Chapter 393: The Island’s Erasure: Ascension

BOOOOOOOOM!!

The two gigantic attacks, the blindingly golden Sun and the Skull-formed sword, collided in the atmosphere with the force of collapsing stars. The sheer force and magical backlash of their clashing instantly overwhelmed the surroundings, utterly destroying the whole island into nothingness, leaving behind only a boiling crater where land once stood.

The Ghost Guild, along with the exhausted guardians, all flew right into the air, riding the catastrophic shockwaves to avoid the disintegrating earth below, with Nita firmly assisting the bewildered Jessica.

Miles away from the epicenter, Hayatobi and everyone else stood precariously on the violently churning water surface, their energy reserves draining as they desperately held the massive, glowing teleportation circle above the sky to secure an escape route.

"This is crazy!! Are those two crazy?!! They actually destroyed the entire island!!" Keegan screamed in terror, as the geography of the continent was permanently rewritten before his eyes.

Everyone stared at the huge, swirling explosion of gold and crimson in the sky, the air thick with the smell of ozone and vaporized rock, as Mirabella slowly, menacingly walked out from the raging inferno.

"Hahahaha!! I can’t die!!"

The thick smoke cleared, revealing the terrifying aftermath of the blast. It revealed Nadia, but the apocalyptic heat had stripped her entirely of her flesh—she was nothing but a charred, laughing skeleton suspended in the air.

"....?!"

They watched in absolute, visceral shock, as evolution took hold. Flesh started aggressively weaving itself over the bone, followed by thick blood vessels and dense muscular tissues knitting together at unnatural speeds. In seconds, Nadia’s whole body was completely back to human, unblemished and radiating dark vitality.

"I am the Unkillable Goddess!! Before me, everything kneels and die!!! I am the undisputed death!! How dare you, a mere mortal think you can kill me?!!" Nadia roared, her arrogant pride refusing to acknowledge the power of the Sun lineage.

Mirabella, completely ignoring the horrifying display of cellular regeneration, tightened her white-knuckled grip on the hilt of Sunder. The usually calm, calculating Queen—the strategic mind who maneuvered through the politics of the three empires—was gone. In her place was an entity of pure, unrestrained wrath.

"I promised myself... In this world, I will protect her!! But you... How dare you touch her!!!"

BOOOOM!!!!!

A blinding, absolute golden light violently burst out from Mirabella’s very core, spreading all over the place with the fury of a supernova. The sheer, overwhelming pressure of her awakening easily shattered the intricate, heavily fortified teleportation circle into useless dust. The immense attack smashed right into the boiling sea, forcefully rising the whole ocean and creating towering tides in an instant. The morning sun shone down on the apocalyptic destruction, and before everyone’s horrified eyes, Mirabella’s signature blue hair and eyes instantly turned to a blazing, pure gold.

BOOOOM!!!!

Another massive wave of concentrated energy burst out from her, smashing right into the arrogant Nadia, violently sending the entity flying thousands of miles backward through the atmosphere.

{Congratulations, Host activated the Sun Family Supreme Class Physique!}

Mirabella completely ignored the system notification flashing in her vision, and shot forward with terrifying velocity, only leaving burning golden afterimages behind in the fractured sky.

"Die!!"

She bypassed all concepts of distance, appearing directly before the recovering Nadia, and mercilessly smashed down with Sunder:

BOOOOM!!!!

The devastating attack tore right through the sound barrier with a deafening crack, forcefully smashing right into the churning sea below them, instantly parting the waters and creating a gigantic, dry pit all the way to the ocean floor.

"You bitch!! I can’t die!!" Nadia yelled in pain and fury, desperately blocking Sunder with both her arms crossed before her face. The sword easily sheared through her god-like flesh, driving itself deeply into her regenerating bones.

"We will see about that!!"

BOOOOM!!

Mirabella’s aura exploded once more. The concentrated golden energy violently smashed into Nadia again, breaking her guard and sending her flying backward like a broken doll across the waves.

’Shit!! This mortal vessel’s body is too weak!! I can only truly fight her on equal footing with my main body!’ Nadia gritted her teeth in absolute frustration. Turning her hateful gaze to the distant, floating form of Jessica, her mind raced.

"I missed all the opportunities!!! I don’t believe this!! I just don’t!!" Nadia screamed into the roaring winds, as a blinding red light violently burst out from her core. Bypassing her limits, a terrifying God class armor materialized directly onto her regenerating body, and a long, jagged red sword, forged from condensed souls, appeared in her hand.

"How dare you Mirabella!!! How dare you force me to use this!!" She screamed, her pride deeply wounded, and shot forward to clash with the golden Queen.

Mirabella coldly tilted her head to the side, her glowing golden eyes filled with an ocean of killing intent. As a synchronized response to the enemy’s escalation, a wave of dense golden light washed over her own body, instantly forming an intricate golden armor.

"I told you!! Today, you will die and everything and everyone related to you will die!! I won’t rest still I kill thousands!!!" Mirabella screamed, a dark, bloodthirsty vow that chilled the souls of everyone listening, and shot forward again to meet her enemy.

"This is not good!! I haven’t seen Master this angry before." Cupcake said, her fur standing completely on end as the energy turned toxic with rage. She urgently turned around to Carl, and the rest of the floating group:

"All of you need to find a safe place!! Master already lost control, I don’t think she is the one fighting there. Her anger already blinded her." Cupcake explained, her tone deeply anxious.

"What are you saying?! Do you mean she can also attack us?" Rose asked in profound surprise, struggling to reconcile this apocalyptic figure with the protective guild leader they knew.

"I don’t know, but right now, nothing is certain!! You just need to get out of here!" Cupcake answered, desperately trying to maintain the integrity of their hovering shield against the shockwaves.

"No way!! I am not leaving Big Sister! If she is out of control! We just need to get her back into control!" Carl said with fiercely clenched fists, his loyalty overriding his common sense.

"Are you stupid?!!" Cupcake snapped at him, her patience fracturing under the stress, and aggressively gestured to the god-level battle raging thousands of miles away across the ocean:

"You can’t even get 100 miles from her, and you’ll get killed by the backlash of their attacks!! This isn’t your battle, and also not ours!" She yelled, trying to force the harsh reality of their massive level discrepancy into his head.

"This?!"

Carl was completely speechless, his golden angel lineage suddenly feeling totally useless and pathetically weak in the face of true, unrestricted power.

"Don’t think! This isn’t about any of you being weak, it’s about your safety!! Nadia must have done something, something that triggered Master’s rage, to the point she even gained more powers! Even if one million realm Bosses get here, they will all die!" Cupcake explained, breaking down the cold logic of the bloodbath before them.

"Okay, but I am not leaving! Even if I can’t join the fight, I will stay right here!" Carl said with fierce determination, anchoring his stance on the hard light construct, and turned to glare directly at Cupcake:

"Don’t try, you can’t change my decision!" He added.

"...?!"

Cupcake was utterly speechless. She slowly turned to the others in the guild, who all silently nodded in unison, bravely standing their ground inside the heavily strained hovering barrier. Their loyalty to Mirabella was absolute, even if it meant risking annihilation.

"Gosh! Then just be safe!" Cupcake sighed softly, her tiny shoulders dropping as she turned her gaze back to the apocalyptic battle tearing the world apart.

’Please be safe... I, myself, I am useless.’
