“Hmm… does this person have OCD or something?”

Lin Ye carefully inspected every corner of the room, but he didn’t find anything useful.

The walls and floor of the room were made of metal, so there wasn’t likely any hidden compartment.

Lin Ye lay on the bed, took out the pouch of orange-red powder, and held it up against the overhead light. Through the powder, he saw several lines of orange-red writing on the ceiling.

“…You can do that?”

Lin Ye had only taken out the pouch because he thought it might be connected to the room somehow. He just wanted to take a look.

He hadn’t expected the other person to have left information in the room through such a method.

Lin Ye quickly finished reading the information on the ceiling. Afterward, he searched the room again but found no other clues.

“Is this the corpse of some giant creature?”

Lin Ye walked along the circular corridor, making a full circuit. He found that this area wasn’t just home to one corpse—it was crammed full of these giant creatures’ bodies.

“…Did I take that powder and that’s why I can see these giant creatures’ corpses? Is this some kind of hallucination, or another perspective?”

Lin Ye returned to the elevator. It still couldn’t move up or down. He poured the remaining powder into his mouth, but the elevator still didn’t react.

He could only head for the rooms on the inner side of the circular corridor. But as he twisted the door handle, out of the corner of his eye, that eyeball seemed to twitch.

“Huh?”

Lin Ye turned to look at the transparent wall. This time, he was sure—that eyeball was staring at him, because its center position was different from before.

“Hello?”

Lin Ye tried to communicate with the giant creature. Given its size, it should easily be able to destroy the transparent wall separating them.

But the giant creature didn’t move or respond. It just stared at Lin Ye, as if it was thinking about how to eat the little thing inside.

After a few seconds of thought, Lin Ye put on the diving suit and entered the diving chamber.

He was trapped in this area again. But in this simulation, he had obtained some important information, so instead of wasting time here, he might as well go out and take a look. If he died out there, he could start the next simulation.

The dark-red seawater flooded into the diving chamber. Lin Ye lay at the edge of the chamber as some deep-red, flocculent material surged in with the water through the gate. These clumps kept twitching, seemingly possessing some biological activity.

Soon, Lin Ye approached the giant eyeball. That eyeball was still staring at him but did nothing else, as if that was all it could do.

The giant creature was enormous in size. Lin Ye couldn’t see its entire body, but he quickly noticed that the direction of its head seemed somewhat similar to that skull.

“No way? Taking that powder lets me see already-dead giant creatures? Is that some kind of powerful hallucinogen? Should I have taken less?”

Lin Ye stared at the eyeball for a few seconds. Suddenly, he spoke from inside the diving suit:

“If you want me to deal with those symbols inside your skull, look away.”

As soon as Lin Ye finished speaking, the giant creature slowly averted its gaze.

“Can I go in right now? If yes, look at me.”

If he could deal with those symbols, he might be able to get some information from the giant creature.

The giant creature slowly moved its gaze back to Lin Ye.

“Then I’ll go in now. You’d better be able to open a path for me.”

Lin Ye quickly swam toward the edge of the eyeball.
