Chapter 513: Alice and Emily’s Combined Attacks
The livestream exploded with reactions. Thousands of comments flooded the screen every second as viewers watched the confrontation unfold.
Then Eleanor stepped forward.
"Remember the plan," she said calmly.
She moved ahead of the Thorn Tyrant and faced the charging Boss Monster directly.
Several people immediately sensed something wrong.
No.
Something dangerous.
Eleanor slowly lowered her sword.
She had already completed charging her attack while hidden by Lume’s concealment.
A deep silence surrounded her position despite the ongoing chaos.
Then she inhaled slowly.
And slashed.
The world turned white.
For a brief moment, nobody could see anything.
Then the light faded.
The battlefield fell silent.
All tornadoes were gone.
Every sharp wind attack around the Boss Monster had been cut apart completely.
More horrifying than that—
The Colossus Grazer’s front leg had been severed cleanly.
The gigantic Boss Monster stumbled violently before crashing onto the battlefield with a thunderous impact.
Shock spread across every team.
They had spent so long struggling against this monster. Apex Overlords had continuously attacked it together, yet their progress remained limited.
But Eleanor had severed its leg in a single strike.
Chills ran through several awakeners.
One needed to remember something important.
Eleanor was only a Low Rank species, and only a Champion.
Yet her attack had inflicted more damage than nearly every Apex Overlord present in the battle.
Zahard stared at Eleanor with a pale expression while cold sweat slowly slid down the side of his face. Even though the slash had not been directed at him, his instincts had screamed at him to run. For a brief second, he genuinely felt death brush against his neck.
’That woman...’
His fingers tightened around his weapon unconsciously.
’The Emperor knows her. And that swordsmanship realm... it’s far too high for someone at her level.’
A terrifying thought surfaced in his mind, and the moment it did, Zahard felt a chill spread through his entire body.
’Is she a reincarnator who was once a disciple of Sword Maiden?’
His breathing became uneven.
The memory of a past Trial resurfaced in his mind. A battlefield covered in corpses. A single swordswoman standing in the middle of countless enemies. And every slash from her blade erasing people so completely that even powerful awakeners could not resist.
Disciple of Sword Maiden.
Only those who had truly encountered them understood what kind of monsters they were. Every disciple was a legendary figure capable of changing entire battlefields alone. Their names alone were enough to make countless people fearful.
For the first time since entering the Great Dungeon, Zahard found himself unable to move for a moment due to pure fear.
Meanwhile, Eleanor’s body swayed slightly.
The slash had exhausted her completely.
Emily immediately stepped forward and caught her before she could fall. Eleanor leaned against her while trying to steady her breathing. Her face was pale, and even holding her sword seemed difficult now.
At that moment, another member of Lord Isaac’s team stepped forward.
Sera raised her hand calmly.
Mana fluctuations spread around her as she activated her skill.
Then something unbelievable happened.
The remnants of Eleanor’s sword slash, which had already dispersed into the world, suddenly trembled. The surrounding mana resonated violently as if the attack itself was being pulled back from reality.
Everyone stared at the scene with stunned expressions.
It looked as though the world itself was returning the slash.
Sera narrowed her eyes slightly and completed the activation of her skill. Instead of reconstructing the original attack, she twisted the resonant energy apart.
The returning slash fragmented into countless smaller sword slashes.
Each one was weaker than Eleanor’s original strike, but there were simply too many of them. The sword energy spread across the battlefield like a deadly storm before raining down in every direction.
The surrounding teams immediately retreated.
Nobody wanted to test whether they could survive those attacks after witnessing Eleanor sever the Boss Monster’s leg with a single strike.
Explosions rang out across the battlefield as barriers shattered and defensive skills activated continuously. Several awakeners were forced backward while blocking the incoming sword slashes.
At the same time, Emily’s summons charged forward.
The Thorn Tyrant finally completed burying its roots underground. Its gigantic body trembled violently before transforming into its second stage. Thick roots spread beneath the battlefield while the giant sunflower-like head on top of its body slowly opened.
A deep crimson light gathered inside it.
Then it fired.
A massive red beam erupted forward and slammed into the Boss Monster.
At another side of the battlefield, Avery, the Water Elemental Spirit, also completed preparing an attack. Countless streams of water compressed together into a dense blue sphere before launching toward the Colossus Grazer like a cannon.
The surrounding teams watched with confusion.
Emily was undeniably powerful, but this still wasn’t enough to kill the Boss Monster.
So why was she forcing everyone backward while creating space for her summons?
The answer appeared a moment later.
Alice finally stood up.
She had spent the last several moments recovering mana after exhausting herself earlier in the battle. Now, she raised her hand and activated a skill.
[Domain of War].
