Chapter 314: Radgyn I
Edward and Esna, who had finally been able to absorb the rest of Gilbalar’s divine spark and break through to the Epic Realm, did the same too with other countries.
On a side note, Esna’s breakthrough finally made her capable of temporarily restraining her racial passive weakening effect temporarily like Arthur could, though she could do this for a lesser amount of time.
She could also now select specific targets she wanted to restrict the weakening effect to, increasing the individual percentage of the weakening in the case of multiple targets.
This was a welcome upgrade as now the problem of her weakening the allied Benevolent gods in battle had been solved.

Varona Realm
October 11th
Year 717 of the 50th General Calendar.
A trio of countries who had willingly offered support collated their forces and marched towards the Empire together, but they were met with an attack right before they crossed one of the continent’s longest rivers that served as the border into the Empire.
Leading this attack, was the Malevolent goddess of Water, Radgyn.
Using the Tier 3 Water Magic: Surging Waves, the goddess attempted to drown the thousands of troops with a colossal amount of water drawn from the river all in one go.
She was also prepared with an army of ten thousand monsters, ready to deal with any potential survivors as she sensed a few Intermediate and Superior grandmasters mixed in among the soldiers.
The colossal waves rose like towering titans, looming over the thousands of soldiers marching towards the river and dashing their hopes of crossing it in an instant
They desperately erected multiple earthen walls with magic to shield themselves, but their efforts were swiftly quashed by the relentless force of the torrential surge, the walls crumbling like sandcastles and leaving them vulnerable to the incoming onslaught of the raging tides.
It was at that moment, that Nicole showed up to save the day.
The young teenage devil suddenly appeared in front of the thousands of troops, her wings stretching out widely as she circulated her energies through her body and into the two wings, using them as catalysts to boost her control and power.
Upon seeing the girl who suddenly appeared in the air, the soldiers on the floor instantly linked her to the rumours of the Alien Demigods.
The girl ignored all these and casually waved her hand, activating her unique ability with a single word.
"AquaGenesis."
Invisible waves of power spread out from her being, wrestling with the Malevolent goddess’ dominion over her spell and seizing control over it within seconds much to Radgyn’s shock.
With a display of unmatched prowess, she commanded half of the colossal waves to retreat, flowing back into the river from whence they came.
She then harnessed the remaining half of the water, compressing it into a colossal sphere that hovered ominously in the air. It crackled with latent power, ready to be wielded as a potent weapon against the Malevolent goddess herself.
Seeing this, Radgyn narrowed her eyes at Nicole in silence, devoting part of her attention to the sphere of water in the air as she spoke.
"You...you’re one of those Alien Demigods, the ones who killed Gilbalar.
I didn’t really believe it at first, but seeing your ability just now, I can understand how Gilbalar might have died against you.
Despite looking so young, your control over water is...praiseworthy, to say the least."
The goddess spoke while attempting to regain control over the sphere with her divinity, but much to her shock, she found that she could not do so.
She even nearly suffered a backlash when she tried to do so forcefully.
As for the soldiers who were almost sent to a watery grave, her words cleared the doubts of all those who also didn’t believe the rumours and were only here simply because they were following orders.
Nicole alternated her gaze between the goddess and the army of monsters, all of which were under the control of the parasites of death, a light frown coming to her lips as she deduced that handling them both would be a hassle.
’The goddess is an intermediate stage, and there are tons of grandmaster monsters there.
Everything matches up with the intel that Ayaan and the goddess of Lightning gave us. There aren’t any other Epic Realm existences like the goddess with this force either.
Even so, dealing with the grandmaster monsters while fighting her simultaneously is not possible.’
With this thought, she snapped her fingers, manipulating the water sphere in the air and splitting it into three portions.
Before Radgyn could even react, Nicole directed one portion of the sphere towards her as a pressurized beam, its forceful impact propelling her through the air and plunging her into the depths of the river.
"Water Depth."
Nicole instantly triggered one of her favourite water magic spells, subjecting the goddess to the immense pressure of water three thousand metres below sea level.
She then shifted her focus to the second portion of the sphere, transforming it into a barrage of pressurized water spears, each one holding a dense amount of magic power.
Honing them in on the parasitic creatures controlling the monsters in the goddess’ army, she launched them forward with sonic speed.
The monsters naturally made moves to protect themselves, but the spears tore through their ranks with ease, piercing their defensive barriers and their bodies, blasting some to pieces while harmlessly bouncing off the scales of the monsters with powerful defensive magic and skills.
**BOOM!!!
A huge explosion rang out and Nicole felt her Water Depth spell being broken, nevertheless, she wasn’t too surprised; as if Radgyn could easily get caught by that spell, then she didn’t deserve her ’goddess of water’ title.
"You!!!"
The goddess re-emerged from the river; her clothes untouched by even a drop of water as she glared at Nicole deeply while concentrating elemental particles to form a long whip of water in her hands.
Nicole only silently descended to the ground, looking at her with a calm gaze that left the goddess slightly unnerved.
’What’s up with this k-!! NOT GOOD!!!’
As someone who controlled water, Radgyn was more sensitive to the element and even though Nicole tried to hide it, she instantly noticed what the latter was doing.
Upon seeing Radgyn’s changing expression, the teenage devil knew her ploy had been discovered. She instantly snapped her fingers and activated a magic spell.
"Physics Magic."
The third portion of water that she had sent above the clouds had been transformed into hundreds of water droplets which she then shaped into lenses of water.
Then she condensed the residual droplets of water on the bodies of the monsters her Pressurized water Spear Barrage had killed and turned them into smaller droplets of water a few metres above the monster army.
However, Radgyn reacted before the light of the sun that had been turned into deadly laser beams above the clouds could reach the droplets above the monsters, rousing her divinity and creating a giant film of water that covered them and refracted the beams of light.
’Wait a sec! It’s Light? She’s using the sun’s light!!’
Radgyn instantly realised the true danger of the spell and manipulated her energy in response to that. The film of water she had initially created as a barrier now gained a reflective surface that sent the rays of light from Nicole’s spell in other directions.
[Hoh...This one’s smart.]
Undine who was on Nicole’s shoulder as always let out a comment upon seeing Radgyn’s quick reaction s quick reaction that dealt with the Physics Magic spell easily.
Even Nicole had to admit that she had unconsciously underestimated Radgyn. She gave up on the spell but didn’t cancel it, instead increasing the size of the lenses to keep the goddess busy while she called forth the Horse Shaped Spirit who assisted her during the battle against Gilbalar.
[This child is quite powerful and has a pure bloodline too. That’s something I didn’t expect from this planet.]
The Horse spirit was quite fearful when faced with Undine’s appraising gaze, owing to the fact that it was only a mid-ranked spirit while Undine was a Great Spirit.
Nicole silently patted its mane to calm it down, before turning towards the army commanders who had come up to speak to her but ended up being surprised by the spirit’s sudden appearance.
Despite the fact that these men and women were easily three times Nicole’s age, her gaze on them felt heavy, and their instincts screamed at them to not even dare harbour any hostile thoughts against her.
Of course, Nicole was intimidating them on purpose as she knew that there was a possibility for them to underestimate her based on her appearance, though she hoped there wasn’t anyone stupid enough to do that after her earlier display of power.
"You eight are the highest-ranked commanders here?"
Her tone of voice was quite low, but it travelled across the entire area, the magic power imbued in it allowing all the soldiers to hear her very clearly.
