Chapter 395: Fall Of The Abyss: The Ultimate Price

[The Abyss.]

BOOOOM!!!

The suffocating, eternal darkness of the abyssal realm was violently torn apart by a blinding pillar of golden light. Dracula, alongside her two elite lords, sharply looked up at the dark, turbulent sky, watching in sheer horror as Mirabella shot out from the dimensional tear like a descending sun.

"Is that Mirabella?" Sagittarius was stunned, his usually featureless, shifting visage freezing as he felt the crushing weight of her divine aura suppressing the demonic realm.

"Let’s kill her." The third Lord sneered, drawing out her jagged, cursed dagger, completely blinded by her own arrogance. But Dracula aggressively grabbed her arm, harshly stopping her on track.

"That gateway was created by that skeleton, if she used it to come here, then...? We need to leave the abyss!! Right now!!" Dracula exclaimed at them, her survival instincts screaming. She didn’t hesitate for a fraction of a second, and instantly, the three vanished from the abyss.

"NADIA!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!!!"

Mirabella screamed, her voice enhanced by raw divine energy, sending physical shockwaves that shattered the obsidian spires of the demon city below.

"How dare you return here!!!"

Vassago, the proud Demon Emperor, and his terrifying first and second demon guards materialized violently above the sky, staring at Mirabella with burning, abyssal eyes, completely unaware of the massacre that had just occurred on the surface.

"Where is Nadia?!" Mirabella yelled at them, her golden eyes burning with an unholy, single-minded obsession.

"How would we know that?!!" The succubus Queen yelled back at her.

"Not speaking!!" Sunder glowed with a terrifying, apocalyptic red light, as tens of thousands of swords materialized perfectly behind Mirabella, completely blanketing the abyssal sky and utterly stunning the three demons.

[Two Minutes Later.]

The eternal Abyss was eerily silent. Mirabella stood amidst a literal sea of golden fire, staring blankly down at the severed, horrified head of Vassago, which was laying right on the scorched ground, then slowly moved her gaze across the entirely burning Abyssal realm. The once-great demon empire was reduced to mere cinders in exactly one hundred and twenty seconds.

She closed her golden eyes, meticulously expanding her sensory domain across the collapsing dimensions, and finally nodded her head as she locked onto a specific, distant frequency.

"Found you!!"

With that singular vow, she vanished from the dying realm, having completely wiped out, and destroyed the whole Abyss. In her blind rage, she had unknowingly shattered the core of the dimension, and unknowingly removed one more seal from Julian’s ancient prison, leaving the remaining 5 dangerously fragile.

___

[Sword Empire’s Imperial Throne Hall.]

BOOM!

The reinforced architecture of the grand throne room, shattered as the space cracked opened, and Nadia violently fell out from it, crashing heavily onto the polished marble floor.

’I used the abyssal gateway as a pretense. Instead of going to the abyss, I created another Gateway, and arrive at the empire.’ She thought frantically, pulling herself up the steps of the imperial throne as her charred, skeletal skin slowly started knitting back together in a gruesome display of forced regeneration.

"Master!! What happened?!" Carolina, and her ’family’—the mindless, high-tier puppets masquerading as imperial royalty—rushed to Nadia in profound shock.

"I can’t explain!! We need to get out of the second world!! We must head to the Third World!! Fast!!" She yelled at the three, her ancient composure entirely broken by the sheer, brute-force terror of the Sun family bloodline.

"What?! What about your plan?! Our forces are already at the borders of the other empires." Carolina asked, her mind struggling to reconcile this desperate retreat with the grand war they had just initiated.

"Forget that?!! If I take another heavy Damage, this body will die for good!! I need to recuperate!!" Nadia yelled at her, coughing up a mouthful of blackened blood.

’What sort of enemy will injure my Master to this state?!’ Carolina thought in complete, paralyzing shock, staring at the exposed bones of her goddess.

’Although this is Master’s one fragment, but still... To damage her to this state. It’s terrifying.’ She added inwardly, a cold dread pooling in her stomach.

"NADIA!!!!!!"

Mirabella’s furious, god-like voice sounded all over the Sword Empire’s capital city. The concussive sound was so devastatingly loud it bypassed physical barriers and reached every single soul in the capital, instantly shocking the hundreds of thousands of citizens and soldiers completely in place.

".....?!"

"Shit!!" Nadia violently pushed Carolina away, and desperately bit her own tongue, drawing highly concentrated blood:

"With my blood, I will send you to the Third World!! Locate the man I told you about!! Tell him to take back my fragment!!" She yelled desperately, pushing the limits of her core as a blinding red light appeared from her bloody fingers, which she pointed directly at Carolina.

"No!! Master!!"

The light shot forward like a bullet, and violently smashed into Carolina’s chest. Instantly, the spatial laws warped, and she vanished completely from the second world, forcefully entering the third.

"You actually sent her away, is that girl this powerful?" A dark, formless shadow casually appeared from the darkest corner of the opulent throne room, observing the panic with cold detachment.

"I thought you asked me to meet you at Galaxy City, how did everything turn into this?" He asked, his voice echoing with a distinct, otherworldly resonance.

"I was careless!! Go back to your main Body in the Third World, I already sent Carolina to you!! I will handle this girl." She said, her chest heaving, breathing heavily as she forced her body to rapidly repair itself.

"You are injured, and this fragment in you is cracked already. I don’t think I can bring it back, but I will try my best." He said coolly, completely devoid of empathy, and vanished seamlessly back into the absolute darkness.

Nadia chuckled bitterly, a sound utterly devoid of her usual arrogance: "Mirabella... I Vowed, Once I achieve my goal, and my main body wakes up, I will locate you, and have your head." She muttered darkly. Gathering the last of her energy, she violently shot into the air, completely destroying the reinforced ceiling of the throne Hall, and stood hovering high above the sky in the panicked Capital.

"Prepare to die, Nadia!!"

"I have thought about all the people I have killed... Only those that came from Earth will make you this angry. I now have a rough guess of the one. Luckily, I store the trophies from the special ones I killed, it’s my honor to them." She said, a twisted, malicious smirk finally returning to her regenerating face. She calmly snapped her fingers.

A simple, dark wooden box suddenly appeared in the empty air before them, and slowly flew towards Mirabella. Who blinked in momentary shock, her momentum halting as she turned her glowing eyes to Nadia:

"I am right!! Check my gift to you!!" Nadia yelled at her with sick triumph, as the heavy lid of the box clicked and opened wide, revealing a Head.

Bella’s Head.

"...?!!"

Mirabella completely froze in place. The blinding, apocalyptic golden aura around her flickered and violently as the absolute reality of the ’trophy’ registered in her mind. Her whole body trembled violently in unspeakable rage, and soul-shattering pain, completely broken by the sight of her Bella; reduced to a macabre prize.
