Chapter 413: The Chains Of Inevitability

[Fourth World.]

Far beyond the fragile, lower dimensions of Earth, the Fourth World existed as a pristine sanctuary of highly concentrated spiritual energy. Here, the laws of physics bent to the will of ancient beings, and the very air shimmered with an ethereal, iridescent glow.

BOOM!

"....?!"

A fox lady gracefully blinked, her pointed ears twitching as she turned her head to the spatial fabric which violently tore opened before her. From the jagged dimensional rift, the battered, humiliated form of the 5th Aeon fell out, crashing unceremoniously onto the crystalline floor.

"Huh? Why are you so beaten up, Nick?" She asked, her ten magnificent, snow-white fox tails moving lazily with the ethereal wind, exuding the relaxed confidence of a supreme cosmic entity.

"4th Aeon! Give me the orb!! Now!! I need my full powers back!!" He yelled, his voice ragged with desperation, stretching his bruised hand frantically towards the lady.

"Why in such a rush?" She asked, mildly amused by his unprecedented panic. With a casual, almost dismissive flick of her slender finger, a spatial ripple occurred, and a pitch-black orb materialized in the air before them. It pulsed with a dense, abyssal gravity.

"You asked me to keep it so you could conceal your presence, why taking it back now?" She asked.

Ignoring her, Nick quickly snatched the black orb from the air, and without a second thought, swallowed it whole. The very next moment, a terrifying shockwave of suppressed energy erupted from his core. His aura burst out, spreading violently all over the opened space and rattling the crystalline structures of the Fourth World.

"I will kill you all!!" He yelled, his eyes burning with renewed, bloodthirsty arrogance.

The next moment, however, the fundamental laws of space completely shattered. The space directly behind him violently tore opened, ignoring the Fourth World’s supreme defensive wards, and from the dark void, a glowing golden chain flew out with impossible speed, securely wrapping around Nick’s massive body like a serpent.

"Huh? What’s this?" Nick gasped, instantly suppressed by the divine ability.

BOOOOM!!

With a brutal yank, the chains pulled him right back into the spatial vortex, which seamlessly swallowed him whole once again, completely stunning the Fox lady.

"What just happened? Who is strong enough to break through my space and take someone right before me?" She asked in genuine, profound shock, her tails stiffening as she watched the impenetrable space perfectly close shut, leaving no trace of the intruder.

"I must investigate this."

[Earth - Present.]

[Seonjeongneung Royal Tombs.]

"What is this?!!!" Nick stood up, stumbling as his boots hit the familiar soil of the Korean peninsula. He was moving his gaze around frantically, completely dumbfounded by the abrupt spatial displacement.

"How did I get back here?!!" He yelled, his heart pounding against his ribs as he turned to face Vespina and the two twin dragons, who were watching him like a specimen in a jar.

"Do you think jumping through space will help you?" Vespina asked with a mocking, victorious smirk, her demonic tail swishing slowly behind her, and added:

"Besides, I want you in one place... Just sit still and don’t move, that’s all I ask." She said, casually pointing a sharp, clawed finger directly at Nick’s chest.

"Do you think I am scared of you?!!!"

Nick screamed, pushing the black orb’s energy to its absolute limit. Massive, suffocating waves of crimson energy burst out from him, spreading all over the place like a localized hurricane, the sheer force forcing the three Sovereign-stage five meters backward.

"Huh? Did he push his strength to the mid sovereign stage??" Vespina asked, landing lightly and gracefully on her feet, raising an eyebrow at the sudden spike in his power level.

"Not bad. I thought he was a coward." Barak added, his golden eyes flashing with a competitive glint as he stabilized his stance, standing firmly on her right.

"Should I fight him?" Damila asked, her white eyes staring coldly at Nick, completely devoid of fear.

"He’s a mid sovereign stage, you’re only an Early sovereign stage. The Gap is huge." Vespina pointed out practically, reminding them of the absolute, insurmountable disparity between realms at the Sovereign stage.

"So we fight him together?" Barak asked, cracking his knuckles as heavenly lightning sparked across his white scales. But Vespina quickly shook her head, a rare flash of genuine caution crossing her features:

"If we fight here, Master will punish us, do you want that?" She asked, her voice dropping.

