Chapter 391: Wrath
Mirabella took a deliberate step forward, her boot meeting the empty air as if it were solid, invisible bedrock. She walked on the air like walking on a flat ground.
"In this world, there are only few people that can cheat death! My mother is number one. I am number two." She said, her voice echoing with the ancient, unyielding authority of her bloodline as she stared down the five writhing, formless shadow figures hovering before her.
"You are unkillable, but is your soul also unkillable?" She asked, her tone dropping to a chilling whisper as she tightly clenched her fist, summoning the darkest, most terrifying aspect of her lineage ability:
"Spectral Gaze, Stage three."
BOOOOM!!!
The spatial fabric tore apart with a deafening roar. The gigantic, ancient double gate materialized directly behind her. The heavy doors slowly opened wide, revealing the terrifying, red bleeding eye that seemed to stare into the very essence of existence.
"I just need to take your souls and that’s all I need." She added, her blue eyes turning golden, perfectly mirroring the apocalyptic red of the gate behind her.
BOOOOM!!
A massive, invisible sonic wave of pure soul-rending force spread all over the place, violently smashing heavily on the corrupted shadows. The absolute pull of the eye forcefully gripped their ethereal forms, mercilessly grabbing their souls like a hungry lion holding a fragile zebra.
"...?!"
The shadows thrashed in silent, formless agony, completely paralyzed by the suppression.
"I don’t give the fuck who are you... But you dare sneak an attack on my Little brother, that alone warrant death!" Mirabella roared.
Everyone present stared in profound disbelief and primal horror, watching helplessly as the terrifying shadow figures were violently pulled right into the bleeding eye, dragged screaming into the abyss before the heavy iron gate slammed closed shut with a final, resonant clang.
{Congratulations, Master killed 5 Nine stars cultivators.}
{Gained 5 billion EXP.}
{All EXP stored.}
"She killed them all?!" Nita was completely shocked, her divine senses failing to comprehend the sudden, absolute erasure of the entities.
"So instead of attacking them physically or using Spirit energy, she directly absorbed their souls..." Jang Gu swallowed hard, a cold sweat breaking out as he realized the true terror of the Sun family’s hidden arts.
"Is this still a human? She is beyond powerful." Bonita muttered under her breath, tightly gripping her golden shield.
Mirabella casually snapped her fingers, and the massive double gate instantly vanished back into the void. ’With the third stage of my Spectral eye, I can effortlessly take the soul of a whole city... Before this skill, everything without a powerfully anchored soul will simply be my prey.’ Mirabella thought. But as the extracted memories of the shadows rapidly downloaded into her mind, she suddenly froze in absolute shock:
"This?!!"
BOOOOM!!!
"....?!"
Everyone on the battlefield froze completely as a catastrophic, blinding golden energy violently burst out from Mirabella’s core. The sheer kinetic pressure pushed everyone present meters backward through the air, completely displacing even the Ghost Guild members.
"I finally found you!! Ultimate Sun Avatar!" She screamed, a raw, uncontained fury bleeding into her usually composed voice.
BOOOOM!!
A literal, massive miniature sun suddenly appeared directly above Mirabella, radiating an oppressive, holy heat that instantly illuminated the dark sky, casting stark daylight up to five hundred meters away in every direction.
"What is big sister doing?!" Carl asked in shock, shielding his visor as the atmospheric wind violently picked up around them.
"Hey!! She is angry! Her energy even threw me off her shoulders!" Cupcake yelled frantically at the guild members.
"Angry?! Why?" Austin yelled, landing heavily on the scorched ground, physically feeling the pressure in the air increasing exponentially.
"This girl is too powerful?! Is she still merely a Lv500?!" Fernando asked in utter disbelief, staring up at the blinding silhouette of Mirabella, only to see the terrifying, overlapping shadow of her own mother manifesting behind her:
"She is just like her mother!" He added, awe and deep-seated fear mixing in his voice.
"Why is she suddenly angry?!! I have never seen Big sister get so angry!! What happened?!" Grace yelled, also landing safely on the ground and gripping her staff defensively.
"I don’t know, but I strongly think she got the memories of those shadows during the soul absorption." Cupcake said, landing gracefully before the bewildered members.