A massive pressure spread across the battlefield.
This was a Transcendent Rank skill originally granted to Isaac by the angel before later being passed to Alice. Even among high-rank skills, its effects were absurdly powerful.
The Level 5 skill immediately spread across all allies within range.
Combat awareness sharpened.
Fear and suppression effects weakened drastically.
Mana and stamina regeneration increased by 200%.
Then the true enhancement appeared.
Physical stats increased by 200%.
Magical stats increased by 100%.
Skill damage increased by 100%.
The aura surrounding Emily’s summons exploded upward almost instantly.
The stat increases themselves were already terrifying, but the truly dangerous part was the interaction between the buffs and the summons’ own skills. Once their abilities stacked together, the actual combat power of the summons skyrocketed several times over.
The battlefield pressure changed completely.
Even the Boss Monster sensed the danger immediately.
The Colossus Grazer roared furiously.
Violent winds erupted behind its massive body while gigantic tornadoes formed around it defensively. The surrounding ground cracked apart under the pressure.
At the same time, green mana rapidly condensed above the Boss Monster.
A gigantic shining spear slowly formed in the sky.
The pressure radiating from the spear caused several awakeners to instinctively retreat. Even Apex Overlords felt danger from it.
The Boss Monster ignored everything else and focused entirely on creating that attack while the tornadoes acted as barriers to stop Emily’s summons from approaching.
Then Emily activated another skill.
[Phantom Parade].
Mana poured out of her body at terrifying speed.
Her face immediately became pale as enormous amounts of mana disappeared from her reserves. Hundreds of Ember Spirits appeared in the sky around her.
This had been the first Talent skill Emily ever unlocked.
Now that it had reached Level 10, every spirit had become dramatically stronger than before.
The sky filled with floating humanoid spheres of fire.
The surrounding temperature rose sharply.
Alice moved to support Emily.
She immediately activated another skill.
[Choir of Faithful].
A gigantic holy magic circle spread beneath the Ember Spirits.
This was an SSS+ Rank Class skill that allowed Alice to select ten targets and link them together into a choir. If every member of the choir used the same skill simultaneously, the final effect multiplied tremendously.
Alice burned through her remaining mana without hesitation.
Again and again, she formed choirs.
The Ember Spirits raised flames together.
One giant fireball formed.
Then another.
Then another.
Each fireball was enormous, rivaling the size of a five-floor building. The flames surrounding them burned with terrifying intensity, distorting the air itself.
The other teams finally understood what Emily and Alice were trying to do.
"Shit! They’re trying to kill the Boss Monster in one hit! Stop them!"
The battlefield exploded into motion again.
The remaining teams surged toward Emily’s group while abandoning all previous caution. None of them could understand how two Adepts were capable of producing attacks on this scale.
This level of destructive power should not have belonged to people at their rank.
Yet the terrifying mana fluctuations in front of them proved it was real.
Unfortunately for them, they were already too late.
Emily looked toward the sky filled with giant fireballs.
Then she gave the command calmly.
"Burn everything to cinders."
The fireballs descended.
The sky itself seemed to collapse as gigantic flaming spheres smashed directly into the tornado barrier surrounding the Boss Monster. Violent explosions erupted continuously while the wall of wind was forcibly torn apart.
An opening appeared.
Every one of Emily’s summons attacked through it immediately.
The Boss Monster understood the danger instantly.
For the first time since the battle began, it completely abandoned concern for its own survival.
Its gigantic eyes locked onto Emily.
It had identified her as the greatest threat on the battlefield.
The enormous green spear above the battlefield finally completed.
Then it launched toward Emily.
The moment it moved, everyone felt instinctive despair.
The spear carried a guaranteed-kill effect. It was an attack empowered directly by the Dungeon itself. Blocking it was nearly impossible, and dodging it was equally hopeless.
Yet Emily’s summons did not move to defend her.
Because they had already received her command.
Attack with everything.
The Thorn Tyrant fired another crimson beam.
Avery released compressed water attacks.
The Overlord summons activated their strongest skills.
The Ember Spirits detonated their gigantic fireballs.
Every attack struck the Boss Monster simultaneously.
Then the battlefield disappeared beneath a gigantic explosion.
The world turned white.
Shockwaves erupted outward violently, throwing awakeners off their feet while tornadoes collapsed instantly. The ground cracked apart under the pressure as dust and mana storms spread across the battlefield.
Several people temporarily lost hearing.
Others struggled just to remain standing.
The remaining teams stared forward anxiously.
One thought filled their minds.
Was Emily dead?
There was no way an Adept could survive that spear attack.
Then another thought surfaced immediately afterward.
What about the Boss Monster?
Before anyone could confirm the result, notifications appeared before everyone simultaneously.