The twin dragons visibly shivered at her words, their legendary bravado instantly melting away, both utterly scared of the wrath of Mirabella.

"Am I Invisible to you?!!!" Nick yelled at them, deeply insulted that they were treating his ultimate power-up as a mere inconvenience. He furiously pointed a thick finger at his massive, red-skinned Beast standing nearby.

"Kill them!!"

GRAAAAA!!!

The colossal Gorilla smashed its heavily armored chest, making deafening, thunderous loud noises, and aggressively leaped towards the two dragons, both massive arms raised high to crush them into the earth.

"Please, if you want to fight, do it yourself."

Vespina sighed, completely bored, and simply stretched her elegant hand towards the descending Gorilla. The very next moment, thick, shadowy tentacles violently shot out from the ground beneath it. Their jagged tips opened wide, and they mercilessly bit down on the creature’s massive limbs and torso. Before the twenty-foot beast could even touch the ground, its entire life force and vitality was completely and ruthlessly drained, leaving only a withered husk.

BAM!

Nick watched in absolute, paralyzing shock, as his supreme summoned Beast fell heavily on the ground, completely dead.

"....?!"

Off to the side, the captive Cat lady was thoroughly horrified. But she wasn’t staring at Nick, nor the effortlessly concluded fight; her trembling gaze was fixed entirely on the long golden hair lady, sitting perfectly quietly on the branch of the ancient tree, completely detached from the chaotic group below.

’If this lady interferes, even the 2nd Aeon won’t be able to fight her... What sort of monster is this their Master??’ She thought, her mind breaking as she stared at the mythical Realm Destroyer, and slowly turned back to Nick, who was blindly, foolishly getting ready to fight:

’As long you don’t see her, you will never notice her, she’s like a ghost. Even with Nick’s boosted mid-sovereign strength, he didn’t notice this girl.’ She swallowed hard, realizing they were standing in a graveyard of gods.

"Come on, and die!!"

Nick yelled, losing his sanity to the bloodlust, and shot forward toward the three: "How dare you kill my summoned beast?!!"

Vespina, Barak, and Damila smoothly leaped back in perfect unison, dodging the shockwave as Nick’s glowing fist smashed heavily on the ground, sending massive tectonic cracks spreading all over the place, threatening the stability of the entire district.

"Wow, he is too powerful for this planet, if he attack again, this world will surely get destroyed." Barak said, lightly landing on the ground, casually dusting the sand off his shoulder as if he were discussing the weather.

Vespina landed softly on the ground, and lightly shook her head with a deep frown: "We can’t continue like this... We don’t want to disturb Master."

"Master! Master! Master!! That’s what you three have been saying from the very start!! I will disturb this Master and see what will happen then!!!" Nick yelled like a cornered beast. The black orb’s corruption overtook him, and violent waves of red energy burst out from him, spreading destructively all over the place, creating even deeper, catastrophic cracks on the fragile earth.

He raised both massive arms, channeling all his newfound Mid-Sovereign power, and smashed it heavily on the ground to shatter the very crust of the planet.

BOOOOM!!!

"We need to--" Damila started, her eyes widening at the impending collapse.

"--I hate this, so much noise."

A single, quiet voice sounded, effortlessly cutting Damila off and instantly overriding the chaotic roar of the battlefield. The entire group snapped their heads to the tree, as the golden hair lady, Celestia, finally turned her terrifying, emotionless gaze towards them.

’A realm destroyer?!!!’ Nick was suddenly paralyzed, horrified as the realization finally hit his heightened senses, staring at the golden-haired lady in utter disbelief:

’Was she the one who brought me back?!!!’ He thought, his arrogant face instantly paling to the color of ash.

"It seems we have guests."

Another calm, melodious voice sounded directly from the depths of the tomb. Every single soul on the battlefield instinctively turned their heads to the voice, their survival instincts screaming in absolute submission. They watched as Adira gracefully walked out into the light, her silver hair catching the wind, her expression completely cold; walking silently beside her was an older man, his expression flat and unreadable—this was Toxin, the poisonous centipede.

But it was the figure walking slowly behind the two that brought the entire world to a breathless standstill. It was no one other than the Master herself. Mirabella Sunny, A true, terrifying Divine Sovereign Stage Cultivator, stepping onto the battlefield.
