"Alright, even though it feels like there's probably a huge problem in there, since we're already here..."

Lin Ye also wanted to know where the Fate Rule Fragment would guide him.

"Hehe, then I'll create the passageway."

Mia pulled out a Dreamstone, and before long, a faint, indistinct passageway appeared ahead of them.

But the passageway was extremely unstable. It wasn't until Mia consumed three Dreamstones that it stabilized somewhat.

"Hurry up, there's some trouble here. We might not be able to get in later."

Mia walked at the front, and the three of them soon reached the end of the passageway. Unlike the previous two Storage Points, the end of the passageway was pitch black, completely hiding whatever was inside.

"There are actually protective measures?"

Mia gently touched the black area, and a gap large enough for a person to pass through appeared on its surface.

They couldn't see through the gap to the other side; it seemed to be some kind of defensive mechanism.

Mia needed to maintain the gap, so Lin Ye and Alice went through it first, entering the Storage Point.

"Oh..."

Lin Ye had just wanted to back out when Mia pushed him forward a step.

"Good thing I was fast, or I would've had to waste another Dreamstone."

Mia peeked her head out from behind Lin Ye and began observing the inside of the Storage Point.

"Oh..."

Mia also wanted to back out of the Storage Point, but she realized the chasm behind them had already disappeared.

"Big brother, I'm a little scared."

Alice hid behind Lin Ye, only showing half her face.

"I'm scared too, dammit."

They were currently standing on a white platform in the middle of a void. At the center of the platform stood a cylindrical container tens of meters in diameter and hundreds of meters tall. The container was filled with dark red liquid, and a giant wreckage was soaking inside it.

Lin Ye had seen many corpses and had done many experiments with them. He wouldn't be scared just by a corpse.

The problem was the label attached to the container, which stated the name of the wreckage:

[Wreckage of the Red Sea Alienation Deity]

This alone wouldn't scare Lin Ye either. He had seen real deities and handled their corpses. But the issue was that there were many such platforms here.

"What are you waiting for? Don't tell me you want to take a deity's corpse back with you? We need to get out of here. I'll cover the cost of the Dreamstones wasted!"

Lin Ye didn't think this was a place they should be.

Was this the guidance of Fate?

"...Uh, sorry."

Mia said awkwardly.

"What do you mean 'sorry'? Don't tell me we can't get out."

Lin Ye really wanted to push this troublemaker off the platform.

"No help for it. There's some kind of defensive measure here. It prevents intruders from leaving, and it's related to a deity. I need some time to get us out of here."

Mia had only considered whether there was a deity or not, not that there would be a deity's corpse here.

This was somewhere in between—not too conspicuous, but not easy to leave.

"How long?"

Lin Ye could only accept the situation.

"Hard to say, but it shouldn't be more than an hour..."

Before Mia could finish speaking, she shut her mouth.

A man sitting on a chair appeared between the container and them.

The man leaned back in the chair, his head tilted back, his mouth open wide enough to dislocate his jaw.

A massive bundle of nerve fibers grew out of his mouth, eyes, ears, and nose, extending upward. At the top of the nerve fibers was a complete brain.

The nerve fibers and brain were fixed above the man by some force, making the whole scene look extremely eerie.

Three illusions appeared in front of them. The nerves and brains of these illusions burst out of their bodies in segments, gathering above the man.

The illusions, having lost their nerves and brains, died like corpses. The man, the chair, and everything above them disappeared together.

"...Thanks for that. What the hell was that thing?"

If Alice hadn't created those three illusions in time, their brains might have already flown out.

"It should be some kind of Consciousness. It seems there's a guard here too."

Inside the Storage Point, Mia wasn't confident she could take it down either. If there was only one such Consciousness, it would be manageable. But if there were many like it, they'd be in serious danger.

"If we help you open a small hole in the wall, can you get us out of here?"

Little Guardian suddenly appeared beside Lin Ye. She usually didn't like showing herself in front of others, but the situation was urgent, and she couldn't worry about that anymore.

"Yes. As long as there's a gap, I can take you all out."

Mia answered very seriously.

"I'm not great at breaking things like this. But if someone could lend me some mental energy, I could give it a try."

Alice flashed a mischievous smile.

"What do you need my mental energy for?"

Lin Ye asked directly.

"Ah, I was just joking. I suggest you'd better not break this barrier, or we'll all be trapped here."

Alice suddenly changed her tone.

"What do you mean? Do you think I can't get away?"

Mia looked at Alice with some displeasure.

"Breaking the barrier from the inside will definitely alert the Master of this place. And when the barrier is broken, a temporary barrier will appear. Even if you can break that temporary barrier, we'll be caught by the Master here."

Alice explained seriously.

"How do you know so much?"

Little Guardian looked at Alice with suspicion.

"I created an illusion of that Consciousness earlier and got some information from it."

Alice answered calmly.

"So what now? I can't figure out how to deal with the temporary barrier before it appears."

Mia said, rubbing her head in frustration.

"Ah well, since we're here, we can first look for anything we can take. Maybe we'll find the exit here too."

Thinking back to the previous two Storage Points, Lin Ye felt there might be an exit here as well.

"That's not impossible, but is there really anything here worth taking?"

Mia hadn't dared to look directly at the wreckage in the container, afraid that its influence would cause her body to undergo Alienation.

"Even if there isn't, it's fine. Just observing it will bring some gains."

From the moment he saw the name of the wreckage, Lin Ye had been using his Spiritual Parasite duplicates to collect Alienation information from it.

All the parasites that looked directly at the wreckage had been alienated into strange things, but that also meant this method of collecting information was feasible.

The four of them went around the container. This was a void with no visible boundaries. The sky was white, and no ground could be seen below. There were many such white platforms around, with narrow pathways connecting them.
