Chapter 58: God come by himself
The quiet warmth of the Void-Emperor Imperial Haven did not last the night.
The heavy scent of fresh mint and the soft rustle of ice-blue silk tulle were violently sheared away at the eleventh hour of their defensive cloaking window. Min-jae’s fingers, which had been loosely entwined with Gu Bylai’s pale hand on the leather sofa, instantly stiffened. Beside his right flank, Han Seo-yoon’s sapphire eyes snapped open as a profound, freezing weight settled directly into the marrow of her bones.
"The spatial pressure..." Gu Bylai gasped, her pouty violet lips turning white as she scrambled to her feet. Her traditional hanfu dress whipped wildly around her voluptuous silhouette as a sudden, torrential downpour of black water began to bleed straight through the palace’s solid white marble ceiling. "This isn’t an abyssal tracking array, Min-jae. The water... it’s carrying the ancient conceptual weight of a Primordial Creation Core!"
Crack!.
The master terminal console at the center of the lounge violently short-circuited. The blue holographic displays of the Celestial Compass Grid didn’t just flicker; they completely shattered into thousands of flying glass data pixels under the sheer mass of the incoming spatial distortion.
Major General Shin Ye-rin was thrown backward off her command platform, her short black bob damp with black rain as she barely caught herself against a marble column. Her gray eyes held a rare, un-adulterated look of tactical terror.
"Min-jae! The radar logic has completely collapsed!" Ye-rin shouted across the roaring thunder, her uniform shirt soaking wet as she tried to force a backup system online. "The entity isn’t an elite world boss or a regional vanguard commander. The system ledger has lost its classification metrics! It’s seems like a High Ancient deity from the True Creator Realm come!"
[Critical System Warning! An Absolute Sovereign Boundary Has Breached Your Haven!]
[Entity Detected: The Primordial God of Rain (Level 65 Creator Class)!]
[Field Penalty Imposed: ’The Endless Deluge’ — All passive armor attributes, true-sight modifications, and standard damage negation grids are suppressed by 50%!]
Min-jae didn’t spend a single second allocating his hoarded attribute points. With a single, sharp mental command, his True Vajra Sub-Divine God-Armor snapped back onto his frame with a heavy, metallic hiss, the light-absorbing dark alloy plates instantly covering his chest.
Voom!.
The open-air nebula sky above the palace lounge vanished entirely, replaced by a massive, twisting vortex of black, storm-swept clouds. Floating at the center of the downpour, completely bare-chested and draped in ancient, tattered silver robes, was The Primordial God of Rain.
He did not carry a golden scepter or a heavy black iron executioner’s blade like the lesser entities. His face was a featureless mask of smooth, liquid silver, and his eyes were two bottomless rifts of churning dark-matter whirlpools. The sheer presence of his Level 65 Creator Class was so intense that the skyscraper fortress began to groan, its foundational alloy struts violently bending under his passive weight.
"Mortal heretic," the God of Rain spoke, his voice sounding like the collective roar of a thousand oceans collapsing onto a single shore, tearing through the team’s mental communication lines. "You have played your little game of mirrors across the outer skies, using the sub-divine armor to mock our servants. You think your F-Rank regression cheat makes you an invariant wall?"
The ancient deity slowly raised his right index finger, pointing it directly at Min-jae’s forehead through the cascading black downpour.
"The Creator Realm dictates the source of your variables, child. Your mirror only reflects what it can contain."
Drip!
A single, microscopic drop of pitch-black rain detached from the God’s finger, falling through the air with a low, vibrating hum that completely warped the space-time fabric around its trajectory. It traveled at an un-trackable, conceptual velocity that entirely bypassed Min-jae’s Solar Zenith Domain before the field could even ignite its thermal friction.
"Min-jae!" Yoo Ji-a screamed, her finger getting tighter, her twilight spear as she desperately tried to sprint forward to block the line.
But the drop had already made contact.
Crash!
The microscopic droplet struck the exact center of Min-jae’s dark chest armor plate with the raw, compressed kinetic mass of an entire collapsing planetary sector. The un-blockable Cosmic Indifference passive fired off its calculations at supersonic speed, trying to force the magic-to-physical conversion loop—but the 50% suppression field choked the metrics.
The light-absorbing dark alloy plates of his sub-divine chest armor didn’t just bounce the strike; they violently cracked down the center with a deafening, metallic shriek.
Min-jae’s eyes snapped wide as a sudden, agonizing wave of conceptual kinetic force tore straight through his Eternal Vajra Deity Body. The absolute physical immunity failed to clear the entire spike. He was thrown backward across the lounge, his boots cutting deep trenches into the white marble blocks before his back violently slammed into the base pedestal of the throne dais.
[Warning! sss-Rank Negation Talent ’Eternal Vajra Deity Body’ has been partially penetrated!]
[Received 120,000 points of Absolute Conceptual Piercing Damage!]
[Your Health Pool has dropped: 100/100 → 75/100! You have taken physical injury!]
A thin, sharp trail of crimson blood spilled from the corner of Min-jae’s lips, splattering onto the pristine white stone floorboards. He sat against the base of the dais, his breathing heavy, his chest armor smoldering with a cold, black mist that actively ate away at his underlying mana veins.
The seven queens and Gu Bylai went entirely, terrifyingly silent. To them, Min-jae was not just their leader; he was an invincible god who had never taken a single point of damage since the first day of the apocalypse. Seeing him bleeding on the marble completely short-circuited their minds, instantly breaking their tactical composure.
"Y-You monster..." Yoo Ji-a printed, her violet eyes instantly turning a deep, blood-red shade of primal, unhinged fury. Her long ponytail whipped through the rain as her Sub-Divine Twilight Calamity Piercer spear erupted with a desperate, white-hot solar flare. "How dare you touch him ?!"
"Ji-a, stand down!" Min-jae commanded, his voice a low, gravelly rasp as he wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his gauntlet.
He slowly pushed himself up from the ruined stone, his deadpan black eyes looking up at the liquid silver deity floating in the storm. The initial shock of taking damage was gone, replaced by a cold, dark, and highly calculated grin that promised nothing but total universal slaughter.
