Chapter 506: Adversaries Unleashed

With a swift motion, Arthur swung Lostvayne, releasing a powerful slash that cleaved through the dragon’s breath, splitting it in two and almost bisecting the dragon itself.

The slash tore deep into the creature’s body, ripping off one of its wings in a spray of blood and scales.

Idrilla quickly ordered the dragon to descend so it did not meet death from Arthur’s second slash. Without hesitation, she activated Death’s Embrace and began healing it.

Arthur, however, wasn’t paying it any attention anymore.

He was immediately besieged by his numerous adversaries.

Wielding both Celestia and Lostvayne, he zapped through the battlefield at supersonic speed, each swing of his swords a deadly arc of destruction energy.

He infused his strikes with anti-divinity energy, splitting through the gods and the dark divinity that Idrilla used to boost their strengths.

Zach dashed and swung his blades to meet Arthur’s, using many runes to send all conceivable elements of magic flying at Arthur.

But all that magic was useless if they were stopped in time and never hit their targets.

Arthur circled the frozen spells and struck Zach with a fistful of gravity energy. The punch crushed his ribs, forcing the boy to spit out black blood.

Not even giving him a second to regain his bearings, Arthur recalled Celestia into his arm and infused cosmic energy into the blade.

With this, he unleashed a flurry of sword strikes, his blades a blur of silvery light. Zach activated many defensive runes in a bit to offset some of the damage, but defence meant nothing before Arthur’s destructive energy.

Even after he was reborn and granted more power, Zach was still no match for Arthur’s power and he fell quickly.

Maybe as a final act, Zach’s body exploded into a burst of dark divinity, however, the godslayer Arthur took zero damage and just stood there, watching as the residual energy that constituted the reborn Zach’s existence dissipated into nothing.

’...that’s different from before.’

Normally, the dissipating energy was reabsorbed into the ground and a new tombstone would form elsewhere, but that didn’t happen this time.

Nevertheless, Arthur didn’t have much time to ponder this as he was fighting the Southern Emperor of Phirex.

"Havoc!"

The man shouted out as he slammed his weapon into the ground, sending waves of aura surging towards Arthur.

In response, Arthur stomped his foot on the ground and replicated the man’s attack with destruction energy.

The result was an instant loss for Ursan, and while he was still reeling from the impact, Arthur slowed his movements in time.

He dashed forward and unleashed a devastating combo of Extinction Slashes, tearing Ursan to pieces.

Like with Zach, Ursan’s body exploded with a burst of divinity, while malignant death energy tried to infect him.

However, Arthur’s death law comprehensions protected him from the power of the death energy used by an existence without any comprehensions in the law.

’But it’s hard...just how high is her affinity that my 10% comprehensions are having a hard time against it?’

Perhaps Idrilla’s affinity with Death was as high as his affinity with Time and Destruction.

He remained still as he had that thought, and the unnamed Valkyrie demigod descended upon him with divine fury. Still, Arthur met her slash with one of his own, not even sparing her a glance as he focused on Kulir who tried to engulf him in a shadowy abyss.

Arthur countered by condensing a sphere of light with Anti-divinity, launching it as a beam from the tip of Lostvayne. It pierced through the darkness and the god’s shoulder in an instant, drawing gold-black blood.

While he did this, his right hand was still moving at supersonic speeds, countering each of the Valkyrie’s slashes. He imbued Celestia with more destruction energy, parrying her strikes and countering with precise stabs that pierced holes in her body.

Due to his godslayer nature and anti-divinity, they did not heal, even when Idrilla used Death’s Embrace.

Arthur took his gaze off Kulir as the Divine Humans from the Triton’s Ark charged at him while cursing, and he swept half of them away with a sword of victory.

He used Gravity law energy to blast the Valkyrie away, before letting go of Lostvayne. The sword hovered in the air, before dashing out and piercing through the bodies of gods and Divine Humans like, allowing Arthur to wield Celestia with two hands.

"Cataclysmic Divide."

The massive silver arc moved at relativistic speed, distorting space around it as it cleaved through the Valkyrie and everything behind her.

Idrilla felt her Bounded Field’s barrier creak under stress, but Arthur was just getting started.

The synergy between Mountain Split and Extinction Slash ruptured space, tearing a barrier in the Bounded Field and temporarily giving Arthur a view of the outside.

However, before he could throw out a Dimensional Anchor to pull himself out of it, Idrilla moved personally. She appeared through Arhtur’s shadow and forced him to turn around to block her scythe swing.

**CLANGG!!!

The ground beneath their feet shattered under the force of their clash and shockwaves rippled omnidirectionally.

"Oh wow, so that Scythe isn’t just for fancy."

"..."

Idrilla did not reply to Arthur as she commanded the demigods from the Planet of Lucifer’s Vestige to charge at him. She had only attacked to stop him from widening the tear in space and to give the Bounded Field enough time to auto-repair.

