Chapter 336: Coming to an End - Part 1

Boom!

That was the last thing Solenne heard before she crashed heavily into the dry desert sands.

Her battered body bounced several times before finally coming to a stop.

She coughed violently and spat out a mouthful of blood. Fresh blood dripped from the corner of her lips continuously.

Despite her miserable condition, a trace of relief appeared across her face. At the very least, she was still alive.

Bang! Bang!

Before she could fully understand what was happening around her, the terrifying sounds of battle erupted throughout the battlefield.

The violent clashes echoed across the desert like relentless thunder.

Confused, Solenne slowly raised her head.

The moment she saw the scene unfolding before her, her jaw dropped completely.

"H-How...?" she muttered weakly.

Disbelief filled every corner of her face.

She simply could not comprehend what she was witnessing.

Standing before the massive Bone Crushing Wyrm were ten figures cloaked entirely in black.

Each figure carried an enormous shield.

The undead servants formed an unbreakable wall around the monstrous beast. They blocked every attack while relentlessly pushing forward.

However, that was not the most shocking sight.

Surrounding the Level 37 Bone Crushing Wyrm were dozens of undead Dune Scorpions.

Every one of them possessed terrifying strength and their levels ranged between 35 and 36. Like bloodthirsty predators, they attacked the giant beast from every possible direction.

Shriek! Shriek!

The Bone Crushing Wyrm screamed in agony. Its massive tail swung wildly through the air.

Several undead Dune Scorpions were struck directly.

Bang! Bang!

The undead beasts crashed violently into distant dunes. Their armored carapaces cracked under the tremendous impact.

Some lost portions of their pincers. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Others lost parts of their deadly stingers.

Yet none of them stopped moving.

None of them retreated.

None of them feared death.

They simply rose once more and charged back into battle.

Shriek! Shriek!

The Bone Crushing Wyrm continued screaming miserably. Chunks of flesh were ripped from its body repeatedly.

Blood splattered across the battlefield like exploding crimson fountains. The gigantic creature struggled desperately to escape.

Its enormous body twisted violently across the sands.

Again and again, it attempted to break free.

Again and again, it failed.

The undead army gave it absolutely no opportunity to retreat. Then the shield soldiers finally closed the remaining distance.

Their formation shifted instantly.

An opening appeared.

The elite undead squad moved forward. Cold blades descended in quick succession.

Previously, when fighting Solenne, the Bone Crushing Wyrm’s scales had proven incredibly durable.

Its thick flesh had absorbed numerous attacks.

Its defenses had frustrated even a powerful fighter like Solenne.

However, the situation had completely changed. The moment the elite undead attacked, flesh and scales split apart immediately. Their weapons carved through the creature’s body mercilessly.

It was as though its legendary defenses no longer existed.

Howl!

A miserable scream erupted from the Bone Crushing Wyrm. The beast thrashed violently upon the ground.

Its entire body trembled from unbearable pain. Fury and terror filled its crimson eyes.

Desperate to survive, it raised its massive head toward the sky.

Its maw opened widely.

A terrifying attack erupted instantly.

A dense storm of compressed sand exploded toward the elite undead. The incoming attack possessed devastating destructive power.

The elite undead immediately abandoned their offensive. They retreated behind the shield soldiers without hesitation.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sandstorm slammed heavily into the massive shields. The impact shook the battlefield.

Several shield soldiers were pushed backward several steps.

The ground cracked beneath their feet. Even so, none of them were sent flying.

Not a single shield broke.

Their defensive line remained intact.

The Bone Crushing Wyrm had barely finished attacking when the undead Dune Scorpions struck again.

They showed absolutely no mercy. Their pincers tore into exposed flesh.

Their stingers pierced deeply into vulnerable wounds.

The Bone Crushing Wyrm screamed repeatedly. Its cries became increasingly desperate.

Several times it attempted to burrow underground.

Several times it failed.

Every escape route was blocked.

Every opportunity vanished immediately.

The undead army had completely trapped the creature. With the sand attack neutralized, the elite undead launched another assault.

They attacked from every conceivable angle.

Their coordination was flawless.

Their attacks were relentless.

The Bone Crushing Wyrm struggled with every ounce of strength remaining.

Yet the more it fought, the more injuries accumulated.

Its condition deteriorated rapidly.

Blood flowed endlessly from hundreds of wounds.

Tens of meters away, the fate of the Level Thirty Seven Greater Dune Scorpion was no better.

In fact, its situation was arguably worse.

Its remaining pincer had already been severed completely.

Dark blood poured continuously from the stump.

Its armored carapace was covered in countless spiderweb cracks.

One eye had been destroyed entirely.

Blood streamed from the ruined socket like water from a broken pipe. The giant beast screamed continuously. Pain consumed its every movement.

Still, it desperately attempted to fend off its attackers. Unfortunately, its opponents were undead.

Fear did not exist within them.

Pain meant nothing to them.

Exhaustion could never slow them.

Their only purpose was destruction.

’Chain Combo!’

The undead Storm Tyrant activated its devastating combat skill.

Its muscles expanded dramatically.

Its already imposing body grew even larger.

The air surrounding it became dangerously unstable. Its hollow eye sockets blazed with pale yellow soul fire.

The undead Storm Tyrant stepped forward fearlessly, welcoming the massive stinger.

The attack carried enough force to split stones apart. Yet the Storm Tyrant rushed forward with its massive hammer in tow.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A storm of hammer strikes erupted instantly. The attacks came so quickly that ordinary eyes could never follow them.

Bone fragments exploded everywhere.

Pieces of the deadly stinger scattered through the air.

The sharpened venomous tip shattered completely.

Despite the damage, the stinger still slammed into the Storm Tyrant.

Whoosh!

The undead Storm Tyrant was launched over ten meters away. Its body crashed heavily into the dunes.

Bang!

Sand erupted everywhere.

However, before the dust even settled, it rose again.

The undead Storm Tyrant appeared completely unfazed, rising back to its feet.

Meanwhile, the Greater Dune Scorpion faced a much darker fate. The undead Elite Jackal Beastman suddenly rushed forward, and its massive, spiked club whistled through the air.

Bang!

The weapon smashed directly into the scorpion’s head. The impact resembled a falling mountain.

Shriek!

A soul tearing scream erupted from the beast. Its body stumbled backward uncontrollably and its movements became unstable.

Its damaged stinger swung wildly in every direction.

Before it could recover, another deadly figure appeared. The undead Royalty Stonewall arrived instantly, and its enormous blade gleamed coldly.

The weapon rose.

Then it fell.

Bang!

The blade crashed into the beast with overwhelming force.

The Greater Dune Scorpion trembled violently. Its massive body rolled backward through the blood-soaked sands.

Blood erupted from shattered wounds.

Its remaining eye exploded instantly.

Fragments of flesh scattered everywhere. Brain matter flowed freely from the ruined skull. The beast desperately attempted to remain standing.

Its legs trembled uncontrollably.

Its body swayed from side to side.

For several moments it fought against death itself. Unfortunately, the struggle proved meaningless.

Its strength finally abandoned it. Its gigantic body collapsed heavily upon the battlefield and the ground shook beneath the impact.

Silence.

The mighty Level 37 Greater Dune Scorpion was dead.
