Chapter 508: Chapter 99: The Three Gods of the Cosmos Join the War, a New Contract
’This really is the Cosmic Game.’
Within the Authority Space, more than three hundred years had passed.
The Four Gods had finally gathered once more.
This meeting, of course, had been initiated by Lince.
Within the darkness, as four figures gradually appeared, the entire space instantly seemed to be divided into four starkly colored domains.
The space occupied by the Fiery Sun Giant Dragon was a Flame World.
The space occupied by the God of All Machines was a Black and Gray World.
The space occupied by the Mother of All Things, however, was a sea of green, brimming with life.
And the space occupied by the God of Thousand Faces was a formless chaos.
The Four Gods stood divided in the four corners of the space.
"Oh? Nigredo was the one who called for a meeting this time? How rare."
"What’s this? Couldn’t you wait any longer? Do you want to join forces and launch an all-out assault on the Lord of the Black Prison’s world?"

The God of Thousand Faces’ tone was as flippant and provocative as ever.
The God of All Machines frowned.
"Surely it’s not time yet, is it? I haven’t sensed the massive disturbance in the Laws that would inevitably arise from the Lord of the Black Prison attempting the final step."
"Or are you saying that after such a short time, you’re certain you can annihilate Him?"
The Mother of All Things said nothing, but the look she gave Lince was just as clear.
After all, during their last discussion, the Four Gods had already laid out their plan.
They would employ a scorched-earth strategy while continuously laying siege to the Black Prison World.
As for how long the siege would last?
It would last until one of two things happened: either the Black Prison Race took the initiative to break the encirclement...
...or they would launch an all-out strike at the last possible moment, just as the Lord of the Black Prison was breaking through to the level of a Pillar God.
For an Authority Level Deity to break through to the Pillar God level would absolutely trigger a massive disturbance in the Laws.
This was a Pillar God, after all—a Deity who symbolized a pillar of the Cosmic Law. inse
How could the commotion from such a breakthrough be anything but enormous?
Therefore, the Four Gods had planned from the start to simply wait for the Lord of the Black Prison’s breakthrough. All they had to do was launch a sudden, decisive strike at the final moment.
At the very least, even if they couldn’t kill Him and He managed to escape, they absolutely had to sever His path to becoming a Pillar God.
Of course, if possible...
...the Four Gods still wanted to grievously wound this fellow and seal him away.
After all, being targeted by an Authority Level Peak Ancient God would be a massive headache even for Lince.
Thus, in their deliberations on how to deal with the Lord of the Black Prison, the Four Gods had each taken on specific roles. inse
But we shall not elaborate on that for now.
"Actually, the reason I’ve gathered you all has nothing to do with that matter."
"Nothing to do with it?" The God of Thousand Faces was taken aback.
"Another matter? One that requires our assistance? Now I’m interested."
"It seems you’re about to bring us another surprise, Nigredo."

Were the Three Gods of the Cosmos afraid of a challenge?
No, they were afraid of a lack of challenges.
For instance, the Three Gods were no longer interested in Low Demon Worlds, or even ordinary Middle Demon Worlds.
Conquering them was no longer important.
What mattered was expanding the territory of their game and cultivating their Clans. They used these worlds as little more than training grounds for their people.
However, this cultivation process was by no means fast.
After all, when it came to resources, the Three Gods were actually quite selfish.
Whenever a great prize appeared, they would inevitably claim it all for themselves to enhance their own power.
This was, in fact, the real reason why they had so few Authority Level beings under their command.
Besides, the Cosmic Game’s pace of cultivating Players wasn’t as focused or intense as the True Game’s.
Therefore, a new world—especially one with a massive amount of ’resources’ that could fuel their growth—was something they would never let pass them by.
Lince smiled nonchalantly. "It’s a surprise, I suppose."
"It’s just that, in terms of difficulty, it certainly won’t be any less than dealing with the Black Prison Race."
"In fact, it might be even more troublesome."
Hearing Lince’s words, the Three Gods were momentarily stunned.
But that momentary stun was instantly replaced by eyes filled with curiosity.
"More troublesome than the Black Prison Race?"
"Don’t tell me you ran into a civilization controlled by a Pillar God, did you, Nigredo?" the God of Thousand Faces quipped.
The God of All Machines shot the God of Thousand Faces a displeased look. "Enough, Thousand Faces. Don’t cause trouble."
"Let us hear Lord Nigredo’s explanation."
The Mother of All Things nodded in agreement.
After that, there was little else to say.
Lince proceeded to give the Three Gods a brief account of the long and bitter history between the Dragon Race and the Titan Race.
Afterward, the Three Gods fell into a brief silence.
It was obvious that all three were weighing the pros and cons.

"I never would have guessed. So you have such an interesting backstory, Nigredo."
"Still, I have to admit, I’m at a loss for words that your Dragon Race actually had two Authority Level beings in its original world."
Lince had only told them a half-true version of his relationship with the Dragon Race.
The gist of it was that Lince himself was part of a ’Project Fireseed’.
He didn’t elaborate on his transformation from a mortal.
Besides, the Three Gods didn’t actually care about the story of Lince’s rise to power.
All they needed to know was that Lince was strong enough to stand with them as an equal.
"Four Authority Level Ancient Gods and more than thirty Authority Level Followers."
"You certainly know how to find work for us, Lord Nigredo."
"But I admit, the temptation of such a civilization is indeed great."
The God of All Machines was clearly tempted, and the Mother of All Things was no exception.
"The Authority Level Clans of the Black Prison Race are as timid as mice. Before we even made our Descent, they had all scurried back to their own home worlds."
