Chapter 391: Put my Middle Finger Up!

The god screamed in pain as he was forcefully ejected from the body he had tried possessing, and actually had a bit of the soul fragment he had used to create this avatar of light damaged by Null’s power.

|You! You’d regret this!!|

"Damn, he even used a third-rate villain line...I rate this movie 3/10."

Arthur commented in a not-so-quiet voice, making the face of the Avatar contort lightly before it was forcefully returned through the path it had descended from.

Silence pervaded the area and Arthur heaved a sigh of relief, thankful that his godslayer attribute had damaged that god’s body to the extent where the Demigod realm existence needed a few extra seconds to heal and adjust to it.

"Now then..."

"There’s still one more, right?"

The two godslayers turned their gazes around, locking eyes with the third of the god trio who had his arm lopped off by Arthur’s extinction slash earlier.

After seeing them stop the descent of a Half-Deity realm existence, he wasn’t crazy enough to stay back and was already running away.

Unfortunately, they turned towards him at the same moment he was about to rip a hole in the Inner city’s barrier.

’Fuck!’

Without hesitation, he channelled his remained divinity and blasted a hole in the barrier, before turning around and jumping through it. He then proceeded to fly out of the area as fast as possible, however, he was not fast enough to escape Arthur’s ’javelin throw’.

"It’s more apt to call it a Sword Throw, though?"

The boy casually commented as he threw Lostvayne in the escaping god’s direction like a javelin, with the sword drawing a parabolic arc through the air before piercing into the back of the escaping god.

The man crashed to the ground and tumbled multiple times over, crashing through multiple buildings in the outer city.

It was quite a scene for the Outer City inhabitants, seeing a god escaping from a ’demon’ only to be attacked from behind with a sword that gave them chills just by looking at it.

Stelan motioned to chase after the man, but Arthur held up his hand to stop the other godslayer, before summoning Lostvayne back into his hand.

"Let him go..."

Just as Arthur said that, the god activated the artifact he had pulled out while flying away, causing his body to be wreathed in spatial light and warped out of Duskhand.

"Why did you let him escape?"

In response to Stelan’s question, Arthur used a cloth rag to wipe the golden blood off Lostvayne as he replied.

"I’m using him to run a test."

"At test?"

"Yeah. I want him to spread information about my presence and my abilities. I’m running a little test concerning Universal Influence."

It was a last-minute decision that Arthur had made, to use this guy to begin the Universal Influence experiments he had planned earlier. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"Universal influence?"

"Yes. The thing that pretty much every well-known powerful existence possesses, that allows them to have effects on the behaviours of people who know of them.

Whether you make them fear you, admire you, love you or hate you, all of that contributes to your universal influence.

It’s very useful in accumulating Fate Lines, Karma Threads and Destiny Clouds...stuff you need when comprehending the law of Fate, Karma and Destiny."

Arthur was very curious to see how his fate law comprehensions would fare after his actions which had undoubtedly affected the Fates of millions of beings.

"Comprehending laws?"

Stelan pondered Arthur’s words for a moment, thinking back to the previous battles where Arthur had utilized Pseudo Authorities.

’Could they have been from law comprehensions? But that doesn’t make sense, he’s not a Transcendent...’

"In my home Universe, I’m Royalty. Universal Royalty.

The status I had from birth granted me an absurd amount of Universal Influence. When I checked with the power of the law of fate, I could not discern which part of said Influence came from my status and which part came as a result of my actions over the past 17 years.

So I wanted to run a little test in this Universe, where I have a clean slate."

Arthur explained his reasoning for his actions, only to sigh heavily as he realised how difficult that’d be.

"Doing things on one planet wouldn’t be enough to give me as much ’Universal’ Influence as I want. I need to get my name out in the Interstellar Stage somehow in order to maximize the eff-!"

Mid-speech, he suddenly realised something and turned around to look at the corpse of the Sovereign whose torso he and Stelan split into three pieces.

"The god who tried to possess that guy...where the heck did he come from?"

"...come to think of it, his descent was very random."

Arthur nodded in affirmation, believing that the Half-Deity certainly wasn’t someone based here in Duskhand. Just when he was thinking about where he came from and why he suddenly remembered what Rachel had told him some time ago.

Looking up to the night sky, he called out the name of the planet’s natural satellite.

"The Moon..."

He infused cosmic energy into his eyes but his realm of existence was simply too low for him to be able to see what was on the moon from the planet.

’But if that guy really came from the moon...’

Arthur had an idea on what to do for now in that case, turning towards Stelan and asking him a question.

"What does giving someone the middle finger mean in this Universe?"

"Obviously that they should go ’Fuck Themselves’."

"Good...that’s still the same."

After receiving confirmation, Arthur raised up his middle finger to the sky, stabbing Lostvayne into the ground before raising his other middle finger at the sky.

"...what are you doing?"

"Nothing."

The boy calmly claimed to be doing ’Nothing’, after telling a congregation of gods who were currently watching Duskhand to go and Intercourse themselves.

"On to you Stelan."

Arthur swung his arm over the man’s shoulder patting his back lightly as he spoke.

"We need to have some godslayer-to-godslayer talk...just two of us."

He held up two fingers and coated them in summoning law energy, before moving them around in the air so fast they appeared to be a blur.

When he stopped, a complicated magic circle was now floating in the air, and he pushed the circle of Light towards Stelan before speaking.

"A contract, so I can summon you easier next time. It’d only last as long as I’m on this planet which is going to be for a year."

Stelan alternated his gaze between Arthur and the magic circle, calculating the pros and cons of agreeing to the contract.

He was very curious about Arthur for a lot of reasons.

The man was the oldest and strongest member of his race in his home world, and most of what they knew about their racial abilities were things he had discovered during battles and trials and errors.

Meeting Arthur now, it was clear that the boy knew more about their racial abilities than he did, and sticking around would also grant him opportunities to get stronger through battles as well.

He remained silent for a few more seconds to consider it before eventually choosing to accept the contract.

"Good choice. Now scurry along for now."

"?"

Before Stelan could even say a word of reply, Arthur dismissed the Three Stage Summoning, returning all the remaining Summoned Creatures to their original locations.

Left alone, Arthur yawned deeply, plopping down on the ground tired while his hand dipped into his subspace to find a change of clothes.

He snapped his fingers to create a veil of darkness around him before switching his clothes.

"I did use a veil like this when I fought Zach those years ago...I was only just a Master Realm then.

Look at me now."

The boy removed the veil and laid his back on the ground, staring up at the night sky in silence as he reminisced about the major events in his life up to this current moment.

"My Failed Magic Blooming, learning to use laws from Alexia, the Monsterization incident with Zach, and fighting with Owen the day after.

After this, I went on to Girex to get that Destruction Crystal. I think it was around then that I noticed that ’I’ was influencing myself.

The sports festival was a blast, and then we went to Edward’s Home Galaxy and ended up fighting that demigod necromancer.

There’s also the meeting with Esna and those visions I had that day."
