Chapter 910: Chapter 910: You Got It All Wrong

As the soldiers continued their assault, even though Feng Wuci hadn’t moved personally yet, she already harbored the intention to retreat in her heart.

Because she saw something familiar in Chen Guan—an aura that she couldn’t fathom, a feeling of overwhelming power akin to sitting high above.

She had seen this aura once in her mother, in Ji Beizhu, and later in Qi Tianxin.

Life would perhaps remain in its first meeting, and maybe Feng Wuci could always remember this feeling.

Yet this feeling faded over time, becoming familiar between people, ultimately eroded through countless tugging and probing of boundaries until she lost her perception of it entirely.

But upon seeing Chen Guan, Feng Wuci once more felt this aura that threw her into a panic.

"Leave." Feng Wuci wanted to withdraw her void night veil and escape from this void darkness.

But as soon as she spoke, her expression changed. She realized her void night veil wasn’t obeying her, remaining motionless, continuing to shroud the courtyard in darkness.

In Chen Guan’s hand, a bead in the chain glimmered with a mysterious glow that froze the void darkness in place, even its master couldn’t retract it.

Ordinary people couldn’t use Secret God beads because the Primordial Energy required was immense, making simultaneous use of several beads impossible.

Yet in Chen Guan’s hands, these Secret God beads moved with his fingers as though childish toys, constantly transforming.

Amongst the light emanating from the Secret God beads, the warriors’ attacks waned, incapable of harming even a blade of grass or a tree within the courtyard.

Unable to retrieve her void night veil despite her full effort, Feng Wuci, shocked and angry, unleashed secret treasures one after another and summoned Ninth Awakening pets to attack Chen Guan.

With a slight finger movement, the chain of beads in Chen Guan’s grasp mostly lit up, filling the courtyard with mysterious glow.

At that moment, everything appeared to be frozen.

The exploding Primordial Energy seized, resembling the aurora freeze-framed in the sky.

Pets remained poised in attack, secret treasures suspended as though painted in midair, while soldiers retained myriad poses, their expressions diverse.

Even their Secret Realm halos appeared like oil painting hues, exhibiting no change.

Feng Wuci stood frozen, alert in mind, perceived everything occurring, yet could only watch helplessly.

Chen Guan rose from his chair, steady pacing with bead chain in hand, becoming the sole moving entity in the courtyard.

The power around him propelled the frozen energy, pets, treasures, and soldiers aside as he walked to Feng Wuci.

"Madam Qi, it seems I must disappoint you today; you cannot take anyone from here or kill anyone here," Chen Guan spoke, reaching to remove the veil from Feng Wuci’s face.

Indeed, Feng Wuci had the potential to be a disaster borne of beauty.

Not outrageously striking in appearance, her features exquisite, skin flawless, despite centuries maintained a youthful figure and air resembling a young woman of twenty; there was even a trace of girlish innocence.

Retaining figure is easy, but preserving youthful aura necessitates a youthful mindset.

In other words, Feng Wuci’s mentality and comprehension hadn’t evolved over nearly a thousand years—just a self-deluded elderly woman stuck in adolescent fantasy sans wisdom conferred by age.

"You mean to say, capable kill you, right?" Chen Guan looked at her intently, speaking softly: "You believe you are the Celestial King’s most beloved daughter, thus I won’t dare harm you?"

"True, I won’t kill you, but not due to the Celestial King; rather, because of your inherent value," Chen Guan stated calmly.

Feng Wuci’s expression shifted; she eyed Chen Guan, emotions swirling, musing internally, "Could he want..."

Mulling over, Feng Wuci’s gaze transformed, more intricate and peculiar, a hint of anticipation even slipped in.

Yet Chen Guan’s words shattered all unrealistic fantasies, almost driving Feng Wuci to madness.

"Death is humanity’s ultimate destination, yet you aren’t worthy of it; thus should live. Your life is insignificant to others but holds some worth to the Celestial King and perhaps to the Chief Judge, though the exact value is indeterminate. I imagine the Chief Judge detests individuals of malice, such a woman behaving like a capricious young girl ignorant of age or wisdom. Were I to kill you, he’d likely rejoice," Chen Guan affected nonchalance toward Feng Wuci’s furious gaze.

"You mean you will wreak havoc if spared, right?" Chen Guan smiled slightly: "You misunderstand. I never said I’d release nor spare you." His smile turned sinister: "I plan to use you, continually extorting Qi Tianxin and the Celestial King, extracting every value from them, until they refuse even a cent for you, until they utterly disdain you."

"When that comes, your remaining worth will rest in this body alone. Even then, I won’t kill you, but keep you like livestock, harvesting your blood and Primordial Energy to nourish my pets. One pet relishes blood; the blood of you, nurtured by countless Heavenly and Earthly Treasures, is delightful. It will relish fresh daily imbibing."

Chronically, Feng Wuci’s gaze morphed from initial resentment and rage to horror, anxiety, terrified bemusement. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"You assume the Celestial King won’t tolerate me, right?" Chen Guan’s smile broadened: "You err greatly; real tormenter isn’t me, nor extorter of the Celestial King. Why approach me?"

"You think they won’t believe, correct?" A chuckle escaped Chen Guan, followed by a gentle clap as someone emerged from the abode.

Upon seeing that person grin, Feng Wuci’s heart plummeted to abyssal depths, pure unchecked terror gripped her visage; only bodily immobility hindered her from trembling violently.

"Master, rest assured... I’ll handle this woman..." Ji Fenglie smiled with malevolence, gaze laden with venomous ruthlessness, slicing off Feng Wuci’s five fingers with a dagger: "I’ll send this to the Celestial King and Qi Tianxin; they’ll surely appreciate the gift."

"Show her no mercy," Chen Guan’s eyes revealed icy indifference, absent any empathy.

The calamity won’t extend to family, from Feng Wuci’s moment of stepping into the Chen Family estate, in Chen Guan’s eyes, she ceased being human. Toward beasts, Chen Guan devoid of compassion.
