Chapter 945: Chapter 941: The Hidden Jokester

The three people, whose stomachs were growling, didn’t feel too hungry while in the car, as the jostling around made them focus entirely on how to stabilize themselves. However, once they set foot on the ground and walked a short distance, they started to feel hunger gnawing at their insides.

Fortunately, there was a residential area ahead, and where there are people, there is bound to be the food industry. They could only quicken their pace, hoping to find a place to fill their bellies.

By speeding up, what should have been a thirty-minute journey was shrunk by over thirty percent, and they reached the outskirts in just twenty minutes.

Of course, if Xiao Tian were traveling alone, even without using his Body Technique, he could have reached the destination in ten minutes just by walking. This time, he slowed down to accommodate Xiang Yiting and Adison Claire!

The three found a small hotel with decent decor, eager to have a hearty meal.

After entering the hotel, the three of them walked to the front desk. Xiao Tian looked at the tightly bundled Adison Claire and asked, "Do you have a private room?"

The staff on the other side bowed politely and flashed a sweet smile. "Please wait a moment while I check for you."

After speaking, the staff looked down to check. A moment later, the front desk staff apologized, "I’m sorry, all the private rooms are fully booked today. You would have to dine here."

Xiao Tian and Xiang Yiting exchanged a glance and decided to leave the hotel.

However, just as the three were about to leave, the front desk staff called out to them, saying, "Wait a moment, I just checked and found that one room’s guests haven’t shown up at the appointed time, so you might consider it. However, because it’s a larger room, it might cost you a bit extra."

Xiao Tian promptly turned back and, without hesitation, replied, "Alright, take us there."

The girl at the front desk smiled warmly. After notifying someone nearby, she led the three of them to the second floor.

After arriving at a large private room, the three of them sat down and casually flipped through the menu before them.

Although it was called a large private room, it could actually only accommodate about ten people. It seemed a bit spacious simply because there were only three of Xiao Tian’s group there.

Just as Xiao Tian was about to order, a fierce quarrel echoed through the crack in the door, leaving Xiang Yiting, who was flipping through the menu, and Adison Claire, who was about to remove her mask, dumbfounded and unable to keep from pausing.

...

"Who gave you the nerve to let out my private room?"

"I apologize, sir, but you exceeded the agreed time, so..."

"Don’t give me that nonsense! Get the people inside out now, or I’ll smash up your crappy hotel."

This vague dialogue reached the ears of Xiao Tian and the others, and the three of them showed different expressions in response.

Xiang Yiting seemed quite angry, while Adison Claire had a trace of worry between her brows. Only Xiao Tian remained calm and unaffected, as if he hadn’t been disturbed at all.

As the argument grew clearer, Xiao Tian loudly called out, "Waiter, I’d like to order!"

The door opened, revealing a waiter with an embarrassed look, who cautiously asked, "Pardon me, but could I ask the three of you to move downstairs to dine?"

"Why should we move downstairs?" Xiang Yiting immediately slammed the table, startling the waiter.

Despite the shiver that went through him, the waiter forced himself to speak up, "Because this room was previously reserved by a guest, and that guest is here now, so I ask that the three of you please dine downstairs."

Xiao Tian raised an eyebrow, a barely noticeable smirk at the corner of his mouth, seemingly amused as he said, "I remember being told by the front desk that the previous guest missed their appointed time. The one who booked this room now is me."

The waiter found himself in a dilemma. The person outside was clearly not to be trifled with, but these three before him didn’t look any easier to handle. Still, considering the consequences of offending the person outside, the waiter gritted his teeth, looking like he had made a significant decision.

"I’ll personally cover the cost of your meal; please just move downstairs to avoid trouble with that guest, or we’ll all be in trouble."

Xiao Tian chuckled, "Then let that guest you spoke of come in and discuss it with me!"

Seeing Xiao Tian’s resolute stance, the waiter felt on the brink of tears, lamenting his misfortune at encountering such a situation on his first day at work.

Just as he was caught up in his dilemma, the heavy door of the private room was suddenly kicked open with a loud bang, accompanied by a clearly irritated voice...

"You really have some nerve, don’t you?"

With the utterance of this phrase, the gaze of Xiao Tian and the others, along with the waiter, was drawn to a young man in a suit, wearing a golden watch on his wrist, who strutted in.

The young man seemed to be about twenty-four or twenty-five years old, with chiseled features and a bold demeanor, exuding an unrestrained and arrogant vibe.

After he entered, another seven or eight people of similar age followed suit. Among them were two burly individuals dressed in black with sunglasses, standing beside the young man, appearing to be security personnel.

With his entrance, the young man’s gaze locked onto Xiao Tian. He casually pulled over a chair, propped a foot on it, and said brusquely, "You wanted to have a word with me, huh?"

Xiao Tian sized him up and then gave a dismissive laugh, "That’s right, this private room is booked by me, so you can leave with your group."

"Ha..."

The young man burst out laughing, looking around as if he had heard a marvelous joke, and said, "Did I hear you right? Somebody actually dared to tell me, Masuda Ryosei, to leave?!"

Xiao Tian nodded calmly, confirming, "You heard it right."

Masuda Ryosei kicked over the chair and glared intensely at Xiao Tian, "Kid, don’t you know who I am?"

"Are you famous?" Xiao Tian asked with a puzzled look. "Why must I know you? Or does knowing you mean I can eat here for free?"

He then slapped his forehead, adding, "Oh, no wait, you said you’re called Masuda Ryosei, right? In that case, I suppose I do know you."

Xiang Yiting and Adison Claire couldn’t help but snicker but quickly masked it, secretly amazed that Xiao Tian was such a hidden joker.

Their laughter, as expected, caught Masuda Ryosei’s attention, and when he saw Xiang Yiting, a spark lit up in his eyes. However, when his gaze fell on Adison Claire, it seemed impossible for him to look away.

Perhaps mystery arouses the most curiosity. Adison Claire’s outfit hid her somewhat terrifying appearance, yet showcased her explosive figure, making one inevitably wonder and anticipate what kind of face might accompany such a figure.
