Chapter 737: Chapter 732: Venerable Envoy
Inner City District, Gaia Group Silver Heart Branch, Gaia Building.
Standing before the magnificent Gaia Building, Bai Pu looked up, he could only see the spire of the Tower of Babel.
The Gaia Building is circular in structure, surrounding the central Tower of Babel.
Bai Pu is now at the west gate, where there were two guards. Bai Pu couldn’t gauge their strength, but initially estimated them to be Evolvers.
And just based on the aura, these two guards were much stronger than the two guards of varying height keeping watch over the Star Gate Barrier.
"Halt." Seeing Bai Pu attempting to walk into the Gaia Building, the two guards extended their hands to block him.
The door to the Gaia Building is sensor-activated; if it detects that the identity of the person is qualified, it will open automatically, allowing passage.
In other words, Bai Pu getting close without the door automatically opening indicated that his identity was not qualified, and he did not have the rights to enter the Gaia Building.
"I am..."
Bai Pu was just about to declare his identity as a "Major General Gaia" when he suddenly noticed, out of the corner of his eye, three red-skinned, brown-haired humans with red eyes, approaching while chatting and laughing.
Red Race!
Are they from the Burning Ash?
Bai Pu forcibly swallowed the rest of his words.
Of these three Red Race individuals, two had auras that Bai Pu could not see through, suggesting they were Evolvers. The other seemed to be a Peak Awakened, no weaker than Napo Gang.
"Move aside."
A voice filled with impatience sounded. One of the Red Race Evolvers casually waved his hand, and formless Gang Wind pushed Bai Pu aside, making him stagger embarrassingly.
Such arrogance. Bai Pu thought to himself.
However, with Bai Pu’s external identity as a Low-level Awakened, and his ordinary attire, no one in the prestigious Inner City District would likely take him seriously.
Especially not the notoriously xenophobic, quick-tempered Red Race.
Among the three Red Race individuals, the sole Awakened with deep-set eyes and a high nose ridge, upon seeing Bai Pu barred from entry, let out a mocking laugh:
"This is Gaia Group, not a city square. It’s not a place for any Mixed Blood to visit casually."
He spoke in the common language of Silver Heart Continent.
Bai Pu had a decent grasp of the common language, so naturally he understood.
He wasn’t angered, nor did he retort.
He merely felt inwardly that the Red Race’s arrogance was indeed undisguised.
Of course, this was also because of his own lack of strength. If it were a Mixed Blood senator, this sharp-nosed Red Race Awakened would certainly not dare to act presumptuously.
The sensor door silently opened.
The three Red Race individuals found it odd; they hadn’t entered the sensor area yet, so why had the door opened?
"It must be because Young Master Quentin has newly become a Major General Gaia and received higher privileges," one Red Race Evolver speculated.
The high-nosed Red Race individual was precisely "Young Master Quentin." He smiled smugly: "Looks like being promoted from Golden Vice Admiral to Major General Gaia expanded the range of privileges."
With a touch of undisguised superiority, Red Race Quentin strode forward to enter.
Suddenly, two young people, one male, and one female, emerged from inside the door.
The man wore wide robes and large sleeves, and the woman’s skirts fluttered; both exuded an ancient style, starkly different from the normal attire of the Inner City District.
Seeing these two traditionally dressed individuals, Quentin quickly took two steps back, making way: "Greetings, Venerable Envoy Liu, Venerable Envoy Li."
His face flushed slightly; he initially assumed it was his privilege upgrade that had opened the sensor door, not realizing it was due to someone exiting from inside.
This was truly embarrassing.
Fortunately, it’s hard to see a Red Race’s blush.
The wide-robed young man "Venerable Envoy Liu" nodded slightly, giving Quentin a glance: "And you are..."
Quentin became even more embarrassed and quickly said: "Venerable Envoy Liu, I am Quentin, just promoted to Major General Gaia, reporting for duty at the group."
"Oh, Master had predicted someone new would arrive and instructed us to guide the newcomer to the Inner Tower," said Venerable Envoy Liu.
Quentin felt greatly excited, the recent embarrassment disappearing completely: "Thank you both. I am ready and can enter the Inner Tower at any moment."
This grand reception was not something an ordinary Major General Gaia could compare to. Venerable Envoys Liu and Li were two uniquely trained disciples under the Tower Master, who usually resided at the top layer of the Tower of Babel, rarely seen.
"No rush." The skirted woman "Venerable Envoy Li" evaluated Quentin, "Are you the Master of the Primordial Planet?"
"Master of the Primordial Planet?" Quentin was startled and quickly shook his head, "I am not; I haven’t built my own Starship yet."
"Then the person Master wants us to guide is not you."
Venerable Envoy Li’s eyes, with faint glimmers, finally settled on Bai Pu, and she let out a soft exclamation.
Bai Pu felt as though he had been seen through. A tremor pervaded his heart; could this Venerable Envoy Li be a Peak Evolver capable of seeing through the disguise of his National Destiny Artifact?
The next moment, Venerable Envoy Li walked over to him.
"Are you the Master of the Primordial Planet?"
Before Bai Pu could respond, Quentin suspiciously interjected: "Venerable Envoy, isn’t there a mistake? This Mixed Blood... this person’s strength is insignificant; how could he be the Master of the Primordial Planet? He’s probably far from the Golden Military Rank."
"I am the Master of Earth... I don’t know if your ’Primordial Planet’ refers to that."
Bai Pu decided to stop hiding. He resolved to take the plunge; from the intelligence gathered on Gaia Group, Major Generals Gaia were quite valued.
Venerable Envoy Li’s ability to see through, as well as her "Master’s" incredible foresight, left Bai Pu inwardly shaken.
Given the circumstance, lying further would be futile; it was better to confess forthrightly.
Venerable Envoy Li smiled faintly: "Earth is probably what you call it. In the Silver Heart Great World, your planet’s designation should be ’Cyan Dragon 287,’ correct?"
Bai Pu nodded.
"Then it’s correct. You are the Master of the Primordial Planet whom Master instructed us to guide. Please come with us."
Venerable Envoys Liu and Li, one on each side, made a flawlessly courteous gesture of "please."
"...Thank you, both Venerable Envoys," Bai Pu said.
"You’re welcome. You can call me Senior Brother Liu, and call her Senior Sister Li," Venerable Envoy Liu said warmly.
Bai Pu felt somewhat unaccustomed and asked: "What exactly does Master of the Primordial Planet mean?"
"Well... you’ll understand once you meet Master," Senior Brother Liu hinted mysteriously.
They led Bai Pu all the way into the Gaia Building.
Quentin stood dumbfounded, watching the two Venerable Envoys depart, as they no longer bothered to say a word to him.
The Evolver companions beside felt embarrassed for him, but no one was willing to speak first.
"Aren’t you going in?"
The Guard, having enjoyed the spectacle, spoke up, "You’re a newly promoted Major General, right? You’re here to report in? Ask the receptionist for directions once inside."
"Oh... alright." Quentin felt secretly dejected but took the opportunity to descend gracefully, taking his Evolver subordinates into the Gaia Building.
