Chapter 434: Fated Reunion I
"You should have at least waited for us to get here before you did anything, McEnda."
"Come one, Westley. The kid annoys me to hell and back but he’s still my son, so why would I sit back and watch some idiots plan to kill him?"
"I agree with him. That fool suggested killing the person my beloved granddaughter likes...if he didn’t kill the idiot, I would have done it myself."
Hearing the words of Demon Kings McEnda and Valren respectively, Westley only smiled wryly and shook his head.
Despite this nonchalant conversation, the auras the three men exuded were enough to make the weaker gods quake in their boots, instinctively telling them that if they made one wrong move, they were done for.
The god Kings didn’t just sit back, and they immediately geared up for a fight.
With the auras of the two parties clashing with one another, the Dimensional Realm could barely withstand it and began trembling uncontrollably. Cracks spread out in the space and one could see peeks of the darkness of the void from beyond these cracks.
"All, right. Let’s tone it down."
Westley clapped his palm and sent out a pulse of spatial law energy that repulsed the auras of the gods and sent it back to them. Being hit with their own power, some of the god Kings nearly fell onto their seats behind them while the Demon Kings who were aware of what he intended to do had wisely retracted their energy before he could do so.
This little display had made it clearly obvious who the strongest person here was.
"You god Kings were the ones to propose the condition restricting Higher existences from interfering directly, were you not?
Yet here I am, hearing about a plan by a Higher Existence to take out certain lower existences. I can’t help but think that this is a plan to violate this agreement."
He had not done anything and yet McEnda II killed him! This is an in-
"You had zero intentions of stopping him. I’m sure you all were going to try and conceal the fact that he was going to interfere. Just like you did when Alvey and Duskhand fought years ago."
...
The god Kings controlled their surprise upon hearing Westley’s words, but the man gave them a knowing glance.
"We’ve known all this while. We’ve also known about your involvement in the creation of those Fake Divine Humans and Elves.
Now, we’ve come to warn you."
His voice had a calming effect on one’s mind, but one could not afford that calm when seeing the spatial distortions he caused with his mere presence.
Even McEnda II silently stepped away from him, and this little action was one that hinted that just like the god Kings, the Demon Kings were also wary of Westley.
People did not know this but despite being called a ’Demon King’, this silver-haired man was not even a Demon in the first place.
No one knew what race he was, because he had never been pushed to the point where he had to use his innate racial powers, and had dominated with just his Spatial Abilities alone.
"My presence here is honestly more for your safety, than anything else. If you’d gone ahead with that plan, then I can guarantee the end result would not be pretty.
Besides, I’m sure you lot have already figured out who that boy you call ’Silver Demon Summoner’ is.
(Damn, that title is a mouthful. Such horrible naming sense.)."
The god Kings heard his mutter but chose to ignore it in favour of the earlier part of Westley’s statement.
"Has it been that long since you last saw Lostvayne and you have now forgotten who owns that Rule Breaker?"
Morningstar.
"Glad to see you’ve not gone senile. Anyway, I’ve said my piece. We’re done here.
Please, for your own sake. Don’t do anything stupid."
After concluding his statement, the other Demon Kings threw in their own not-so-little warnings and then Westley clapped his hands and warped them all out of the area.

Mercenary Guild Headquarters
Tolgue City

December 19th
530th Divine Year
’The people of this Universe have an Overreliance on the Devour Class System.’
Such was the thought that passed through Arthur’s mind as he laughed and made merry with a few Mercenaries he had come to know over the past week.
’It’s so convenient that they rely on it way too much. They don’t even realise it because the system is something that they consider ’Normal’. Advancing their Existence Realm without it is a foreign concept to them.
They know it’s possible but they think it slow and inefficient...can’t blame them, though.’
After extensive observation of this planet’s inhabitants, he arrived at this conclusion. Heaving a light sigh, downed the contents of his beer jug, earning him cheers from the Mercenaries on the table.
Understanding why he was in the Mercenary Guild, required one to know about his adventures in the 9 days.
Arthur had left Torten after another spar with Sigesi, heading straight for Tolgue. He checked into the Noble Baron Hotel again and then began wandering the city streets.
With this little trip of his, he confirmed that the Aramisians were indeed unaware of what he looked like, further confirming that Lostvayne had indeed wrecked the soul of the surviving god in Duskhand to the point where the man’s memories were damaged.
With that out of the way, he then decided to create an identity for himself; one he’d use in Aramisian territories.
’Maybe I shouldn’t have thrown away the Soldier identity so easily...oh well, that’s in the past.’
Arthur wasn’t one to dwell on the past too much so he put it at the back of his mind and searched for a different option.
The Mercenary Guild proved to be the best option.
It was for Aramisians who wanted to fight against the demons while not being constrained by the Army.
’Perfect!’—was Arthur’s thought after discovering this organisation’s existence.
He made up a little story about being an escapee from Guwos, a continent that had been captured by the Demons.
Thanks to how much Aramisians exalted Divinity wielders, he only needed to show them a little trick and they tossed his fake backstory to the back of their minds.
’Since I went with Intermediate Master before, I’d go with Intermediate Grandmaster this time.’
Going with such a simple reason, Arthur adjusted his concealment and displayed that level of power, earning him an A-Tier Mercenary Ranking.
It seemed that they just used the Stat Ranks to make things simple, and as Most Intermediate Grandmasters had A-rank stats, he was considered an A-Tier.
Like always, he didn’t bother using a fake name and just went with his real one.
After registering, he went on missions with a Mercenary team that was looking for a new member since one of their old members died.
The abilities he used were the same ones he used during his time in Duskhand, Gravity and Fire Manipulation.
He also showcased a bit of healing with his Divinity and this made his approval rating skyrocket.
Thus, we arrive at the current situation, where he is now with the Mercenary team, celebrating the success of their fourth mission together.
All of the Mercenaries in his team were A Tier at least, with two S Tiers. For their level, where were a fairly competent party but unfortunately, a mission where they had encountered Sigesi’s forces had caused them to lose a member.
"Drink up! Drink up!!"
Arthur was snapped out of his thoughts when the Mercenaries raised their glasses for a toast. The Alcohol did not affect him much due to how strong he actually was, so he saw no harm in drinking as much as they did.
The Guild Doors opened and a group of soldiers walked in, headed to the counter and they were immediately crowded by Mercenaries who wanted to see what Missions the soldiers were gonna post next.
Since Arthur’s team wanted to take a break, they didn’t join the others, remaining in their seats and continuing their drinking party.
"Still, to think you’re so good at holding your liquor! Looking at you, one wouldn’t expect it at all!!"
"Even your strength too! You were able to hold your own against that mid-ranked Demon. You’re much stronger than your level indicates."
Hearing their words, Arthur took a sip of his beer before shrugging his shoulders and replying.
"What can I say? I’m pretty good at concealing stuff."
"Hahaha!! Indeed, you are!"
Just as Arthur was about to order another beer from the counter, he heard a clear voice call out his name.
"...Arthur...?"
"Hmm?"
When the boy turned around, his eyes widened in shock as the figure that appeared before him was one he didn’t think he’d see here.
’I knew there was a chance since I’m in Githal, but what are the odds?’
It was a girl with long brown hair that had a hint of soft waves, dressed in the Aramisian Coalition Army uniform.
Her widened brown eyes reflected her shock, evident to all who saw her.
Time seemed to freeze momentarily, but the illusion shattered as Arthur’s wry smile broke through, accompanied by a calm greeting.
"Hello there. Been a while, hasn’t it, Rachel?"
