in a much better state, as his Adaptive Evolution had built resistance to darkness and curses, so he wasn’t infected as much as Beatrix was.
He also had his YELLOW flames of purification to help him, so with time he could hopefully purify the damage dealt to him.
***KABOOOMM!!!!
An explosion erupted in the centre of the city, and when they turned towards it, they saw Arthur floating in the air with Lostvayne drawn. Tendrils of silver light crackled down the blade and the boy’s eyes glowed as he faced the aged man wielding a staff—the one who had attacked Evan and Beatrix.
"Πως;! Πώς έχεις τη δύναμη του θεού μας;!" (How?! How do you have the power of our god?!)
"Γιατί το ’ΕΣΥ’ έχεις τα πυρά των Ολυμπιονικών;!" (Why do ’YOU’ have the fire of the Olympians?!)
The two spoke in Olympian as they fought, leaving the contents of their conversation a mystery to the others.
Arthur did not care about the city around him, but the old man was not as unbothered as he was.
This man—dressed in ornate priestly robes adorned with intricate silver markings—was the ’Chief Priest’ Idrilla had spoken about.
He had long, white hair signifying his age and he wielded a long staff of gold that shimmered with an otherworldly glow. His piercing eyes reflected a deep concern for the chaos unfolding around him and the citizens of Iklaque who had died due to Arthur’s lack of care for collateral damage.
He cursed as he fired beams of Death energy towards Arthur, but the Progenitor dodged them with ease and closed in on the man, releasing an Extinction slash.
Dodging it, the Chief Priest swung his staff and Arthur blocked with Lostvayne, surprising Lostvayne as the Sword itself never thought that staff would be able to resist its power, especially since Arthur was using Null!
[What is that thing made of?!]
