Chapter 535: Terrifying Power Of Assassination Skills [2]

The skill, obtained from Catherine, allowed him to phase into a void dimension where he could dodge attacks, reposition himself, or instantly appear behind his enemies.

Since he was moving through another dimension entirely, every attack passed harmlessly through the place where he had been standing moments before.

A heartbeat later, Isaac emerged directly behind Elyndra and swung his sword. One second had already passed since his declaration. The Florathi had anticipated his attack because he had openly announced it.

Elyndra immediately reinforced her strongest defense, compressing warped space into a dense barrier between herself and the incoming blade. The skill consumed an enormous amount of mana, but it was powerful enough to stop attacks from Apex Overlords.

At the same time, Belia completed a debuff and forced it onto Isaac.

One of the Florathi tanks activated a defensive skill to increase Elyndra’s defense, while another covered Elyndra with regeneration effects in case the attack somehow reached her.

Isaac’s sword crashed into the warped space. The blade cut slightly into the barrier before stopping. The defense held.

At that exact moment, Zahard moved.

His spear shot toward Isaac’s heart with terrifying speed, exploiting the opening created when Isaac’s attack stalled.

Two seconds had now passed.

Isaac showed no sign of panic. He activated Void-Silence Guillotine, a skill obtained from Catherine that allowed him to cut through ’space’ and ’void’ while preventing regenerative abilities from repairing the damage it caused.

At the same time, he activated Miracle of Grace, Alice’s healing skill.

Holy energy flowed through his body and immediately erased Belia’s debuff. The effect was instantaneous.

Isaac’s strength surged, and his sword pushed forward once more.

The warped space that had stopped him only moments ago split apart as though it had been made of paper.

Elyndra’s eyes widened. She attempted to retreat, but she was too late. Isaac’s blade crossed her neck before she could complete the movement. For a brief moment, everything seemed frozen. Then her vision tilted. Her head separated from her body, and the last thing she saw was her own headless figure standing several meters away.

Three seconds had passed since Isaac’s declaration.

"You bastard!" Zahard roared.

His spear had already reached Isaac’s neck. Under normal circumstances, dodging or blocking such an attack would have been impossible.

Isaac simply activated Shadow-Soul Substitution. The skill—from Catherine—instantly swapped his position with his shadow.

His figure vanished, and Zahard’s spear struck empty air. A moment later, Isaac appeared several meters away while Zahard struggled to stop the momentum of his attack.

Isaac immediately pressed the advantage. Solar Dominion activated around him, causing golden light to spread across the battlefield.

The skill weakened nearby enemies while simultaneously increasing the effectiveness of his fire and light damage.

Before the Florathi could adjust, he followed it with Daybreak Incarnate skill of Alice.

Power flooded every part of his body.

The skill increased his stats by one hundred and twenty percent and allowed him to ignore half of an enemy’s resistance.

The sudden surge in strength caused even the Florathi veterans to tense. They had already witnessed Isaac kill Elyndra in exactly three seconds.

Now the pressure radiating from him was increasing even further.

The two tanks reacted immediately. Multiple defensive skills descended upon Zahard. Layers of barriers appeared around him, while support abilities reinforced his durability.

The Florathi clearly understood that Zahard had become Isaac’s next target.

Unfortunately for them, Isaac had no intention of slowing down. Void-Silence Guillotine activated once again, and immediately afterward he used Venomous Spirit Threads on his sword.

The skill infused spiritual poison into wounds and thoughts, corroding both mental clarity and spiritual stability.

The poison was particularly dangerous because it attacked the mind itself rather than the physical body.

Isaac’s sword flashed. The barriers shattered one after another. The defensive layers that would have stopped most enemies lasted only an instant against his empowered strike.

Zahard attempted to retreat, but he was too slow.

The blade crossed his body, and both of his arms separated cleanly from his elbow.

Blood sprayed into the air as he staggered backward. The Florathi leader’s face twisted with pain and disbelief.

Moments ago, he had been certain that Isaac couldn’t break through their coordinated defenses. Now he was standing there without arms.

Before Isaac could continue the assault, a sharp warning exploded inside his mind.

His Sixth Sense skill reacted with unprecedented intensity. Every instinct screamed at him to move. The feeling was so overwhelming that Isaac acted without thinking.

He activated Phantom Step and Moonstep Silent Footwork simultaneously. Phantom Step came from Emily while Moonstep Silent Footwork came from Catherine.

Both skills specialized in mobility and dramatically increased movement speed. Under normal circumstances, the combination would have allowed Isaac to dodge almost any attack.

This time it wasn’t enough.

Isaac could feel it immediately. Whatever was coming was moving too fast. Even with both movement skills active, the danger remained.

At that moment, his Warforged Union skill—gained from his Warthrone Physique—revealed its terrifying abilities. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

The skill did not merely harmonize physiques. It also allowed abilities to interact with one another in ways that exceeded their normal limits. Phantom Step and Moonstep Silent Footwork merged under its influence. The result was not a simple increase in speed. It became something greater than the sum of its parts.

Isaac’s body blurred.

His speed multiplied nearly a dozen times.

The battlefield disappeared beneath him as he crossed an enormous distance in an instant. He reappeared on top of a distant building just as an invisible attack swept through the location he had occupied moments earlier.

The attack itself could not be seen, but its effects were obvious. Space distorted violently before erupting into a massive explosion of mana. Buildings collapsed. The ground split apart. Shockwaves rolled across the battlefield and forced everyone nearby to retreat.

Only after seeing the destruction did Isaac turn toward the source.

The Third Priest stood calmly in the distance. His expression remained composed, though there was a trace of surprise on his expression.

"I honestly didn’t think you could dodge that," the Third Priest admitted.

"You also didn’t think I could kill Elyndra. But we’re both looking at her corpse right now," Isaac taunted while revealing the pendants in his hand.

During the brief exchange with Elyndra, he had taken all of them.

For the first time since the battle began, irritation appeared on the Third Priest’s face. It lasted only a moment before he regained control of himself.

He raised a hand toward Zahard and released a powerful healing spell. Life energy surged across the battlefield and flowed into the wounded leader of the Florathi team.

The spiritual poison was removed almost immediately.

Yet something was wrong.

Zahard’s arms did not regenerate.

The Third Priest frowned and increased the amount of healing energy. More life power poured into the wounds. The result remained the same. Nothing happened.

The severed arms refused to return.

A realization slowly came to him.

Whatever skill Isaac had used was denying regeneration itself. As long as the effect remained active, even powerful restoration abilities could not repair the damage.

Isaac noticed the change in expression and smiled.

"Surprised?" Isaac asked with a cold smile.