The Guardians carefully listened to the spirit cat, and immediately turned their gaze towards Mirabella, who menacingly pointed one glowing finger directly down at the ruined, cratered ground.
"Light Bullet."
BOOOM!!
Defying her own spell’s structural abilities, the entire massive Sun Avatar suddenly shattered into millions of concentrated particles of light, rapidly moving towards her outstretched finger, and forcefully formed a highly condensed, hyper-lethal golden arrow instead of a simple bullet.
"Hiding underground!! Do you think I won’t detect you?!" Mirabella muttered with thick, suffocating killing intent, as the arrow violently shot forward.
BOOOOM!!!!
The arrow catastrophically shattered the earth’s crust, completely ignoring the structural integrity of the bedrock as it kept digging deep into the soil with deadly, unstoppable speed.
"Huh? What is she doing?" Nita asked, a little dumbfounded by the sudden, drastic shift from aerial combat to subterranean bombardment.
"It seems something important is hidden underground." Hitachi muttered under his breath, his eyes staring intensely at the huge, glowing hole, which was still steadily increasing in diameter from the destruction.
BOOOM!!
They watched in profound shock as Mirabella didn’t even hesitate, shooting rapidly right into the dark, smoking hole after her attack.
"Wait, Big Sister!!!" Carl yelled. Overriding any caution, he shot forward into the abyss.
"Hey!!" Grace didn’t wait either. Both she and Cupcake moved synchronously, diving fearlessly into the unknown, making it four instantly entering the hole to follow Mirabella.
"What should we do now?!!" Casey asked frantically, turning to Rose and Hitachi.
"I am naturally curious." Hitachi muttered calmly. Tightly holding his katana in his right hand, he simply shot forward, fearlessly leaping down the massive vertical tunnel.
"Are these kids completely crazy?!" Jang Gu yelled at the remaining Ghost Guild students. But the youths merely looked at one another, their unspoken bond absolute, and without another word, all collectively shot forward, blindly diving into the hole.
"We need to follow--" Bonita started, moving forward.
"--No!" Nita sharply cut Bonita off, and ran swiftly towards the jagged edge of the smoking hole:
"Watch the upper surroundings and hold the perimeter, I will follow them!!" She yelled, also boldly jumping straight inside the dark chasm.

"What... What happened?" Jessica slowly fluttered her eyes open, her vision blurred and her head throbbing wildly. As the darkness of unconsciousness receded, she stared at Nadia, who was now elegantly drinking her grotesque blood tea, having already completely finished with her macabre human food.
"You!! What did you do to me?!" She yelled at her, instinctively bracing for the agonizing pain in her shattered limbs—but suddenly froze. Turning her bewildered gaze to her fists, she saw that all her horrific injuries, the exposed bone and torn, burned flesh, were entirely gone, miraculously and completely healed.
"Huh?" She was utterly dumbfounded, staring at her unblemished skin.
"Seems your true hidden ability is finally showing..." Nadia said with a dark, knowing smile, casually taking a sip of the thick metallic blood from her delicate glass.
Ignoring her captor’s words, Jessica fiercely stood back up. Clenching her newly restored fists together, and fueled by pure, unadulterated adrenaline and spiteful defiance, she without hesitation forcefully struck the electrified cage once again.
BAM!!
"Hey! Are you stupid?!! Why are you attacking the cage again?!" Nadia exclaimed in genuine shock, entirely baffled by the girl’s relentless, utterly illogical persistence.
"I don’t fucking care!!" Jessica snapped back at her, completely willing to break her own bones a thousand times over if it meant fighting back.
BOOOOM!!
"....?!"
Both predator and prey instantly froze. They simultaneously raised their heads to the thick, reinforced cave ceiling, as massive, glowing cracks violently appeared on the stone surface, rapidly spreading outward like a luminescent spiderweb.
"What is happening up there?" Nadia murmured, a sudden flicker of genuine apprehension crossing her features as she rapidly got to her feet.
But there was absolutely no time to react or weave a defense. The very next fraction of a second, a blindingly bright golden arrow catastrophically burst completely through the ceiling bedrock. Moving with the wrath of a god, it effortlessly bypassed all of Nadia’s defenses, and smashed right into her chest, violently throwing the entity completely across the cavern and pinning Nadia deeply into the solid stone wall at the other end, completely stunning Jessica in place.
"....?!"
