Chapter 504: Nemeses Reborn

Evan’s expression turned difficult as he held up his hand and waved at the White Dragon.

"Hello there, Faldo. Been a while, hasn’t it?"

The Dragon—Faldo—ignored Evan’s greeting and roared aloud, releasing waves of dragon fear. However, this had zero effect on all of them present.

"I’m surprised, Evan. To think you were from the future..."

Idrilla expressed her surprise about Evan’s situation, clicking her tongue internally as her Bounded Field had drawn upon a lot of power to resurrect his ’Adversaries’ from the future.

"Every single tombstone in this Graveyard represents an Adversary you have killed. Some particular Notable Adversaries can be resurrected with more pow-"

|¬Stop¬|

Arthur suddenly cut Idrilla off, his eyes narrowing at her as he questioned the woman.

"Why?

Why are you so easily explaining your Bounded Field’s ability to us?"

The Progenitor found it strange. Would it not be better for her to keep the secrets of her Bounded Field to herself?

But she was quick to explain how it worked and even started telling them about extra features like ’Notable Adversaries’ and the like without them asking.

In response, Idrilla sighed, realising that she had been seen through. As such, she came clean. The woman held up her fair palm with its back facing them.

Slowly turning around to face them, she spoke.

"Revealing One’s Hand.

A Binding Vow used by Curse Sorcerers, that increases the user’s energy output, efficiency, quality, and overall power in exchange for vocally divulging how their ’Technique’ functions."

She calmly disseminated this information, even as multiple Adversaries continued to emerge from the tombstones all around them.

"What I need now against you, are increased output, efficiency and not overall power, but enhanced attack potency.

Enough Attack Potency to bypass those durabilites of yours.

While you may be able to kill them with ease if your attacks hit, you wouldn’t want theirs touching you either.

But would their numbers...I wonder if you’d be able to manage that?"

The moment she spoke, the White Dragon who had been glaring at Evan in silence all this while began condensing power in its maw.

A layer of light covered Idrilla and a cloak manifested and draped itself on her shoulders. Her slender arms stretched out and condensed a Scythe of Death energy that had the ability to reap souls, while an aged Grimoire appeared and hovered in front of her, its pages flapping rapidly.

"Try not to die."

She delivered these words with a business smile and the energy of the white dragon Faldo peaked, instantly being released from its maw as a torrent of white flames that wanted to burn the world.

Without hesitation, the four of them dodged in different directions and the torrent hit the ground where they stood mere seconds ago.

**KAABOOOMM!!!!!

The explosion was deafening, sending a colossal shockwave rippling outward. The ground splintered, jagged shards of black sand and stone flying in all directions.

A blinding flash of white light consumed the area, and the roar of the inferno drowned out all other sounds.

When the flames settled, a massive smouldering crater remained, its edges glowing with residual heat, and the surrounding tombstones were charred and crumbling.

"The fuck?! Faldo was NOT this powerful!!"

Evan screamed as he dodged the frenzied attacks of the resurrected demons charging at him with reckless abandon.

"Did I not tell you I was enhancing their Attack Potency?

I can also use my skill ’Death’s Embrace’ and my ’Undead Regeneration’ technique to heal the damage you deal to them.

Also, my ’Dark Empowerment’ skill enhances them too."

Idrilla questioned him with a raised brow, spinning her scythe and pointing it forward as she unleashed a series of skills and spells.

Dark Empowerment to enhance the strength and speed of her Reborn Adversaries. She followed this with Deathly Aura, causing them to emit a weakening, life-draining field. Spirit Barrier gave them extra defences, utilizing the souls harvested with Soul Harvest.

Idrilla then employed Unholy Resurrection, calling forth the corpses of other Outsiders she had slain over the years, their souls bound to serve her indefinitely through Eternal Servitude.

With another spin of her scythe, she cast Necrotic Surge, further enhancing the combat abilities of the Undead.

This move also served as a command, sending thousands of undead and Reborn Adversaries charging forth, eyes blazing with maddened light, to besiege the four teenagers.

Arthur found himself facing hundreds of monsters of different shapes and sizes. The proof of the battles he had fought and won over his 17 years of life.

Among them were thousands of Aramisian soldiers, their faces twisted in deathly fury, whom he had slain during his six months on this Prime World.

His sword thrummed with destruction energy and he released a Mountain Split, obliterating the first wave of monsters into dark mist.

With a thought, he manipulated gravity to crush several hundred monsters into giant balls of flesh and blood in the air, which quickly dissolved into dark mist.

He teleported around the battlefield, each move precise and lethal.

A sidekick shattered a god’s spine, an upward slash cleaved an undead soldier, and a downward thrust impaled a ghoul.