Now, she wanted to take distance by swarming Arthur with mobs, but a single Anti-Gravity field sent the mobs flying into the sky. He smashed them to the ground with enhanced gravity, charging forward to clash with her once more.

Idrilla proved to Arthur that her Scythe wasn’t just for fancy, but the self-taught woman’s skill level was incomparable to Arthur’s.

His relentless slashes created a whirlwind of destruction energy and anti-divinity that Idrilla could barely defend against.

She was only lasting this long in melee combat against Arthur since the boy wasn’t going all on her.

Suddenly, Arthur vanished from her field of view and Idrilla’s instincts warned her of ’DEATH’.

Without hesitation, she delved into her shadow to teleport away, but a spatial force pulled her out of the shadow and set her on track for Arthur’s incoming slash.

Left with no other choice, she could only raise her scythe to defend.

Merely a second before their weapons clashed, Evan’s loud voice boomed out.

"Idrilla!"

There was a compelling force in his voice that made her forcefully turn her head towards him. Her full awareness switched from Arthur to him, and that caused her handling of her Scythe to falter.

**SWISH!!

"AARRRHH!!"

Idrilla screamed out in pain as Arthur’s sword relieved her of her left arm with a violent spray of blood. His sword was about to come down on her once more, but the marking on her face shone with divine light, synchronising with the ones on her dress and releasing a burst of divinity that blew Arthur away.

’This...!’

Arthur instinctively realised that this particular Divinity was powerful enough to bypass his resistance and wound him so he used gravity law energy to create a multi-layered barrier above his body.

The force of energy slammed into him and he was sent flying dozens of metres into the air. Evan teleported behind him and raised his shield, shouting out to Arthur.

"Arthur, Boost!"

The Rogue Hero trusted in the Progenitor’s ability to regain his balance mid-air, and he wasn’t let down. Arthur used spatial power to reorient himself, landing with his feet on Evan’s shield,

Evan then pushed forward with all his might, serving as a springboard for Arthur to launch himself in the direction Idrilla tried to flee in.

"Island Split."

With a swing of Celestia, Arthur released a slash with the power to cleave an island in two, but Idrilla slammed the butt of her scythe into the ground, conjuring over a dozen walls of bones in an instant.

The Bone walls served as shields to reduce the force of his slash, so by the time it had cleaved through them all and reached her, Idrilla could block it with a single use of her Reaping Slash skill.

’It’s a good thing I have this divinity...’

Idrilla thought to herself as she manipulated her death energy, surprising Arthur by successfully forcing out the residual destruction energy in her severed arm in one go.

"...what?"

Arthur was even more dumbfounded when she picked up her severed arm and held it up to her shoulder, using Divinity to power a Black Magic spell.

"Black Magic: Corrupted Recovery."

Idrilla’s severed arm fused back to her body with a sickening squelch. Black tendrils of death energy twisted around the wound, knitting the flesh together in a grotesque display of divinity.

The arm twitched and convulsed, the skin bubbling and pulsing before finally settling into place. Idrilla flexed her fingers to confirm their mobility before looking up at the two boys.

"...It seems quantity wouldn’t do the trick against you two."

"You should have realised it from the get-go."

Evan replied to Idrilla as he stepped forth, the ground beneath his feet freezing solid and creating ice patches on the floor. It was a stark contrast as his both arms were engulfed in orange flames.

"I really should have.

But I’d have to trouble you with more quantity...quality takes time to prepare."

Idrilla spoke as she spun her scythe behind her back and ’sliced the air open’. From the tear in the air, liquified death energy mixed with divinity spilt out, surging like an ocean wave and covering everywhere with darkness.

The two boys jumped back to avoid being devoured by this liquid death energy when a loud voice filled with rage boomed out.

[EVAN ERIS!!!!!!!]

"?!"

Evan looked up and his eyes widened in shock at the sight he saw. Riding the waves of surging liquid death, was the figure of a man.

He had a slender body, with long neatly done black hair kept up with intricate white headpieces that contrasted his black clothes, along with a pair of cat-like opal eyes.

His melancholic face, was one Evan would never forget.

"DOMNIK FUCKING VELAK!!"

The ’Necromancer of Disaster’ from Evan’s home world 10,000 years in the future. An ’Executive’ of a certain Organization trying to let invaders into his world.

Someone, who was definitely a ’Notable Adversary’.

There was a flash of black light and someone flew up from the pool of liquid energy. It was a demon with messy dark brown hair, and seeing him, Evan called out his name.

"Zacular!"

The man Evan called Dominik Velak rushed forward, his full power on display as he slammed his foot on the ground and called out.

"Domain of Death!"

"What the-?! A Bounded Field, within another Bounded Field?!"
