"If you don't want it, you can hand it over to me for handling."
The young girl was very interested in Lin Ye's nightmare.
"No, although it feels a bit troublesome, I'll deal with it myself."
Lin Ye would have to get involved with dreams and the mental world sooner or later anyway, so this test was a great opportunity.
"Alright... but can I raise some dinosaurs in there?"
The young girl saw great potential in the nightmare and decided to claim a section inside it first.
"You can, but you'll have to help me keep the dream stable."
Lin Ye sipped his hot cocoa and began brainstorming a development plan for the dream.

[You have received a gift]
Back at the Shelter, Lin Ye opened the gift box. Inside was the black crystal.
[Special Spiritual Imprint Crystal]
[This is a crystal storing a special spiritual imprint]
[Note: Things that cannot be understood will drive creatures to madness—both their bodies and their minds]
"Looks like I'll need to find some time to study the spiritual imprint inside this. But before that, I better find a mental world suitable for planting the Seed of Spirit."
Lin Ye picked up the crocodile lying motionless on the bed and rubbed its belly.
The crocodile didn't resist. It just opened its amber vertical pupils and gave him a glance.
"Stop sleeping. I'm taking you to lunch."
Lin Ye brought his pets to the Rest Area for a hearty lunch, then returned to the Shelter.
He asked Xiao Bai when would be the best time to use the Boat Ticket. Xiao Bai didn't answer that question.
That meant it wouldn't matter whenever he used that white Boat Ticket.
"Right. Even if it's a mental world, going to the shallow layers shouldn't be a problem."
Once Lin Ye was prepared, he used the Boat Ticket directly. When he came to his senses, he was already standing on a platform at a seaside port.
Beyond the port was a deep blue sea, and around the port were some oddly shaped buildings.
Lin Ye's appearance looked pretty much the same as his true body, but he could feel that this wasn't his actual body—it was some kind of body made of mental energy. Also, he couldn't open his loot space. The only thing he had on him was the Sacrificial Night gown, with nothing else.
A Giant Cruise Ship was sailing into the port. The ship was dozens of meters tall. Looking at it from the side, you could see dense rows of windows covering the hull.
Several passengers were standing on the platform, but none of them were people Lin Ye knew.
The cruise ship docked beside the port and lowered the Gangway Ladder.
Lin Ye boarded the ship. A somewhat familiar attendant led the way, taking him to room 1437.
"Please rest here, sir. Do not leave the room. When we're about to arrive at the station, I will come to escort you off the ship."
The attendant respectfully exited the room and closed the door.
It was a cramped guest room about twenty square meters, with only a bed and a round window inside.
Outside the window was the deep blue sea. Some fish were swimming past the window, curiously staring at it.
'So using the Boat Ticket lets me go out without going through the system. But that's a bit of a loss—I can't use Special Abilities. Then again, in the shallow layers of the mental world, I probably won't need Special Abilities anyway.'
Lin Ye lay on the bed, gazing out the window. He planned to rest a little. Just as he was about to fall asleep, he sensed something like a switch.
"Damn, this is way too weird."
Lin Ye nearly reached out to press it out of habit. He had no idea what would happen if he flipped that switch in a place like this.
"Forget it. I'm not going to sleep. Feels a bit dangerous."
Lin Ye started mulling over the research projects he still hadn't finished. Before long, the attendant knocked on the door.
"You will be arriving at your station shortly, sir. Please follow me to the Deck and wait to disembark."
Lin Ye followed the attendant out of the room. Everything went so smoothly it made him feel a bit uneasy. Until he left the cruise ship, he didn't run into a single problem.
The cruise ship docked beside a stretch of land that looked incredibly barren. The place didn't match the ship at all—it didn't seem like a cruise ship stop whatsoever.
When Lin Ye turned around, he saw that the cruise ship had already sailed far away from the shore. The Boat Ticket had returned to his hand, and on the ticket was printed the time the ship would arrive.
"...So I have to stay in a place like this for an entire afternoon?"
Lin Ye felt that the system events were way more interesting.
"Forget it. Since I'm already here, I'll treat it like a trip to some unfamiliar place."
Lin Ye prepared to venture deeper into this land. It was his first time entering this type of mental world, and he had absolutely no idea what he was supposed to do here.
"If you keep walking like this, you'll just waste the whole afternoon. The mental world is huge."
Alice suddenly appeared beside Lin Ye and spoke up.
"Can you change your appearance? The way you look now makes it hard for me to hit you... How did you get out here?"
Lin Ye wasn't particularly surprised.
"You can use mental energy to create a sports car, or even make an airplane. That would at least speed up your movement in the mental world."
Alice didn't answer Lin Ye's question. She was afraid he might actually beat her up.
After all, she was only showing up because she was bored and wanted to mess around.
"I'm not a mental creature. I can't make things like that."
Lin Ye also wished he could create things out of thin air with mental energy, like the young girl could. But he wasn't a mental creature. Even though his current body was made of mental energy, he still couldn't use mental energy the way a mental creature could.
That was a fundamental difference—not something that could be erased with a few mental techniques.
"But I am a mental creature. I can help you make those things. You can use this process to understand the essence of mental energy."
Even though Alice made it sound very simple, she never actually thought Lin Ye would succeed. She just wanted to borrow Lin Ye's mental energy to make some stuff for herself.
"Are you trying to trick me? If it were that easy to learn, I would've learned it a long time ago."
Lin Ye certainly wasn't falling for it. He had briefly received a blessing called Spirit Supreme before, and back then, he already understood the essential difference between himself and mental creatures.
"It's not completely impossible, even if the chance is a bit small..."
Alice was still trying to argue. Just then, she spotted a sports car driving toward them in the distance.
The sports car stopped beside Lin Ye. Mia was sitting in the Driver's Seat and greeted him.
"Get in. I thought you came alone."
Mia gave Alice a curious glance.
"What are you doing here?"
Lin Ye got into the sports car, and Alice sat down in the Back Seat of the Sports Car.
"I was afraid you'd run into danger in the mental world, so I came to join you on the adventure."
Mia flashed a somewhat guilty smile.
"And the truth?"
Lin Ye didn't think Mia was that reliable.
"I heard you got your hands on a batch of Dreamstones. I happen to have a great plan to make a profit using those Dreamstones. I was planning to bring you in on it and make some money together."
Mia stated the truth very bluntly.