His destruction law energy occasionally released pulses of erasing energy, disintegrating clusters of the Reborn Adversaries.

But despite Arthur blasting them apart in droves, they seemed endless, their numbers replenishing as quickly as he cut them down.

Arthur had lost count of the countless monsters he had slain, let alone the thousands of Aramisian soldiers he had sent to early graves since arriving.

Seeking a new approach, he expanded his spatial perception to gauge the maximum range of Idrilla’s Bounded Field. However, his expression quickly turned difficult when he realised how far it spanned.

’The level of spatial expansion is wild!!

I’ve scanned 15 kilometres and it keeps on going!’

Arthur retracted his energy, wondering if Idrilla had cast a ’Domain Declaration’ and not a ’Bounded Field’. Bounded Fields being this big was abnormal, after all.

[EVAN!!!!]

He heard another scream of rage boom out and turned to see a woman with hazel eyes and chestnut-coloured hair wielding two staves that emanated eerie energy.

She attacked Evan with them and the boy used his Blink skill to dodge, before reappearing behind her and sending a kick to her side.

The force sent her flying but she flipped around and landed on her feet, slamming the staves on the ground.

To Arthur’s surprise, the ground her staves came in contact with instantly turned from sand to stone.

Everywhere within a five-metre radius of her feet was turned to stone in the short second she took to charge back at Evan, swinging her staves with practised skill.

Her strikes focused more on speed than strength, which was not surprising as if what had just happened was anything to go by, then a mere touch would petrify a good portion of Evan’s body.

Just as he was sinking into his thoughts, he suddenly sensed ’Danger’ and teleported away, right before the giant maws of the White Dragon Evan called Faldo appeared behind him and clamped shut on the space he was standing on.

’Was that a concealment skill? It felt like that skill Evan used when he first came to this world.

Come to think of it, Evan’s dragon wings are also white...’

His brain started spotting similarities here and there, but he quickly held himself back since this was not the time.

’Whatever skill it is, I don’t want it around...’

Arthur decided to kill the dragon, firing an energy blast to blow off the head of the random god who charged at him before throwing a punch infused with his gravity law energy towards the dragon.

"Faldo has Annihilation Law essence! His Unique Skills! Be careful!!"

Evan shouted out a warning, but Arthur just snorted, pouring more anti-divinity into his fist.

No way that the bootleg Annihilation law energy that the dragon possessed could ever harm him.

He proved this right in the next moment as his gravity-enhanced punch crashed into the dragon’s skull faster than it could react.

The force of the blow sent shockwaves through its body, but before they could spread fully, Arthur teleported to the side and delivered a powerful sidekick, sending the beast reeling.

He then appeared below it, launching an uppercut that shattered its jaw.

Finally, he teleported above and delivered a crushing punch to its skull, shattering scales, rending flesh, and spilling blood.

The dragon died in just four hits, its body dissolving into a black mist of death energy.

Just as Arthur landed on the floor after ending the dragon, a winged Valkyrie wielding a sword of blue divinity charged at Arthur from behind. She raised her weapon overhead and swung it down intending to cleave Arthur in two, but before the boy even spared her a glance, Evan appeared and grabbed the Valkyrie by her wings.

He used brute strength to rip off her left wing, before grabbing her right wing and using it to fling her body into the air.

Turning to Arthur, he held up his sword and let the Valkyrie’s body fall right atop it, impaling her atop the glowing energy blade.

"You made short work of Faldo.

And here I nearly died against him."

Evan shook his head with a depreciating look on his face, while Arthur laughed and pointed at the dead Valkyrie.

"I still remember this particular Valkyrie. She’s the first demigod I used my Progenitor godslayer Authority on.

If it wasn’t for my time magic, I would not have been able to reverse the self-damage I took in that fight."

These were past opponents that the two boys had faced and prevailed after hard-fought battles, but with their current strengths, these opponents posed no stress to them.

The real problem...was their numbers.

Even as they spoke, Arthur and Evan were continuously releasing bursts of energy that both burned and crushed the thousands of monsters and Aramisian Divine Humans charging at them with reckless abandon.

Turning in the direction of Artemisia and Beatrix, they saw that the girls were dealing with their own droves of opponents that were seemingly never-ending.

"Let’s go help them out, shall we?"

"Yeah, let’s."

With their decision made, Arthur focused his energy and unleashed a Gravitational Maelstrom.

A vortex of immense force formed to the east, drawing in thousands of Reborn Adversaries and Idrilla’s undead servants. The gravitational pull was so intense that enemies were dragged toward a central point, colliding with devastating impact, their bodies crushing into a mass of flesh and bone that quickly disintegrated into energy.

Meanwhile, Evan turned west and silently activated his Vindiction’s Strike skill.
